A Linguagem do Corpo na Devo o Popular do Catolicismo

Abstract: O presente texto aborda a linguagem do corpo no catolicismo popular partindo da análise de uma categoria de devo o que se utiliza muito de express es corporais para manifestar a fé: a devo o sacrificial. Entende-se aqui por devo o sacrificial a devo o ao Cristo sofredor. é uma devo o que requer que o fiel estabele a uma rela o de imita o do sacrifício da divindade. Essa imita o acontece a partir de atos de auto-flagela o do corpo como forma de comunica o com o sagrado. Rela o que o autor, utilizando um conceito de René Girard, classifica de "mimesis sacrificial". Práticas sacrificiais que têm como objetivo implícito apaziguar o sofrimento, comum aos devotos do Cristo sofredor. Procura-se fazer, num primeiro momento, uma distin o entre devo o popular e espiritualidade. Em seguida aborda-se o conceito de sacrifício, sua utiliza o como linguagem do corpo nesta devo o, classificada aqui como categoria. Nesta devo o o corpo é visto como locus de manifesta o teológica e expressa uma linguagem simbólica que comunica com o sagrado.
Innovation and Sustainability in the Supply Chain of a Cosmetics Company: a Case Study

Abstract: the article analyses the induction process of technological innovations that consider economic, social and environmental concerns throughout the supply chain, in accordance with the proposals of sustainable development. specifically, it examines the role of focal companies as innovation inductors for their supply chains. the article presents a debate with regards to innovation, sustainability and supply chain management and analyses the concept of sustainable innovation, as well as management models that bridge the gap between these themes. a case study conducted with a cosmetics company of brazilian origin and presence in latin america, is presented. this case study demonstrates that sustainable innovation driven by the focal company requires the engagement of its suppliers in order to reduce the negative social and environmental impacts throughout the product’s life cycle. moreover, it illustrates that is possible to implement innovations that generate net social and environmental benefits for all members of the supply chain.

Abstract: study design: experimental. method: a mathematical model of the aerodynamic and viscoelastic equations of the larynx, reproducing its anatomic and physiologic characteristics, is proposed to simulate the organ during phonation. aim: its objective is to provide a new tool to the discipline of otorhinolaryngology in order to better understand the physical phenomena present in phonation, both in normal and pathologic cases. results: the obtained results showed several physical phenomena, such as the horizontal and vertical phase difference among the vocal fold surface movements, the formation of negative pressure over the superior portion of the glottis, and vortex formation after the glottal constriction are reproduced by the model. additionally, theoretical studies about some laryngeal diseases are presented and discussed, suggesting that previous and "virtual" evaluations of surgical interventions will be feasible in the future.

Abstract: the cubiu (solanum sessiliflorum dunal) is a native arbustiva solanacea of the amazon whose fruits present a high concentration citric acid. this study was carried to verify the effect of substrate and temperature on the germination capacity of cubiu seeds. this study was developed in the seed analysis laboratories at the agrarian science center at the universidade federal do espírito santo (cca-ufes), alegre-es, brazil. a cinpletely randomized design was used with four repetitions of 50 seeds, in a 6x6 factorial outline, with six substrates (on vermiculite (v); between sand (ea); on paper (sp); on sand (sa); on mixture soil+sand+esterco (tae) and paper roll (rp) and six temperatures (constant of 20, 25 and 30oc and alternated of 20-25; 25-30 and 20-30oc). the following characteristics were assessed: germination (%); emergency speed index(ive); hard and deteriorated seeds (%); normal and abnormal seedlings (%); seedlings height (mm) and canopy and root dry matter (mg). the results showed that the substrate on sand and between sand under 20-30oc were the best conditions for cubiu seed germination.

Abstract: corporate reputation is frequently associated with organizational performance. however, the literature suggests that corporate communication and the stakeholder's identification with the organization are both relevant when it comes to explaining differences in corporate reputation evaluation. considering these inputs, this study tests the relationship between corporate reputation, identification, corporate communication and organizational performance. the research occurred in two phases because it was necessary to develop or adapt the measurement scale for each one of the four constructs. all measures were perceptual in nature. the second phase of the research consisted of data gathering and analyses; and for that, the scales tested in the phase one were used. data from 12 organizations were collected, resulting in a sample of 2,139 respondents or 1,025 employees and 1,114 customers. structural equation modeling was used for analyzing the data. the results show strong effects of communication on organizational identification and reputation, as well as of identification on corporate reputation. the impact of reputation on organizational performance was also relevant. the study leads to the conclusion that communication and identification are critical factors in explaining the variability of reputation of organizations and, consequently, performance.

Abstract: FORMA DE ESTUDO: Experimental. MéTODO: Um modelo matemático das equa es aerodinamicas e viscoelásticas da laringe, reproduzindo suas características anat micos e fisiológicos, é proposto para simular a laringe durante a fona o. OBJETIVO: Fornecer uma ferramenta nova para a disciplina de otorrinolaringologia de maneira a compreender melhor os fen menos físicos presentes na fona o, tanto em casos normais quanto em patológicos. Abstract: The present study at the doctoral level, is in the initial phase of the Program Graduate School of Education UNESP, SP-Araraquara campus. That makes an analysis of government policies in distance education system through the Open University of Brazil (UAB). We present in this moment, the historical background of the creation and expansion of the system of the Open University of Brazil with emphasis on policies of expansion of higher education and also the degree in pedagogy courses offered by the partner universities of the University System in Brazil Open southeast. Among the main objectives of the study is to compare the Brazilian government policies of expansion of higher education with the management and characteristics of undergraduate courses in pedagogy. Partial results indicate a total 51 universities that offer degree courses in pedagogy at UAB system in Brazil, including 12 institutions in the Southeast.

Abstract: The first step sequence that involves the germination process is imbibition. The limitation of water to the seed at planting time can reduce germination and velocty as well as the development of the seedling. Hence, the objective of this study was to evaluate the germination and seedling development of jatropha under conditions of water stress by polyethylene glycol (PEG6000). The study was conducted at the Research Laboratory of the Department of Crop Seeds, Federal University of Vi osa. We used seeds of jatropha in temperature de 30 °C under osmotic potential levels of 0.0, -0.2, -0.4, -0.6, -0.8, -1.0 and -1.2. The performance of seed germination and seedling development were evaluated by germination (first and second count), index of germination velocity, time of germination, length and primary root and hypocotyl length. The experimental design was completely randomized design with six levels of osmotic potential to more witnesses and four replications. We conducted the analysis of variance and regression of the data and curves fitted by quadratic polynomial model for all variables. The reduction in osmotic potential of the substrate caused a significant reduction in germination of seeds of jatropha, as well as the speed of germination and seedling performance of this species. The fall of germination and seedling performance is enhanced and levels considered critical to -0.2 MPa and inhibits germination from -1.2 MPa. O trabalho foi desenvolvido no Laboratório de Pesquisa em Sementes do Departamento de Fitotecnia da Universidade Federal de Vi osa. Utilizaram-se sementes de pinh o manso em temperatura de 30oC sob os níveis de potencial osmótico de 0,0; -0,2; -0,4; -0,6; -0,8; -1,0 e -1,2. O desempenho germinativo das sementes e o desenvolvimento das plantulas foram avaliados pelos testes de germina o (primeira e segunda contagem), índice de velocidade de germina o, tempo médio de germina o, comprimento de raiz primária e comprimento do hipocótilo. Abstract: Scintillators are high-density luminescent materials that convert X-rays to visible light. Thallium doped cesium iodide (CsI:Tl) scintillation materials are widely used as converters for X-rays into visible light, with very high conversion efficiency of 64.000 optical photons/MeV. CsI:Tl crystals are commercially available, but, the possibility of developing these crystals into different geometric shapes, meeting the need for coupling the photosensor and reducing cost, makes this material very attractive for scientific research. The objective of this work was to study the feasibility of using radiation sensors, scintillators type, developed for use in imaging systems for X-rays. In this paper, the CsI:Tl scintillator crystal with nominal concentration of the 10-3 M was grown by the vertical Bridgman technique. The imaging performance of CsI:Tl scintillator was studied as a function of the design type and thickness, since it interferes with the light scattering and, hence, the detection efficiency plus final image resolution. The result of the diffraction X-ray analysis in the grown crystals was consistent with the pattern of a face-centered cubic (fcc) crystal structure. Slices 25 × 2 × 3 mm3 (length, thickness, height) of the crystal and mini crystals of 1 × 2 × 3 mm3 (length, thickness, height) were used for comparison in the imaging systems for X-rays. With these crystals scintillators, images of undesirable elements, such as metals in food packaging, were obtained. One-dimensional array of photodiodes and the photosensor CCD (Coupled Charge Device) component were used. In order to determine the ideal thickness of the slices of the scintillator crystal CsI:Tl, Monte Carlo method was used.
