Photovoltaic Devices from Multi-Armed CdS Nanorods and Conjugated Polymer Composites

Abstract: We demonstrate the preparation of composite photovoltaic devices by using the blends of multi-armed CdS nanorods with conjugated polymer, poly2-methoxy-5-(2'-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV). Multi-armed CdS nanorods are prepared by thermolysing single precursor cadmium ethylxanthate Cd(exan)2] in pure hexadecylamine solution under ambient conditions. The photoluminescence of MEH-PPV can be effectively quenched in the composites at high CdS nanocrystal (nc-CdS)//MEH-PPV ratios. Post-treatment of the multi-armed CdS nanorods by refluxing in pyridine significantly increases the performance of the composite photovoltaic devices. Power conversion efficiency is obtained to be 0.17% under AM 1.5 illumination for this composite device.

Abstract: The interaction process between electrons with electromagnetic waves in the free electron laser (FEL) is analysed and the corresponding gain expression is-derived. The result shows that it not only reflects the coherent emittanee of FEL, but also expounds the property with output saturation of lasers. The result of analysis is close to the experiment condition of FEL.

Abstract: The radiations fields of FELs are analysed by using the classical electrodynamics. The general characteristics of radiation fields are discussed, and the mathods of self-consistent solutions for the radiation fields of FELs are establised systematically by using the Maxwell equations, wave equation, continuity equation of electron, Lorentz force equation and energy equation of relativistic electrons.

Abstract: The relation of variational image decomposition and wavelet soft threshold was discovered recently by Daubechies and Teschke. A major issue is that thresholded coefficients entail oversmoothing of edges, coefficients set to zero yield Gibbs oscillations in the vicinity of edges, while coefficients remain corrupted generate artifacts. To overcome this problem, piecewise n-degree polynomial threshold and exponential threshold are used to decompose images in this paper, both of which have higher regularity. The near-minimizer of the variational function of image decomposition is obtained. Here, n may be chosen as any positive number and the bigger the degree n is, the better the approximation quality is. Thus, the connection of image variational decomposition and the modified wavelet threshold are obtained. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the model.

Abstract: Co-Ni alloy nanowire arrays were prepared by AC electrochemical deposition into nanoporous anodic alumina oxide(AAO) template with mixed NiSO4 and CoSO4 solution as electrolyte. The microscopy, crystalloid structure and magnetic properties of the Co-Ni alloy nanowires were investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), electron diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) respectively. The TEM and XRD results show that the nanowires in an array are very uniform and very regular, with an aspect ratio varying from 1 to 100, which have (111) and (011) preferred orientations during growth. VSM result shows that such nanowire arrays has a strong perpenticular magnetic anisotropy, the squareness (0.6-0.9) and the coercivity(0.64×105 A/m—0.8×105 A/m) of which were very high when the magnetic field was perpendicular to the axis of the nanowire. The coercivity and the squareness were much higher than those of planar Co-Ni alloy thin films. After heat treatment, the squareness of the sample was up to 0.8.

Abstract: This paper substituted the linear Gaussian scale space with a non-linear wavelet-based one,obtaining the edge detection in the wavelet-based scale space.Experiment results demonstrated its superiority over the Canny edge detection and it can preserve better the detail of image edge and has stronger effect of noise removal.

Abstract: The chemical reactions in combustor are described by integrating Eddy-Dissipation Model with Arrhenius rate coefficients. The cold and react flow fields of triplet impingement injector and combustor are simulated using the three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics method. Both helicity and mixing length are introduced to study the mixing mechanism and the effect of triplet impingement injector. The key characteristic parameters of combustor, e.g., spatial distributions of total temperature and pressure, residence time of gas flow in combustor, are obtained. The flow field characteristics of triplet impingement injector and combustor for Fuel-Oxidizer-Fuel (F-O-F) and Oxidizer-Fuel-Oxidizer (O-F-O) triplet arrangements are analyzed. The degree of F2 dissociation in combustor exit plane for O-F-O triplet arrangement is 13.5% higher than that for the F-O-F triplet arrangement under conditions of specified composition proportioning and combustor characteristic length. Experimental result demonstrates that the output power of laser is increased by 17%.

Abstract: 以正交设计研究4种代用基质即锯末混河沙(S/S)、花生壳混沙(PH/S)、锯末混炉渣(S/C)和KD-l型高吸水性树脂混沙性潮土(SY/S)]处理施肥比例和施肥浓度对麝香百合仔球繁殖与开花的影响结果表明,仔球繁殖综合评价指数最大的处理组合为基质SY/S(0.599.5),施N肥0.0071mol/L,NPK=1055,株行距8cm×15cm;其次为基质S/S(体积比为11),施N肥0.0143mol/L,NPK=51010,株行距8cm× 15cm;综合评价指数最小的组合是S/C基质,施N肥0 0143mol/L,NPK=51010,株行距8cm×15cm.不同处理对现蕾和开花期的影响差异显著,S/S基质施N肥0.0107mol/L、NPK=18915、株行距30cm × 40cm的处理组合使现蕾和第1朵小花的开放时间提前,叶面积系数较大,叶绿素含量也较高;S/S基质施N肥0.0107mol/L、NPK=18915、株行距30cm × 40cm的处理组合和SY/S基质施N肥0.0107mol/L、NPK=18915、株行距30cm × 40cm 2个处理的花枝鲜物质量和花朵直径较大,切花达标率较高,与其他处理间的差异达显著水平.

Abstract: In order to investigate fracture process of concrete crack and calculation method of specimen's maximum bearing capacity, concrete compact tension fracture specimens, which had four different sizes, were tested, and one of the specimens was measured by electrical strain gages equipment. Based on experimental results, a series of curves were obtained and analyzed, such as curves of loading point displacement vs variable loading on the typical specimens, and curves of fracture damaged area deformation vs loading. The stress intensity factor of specimens with different size fracture was calculated. For specimens with different sizes, the computation method of structure bearing capacity was presented through the stress intensity factor's computation formula and the fracture criterion. The calculated value of this theoretical method was compared with the experimental mean peak values, and the relative error of them is small. This indicates that the method of estimating structures' maximum bearing capacity is feasible.
