Modified Function Projective Synchronization between Different Dimension Fractional-Order Chaotic Systems

Abstract: A modified function projective synchronization (MFPS) scheme for different dimension fractional-order chaotic systems is presented via fractional order derivative. The synchronization scheme, based on stability theory of nonlinear fractional-order systems, is theoretically rigorous. The numerical simulations demonstrate the validity and feasibility of the proposed method.
An Adaptive Tracking Control of Fractional-Order Chaotic Systems with Uncertain System Parameter

Abstract: An adaptive tracking control scheme is presented for fractional-order chaotic systems with uncertain parameter. It is theoretically proved that this approach can make the uncertain parameter fractional-order chaotic system track any given reference signal and the uncertain system parameter is estimated through the adaptive tracking control process. Furthermore, the reference signal may belong to other integer-orders chaotic system or belong to different fractional-order chaotic system with different fractional orders. Two examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 1. Introduction In nonlinear science, chaos synchronization is a hot topic, which has attracted much attention from scientists and engineers. In the past decades [1–13], various methodologies in control of chaotic system have been proposed, such as variable structure control approach, adaptive control approach, and time-delay feedback control. Up to date, the interest of the scientific community and engineering technological applications in controlling chaotic dynamics has increased after the development of the approach of “tracking,” which can be used to follow an unstable fixed point or an unstable periodic orbit embedded or an arbitrary given reference signal in different dynamical regimes [3, 8–11]. In electronic and laser systems, the experiments on tracking the unstable periodic orbits and steady states were carried out [12, 13]. Some researchers design a controller based on the reference signal and make the output of the chaotic system follow the given reference signal successfully [10, 11]. However, many existed tracking control methods mainly focus on chaotic systems of integer orders [11, 14–17]. Up to now, there have been only a few papers on tracking control for fractional-order chaotic systems [18, 19]. In [18], tracking control of the fractional-order hyper-chaotic Lü system was reported, in which all the system parameters were exactly known. In [19], an adaptive tracking control of the fractional-order hyper-chaotic Lorenz system with unknown parameters was also reported. But, the tracking control methods in [18, 19] were unusual and only suited for specific fractional-order chaotic system, and the given reference signals do not belong to different fractional-order chaotic systems. Abstract: The unstable equilibrium points of the fractional-order Lorenz chaotic system can be controlled via fractional-order derivative, and chaos synchronization for the fractional-order Lorenz chaotic system can be achieved via fractional-order derivative. The control and synchronization technique, based on stability theory of fractional-order systems, is simple and theoretically rigorous. The numerical simulations demonstrate the validity and feasibility of the proposed method.

Abstract: A flow ratio control system using is introduced. It is composed of Sensor, Flow meter and Mitsubishi PLC, which is the core of the control system, and some other equipment as an example that Potassium Chloride and Sulfuric acid make Potassium Sulfate to introduce this control system using in the chemical industry. This control system controls the flowing of the Sulfuric acid based on the flowing of Potassium Chloride, satisfying the demanded of the technological requirement. The result of practiced application indicates that this system has high control precision and good Stability.
A LOD Algorithm Based on Unfull Quadtree

Abstract: In order to render massive terrain data in real time,this paper presents an improved LOD algorithm.This algorithm firstly simplifies the DEM data by using Mortan coding principle and stores the simplified data with an unfull quadtree.Then,it builds the real-time continuous Lod based on this unfull quadtree according to the relationship between viewer position and grid object space error.The authors bring out a method named "find the neighbors layer by layer" to patch the cracks between different layers and the procedures to find the different type neighbors are presented in this paper.Finally,it wipes off the invisible grids through back-culling algorithm.In order to improve the rendering speed,it uses Hilbert filling curve method to store and interleaved quadtree method to access the unfull quadtree nodes.The authors use the improved method to simulate the terrain of Jingjiang area and obtain a good effect.
Adaptively Accelerated GMRES Fast Fourier Transform Method for Electromagnetic Scattering

Abstract: The problem of electromagnetic scattering by 3D dielectric bodies is formulated in terms of a weak-form volume integral equation. Applying Galerkin's method with rooftop functions as basis and testing functions,the integral equation can be usually solved by Krylov-subspace fast Fourier transform (FFT) iterative methods. In this paper,the generalized minimum residual (GMRES)-FFT method is used to solve this integral equation,and several adaptive acceleration techniques are proposed to improve the convergence rate of the GMRES-FFT method. On several electromagnetic scattering problems,the performance of these adaptively accelerated GMRESFFT methods are thoroughly analyzed and compared.
Changes of eye signs in chronic hepatitis B patients with blood stasis syndrome

Abstract: Objective: To study the characteristics of eye signs in chronic hepatitis B patients with blood stasis syndrome and the association between blood stasis syndrome and eye signs. Methods: A total of 126 patients with chronic hepatitis B were randomly divided into four groups: non-blood stasis group, and mild, moderate and severe blood stasis groups. The changes of eye signs in the four groups were tested and compared. Results: There were significant differences in scores of blood stasis and eye signs among the four groups (P<0.05 or P<0.01). The changes of eye signs in chronic hepatitis B patients with blood stasis syndrome were different with those with non-blood stasis syndrome. There were no significant differences in each item of the eye signs among the four groups (P>0.05).Conclusion: The eye signs of blood stasis syndrome are applicable, objective and convenient for diagnosing blood stasis syndrome in patients with chronic hepatitis B.
A Space-bit-plane Scrambling Algorithm for Image Based on Chaos

Abstract: Image scrambling is an important technique in digital image encryption and digital image watermarking. This paper's main purpose is to research how to scramble image by space-bit-plane operation (SBPO). Based on analyzing traditional bit operation of individual pixels image scrambling method, this paper proposed a new scrambling algorithm. The new scrambling algorithm combined with SBPO and chaotic sequence. First, every eight pixels from different areas of image were selected according to chaotic sequence, and grouped together to form a collection. Second, the SBPO was performed in every collection and built eight pixels of the image with new values. The scrambling image was generated when all pixels were processed. In this way, the proposed algorithm transforms drastically the statistical characteristic of original image information, so, it increases the difficulty of an unauthorized individual to break the encryption. The simulation results and the performance analysis show that the algorithm has large secret-key space, high security, fast scrambling speed and strong robustness, and is suitable for practical use to protect the security of digital image information over the Internet.
Energy of forest systems in the Three Gorge Reservoir Area

Abstract: The energy of three forest ecosystems in the Three Gorge Reservoir Area were analyzed. The results showed that the existing energy were 151.2438, 139.2014 and 175.1659 (x1010 J/hm2), the annual net fixed energy were 38.8924, 31.2214 and 46.8231 (x1010J/hm2), and the utilization efficiency of light energy were 1.16, 0.99 and 1.40 for the Quercus acutissima forest(Q.A.), the Pinus massoniana forest (P.M.), and the Queresus acutissima and Pinus massoniana mixed forest (Q.P.), respectively. In the Three Gorge Reservoir Area, the energy efficiency of Quercus acutissima and Pinus massoniana mixed forest is the best.
Species diversity and faunal characteristics of marine polychaetes in the Yellow Sea

Abstract: Polychaetes are one of the most frequent and dominant groups among the marine macrobenthos.Thus,they often play an important role in marine benthic ecosystems.The present study summarizes the literature data on the taxonomy,biodiversity and biogeography of marine polychaetes recorded in the China seas.A critical checklist of 278 species of polychaetes found from the Yellow Sea is presented.The faunal characteristics and biogeographical patterns of the polychaetes from the Yellow Sea were compared with those from the other areas of the China seas.
