Abstract: Let \"\"be a hypercube in Rn. We prove theorems concerning mean-values of harmonic and polyharmonic functions on In(r), which can be considered as natural analogues of the famous Gauss surface and volume mean-value formulas for harmonic functions on the ball in and their extensions for polyharmonic functions. We also discuss an application of these formulas—the problem of best canonical one-sided L1-approximation by harmonic functions on In(r).
Dielectric Loading for Bandwidth Enhancement of Ultra-Wide Band Wire Monopole Antenna

Abstract: This work presents the results of numerical simulations and parametric studies of dielectric loaded wire monopole antenna, of which the main advantage is bandwidth enhancement. Introducing dielectric loading makes it possible to tune antenna to operate over a frequency range not covered with unloaded antenna, while maintaining an omnidirectional radiation pattern. The simulations are performed when loading is done with lossy as well as lossless dielectric and the results are compared. The observational frequency range is extended up to 40 GHz. In addition, the simulated results are compared with the measured of four fabricated antennas loaded with lossy dielectric and a good agreement is obtained.

So, new technologies and new social norms are altering the formality of the scientific communication, including the format of the scientific paper. In the future, as PLoS One is experimenting right now, journals will be online hosts for all styles of scientific contributions and ways to link them together, with different people contributing to a body of work and making science more interdisciplinary and interconnected.
SUSY Searches at the Tevatron

Abstract: In this article results from supersymmetry searches at D0 and CDF are reported. Searches for third generation squarks, searches for gauginos, and searches for models with R-parity violation are described. As no signs of supersymmetry for these models are observed, the most stringent limits to date are presented.

Abstract: The CDF and D0 experiments at the Tevatron $p\bar{p}$ Collider collected data between 2002 and 2011, accumulating up to 10 $\rm{fb^{-1}}$ of data. During that time, an extensive search for the standard model Higgs boson was performed. Combined results from the searches for the standard model Higgs boson with the final dataset are presented together with results on the Higgs boson couplings and spin and parity.

Abstract: The results of the determination of the thermodynamic properties for ternary systems Cr-Co-Me (Me = Mo, Al) using a new general solution model for the predictions are presented in this work. For five sections (with mole ratio Co : Me = 2:8, 4:6, 5:5, 6:4, 8:2) investigated in each ternary system at temperature of 2000 K, integral molar excess Gibbs energies and partial molar thermodynamic properties of chromium were calculated.

Abstract: Binary thermodynamic data, successfully used for phase diagram calculations of the binary systems In–Sb, Bi–Sb and In–Bi, were used fort the prediction of phase equilibria in the ternary system In–Sb–Bi at 300 oC. The predicted equilibria were compared with the results of SEM–EDX analysis.

Abstract: This work presents new method, retrieved results and validation for complex and frequency dependent permittivity and permeability parameter extraction of two composite, homogeneous and isotropic magnetically loaded microwave absorbers. Permittivities and permeabilities are extracted from free space transmission measurements for frequencies from 22 up to 140 GHz. For validation of the results reflection measurements (samples with and without metal backing) are performed and are compared with simulations that use extracted models. The proposed new method solves some shortcomings of the popular methods: extracts both permittivity and permeability only from transmission parameter measurements, gives good results even with noisy data, does not need initial guesses of unknown model parameters.
