Avalia o de cinco híbridos de milho (Zea mays, L.) em diferentes estádios de matura o: 1. Produtividade, características morfológicas e correla es

Abstract: Este trabalho foi conduzido para se avaliarem produtividade e as características morfológicas de cinco híbridos de milho Pioneer: superprecoce P32R21, os precoces P30R07, P3041, P30F33 e o semiprecoce P30F80, em cinco estádios de matura o. O delineamento utilizado foi de blocos ao acaso, com cinco tratamentos e quatro repeti es. A colheita das amostras dos híbridos de milho foi adotada estimando-se cinco estádios de maturidade da planta: 30, 34, 38, 42 e 46% de matéria seca. Por ocasi o da colheita, no primeiro estádio de matura o, foram tomados alguns parametros para avalia o, como altura da planta, altura inser o de espiga, peso da planta, diametro de colmo e número médio de espigas. Para cada estádio de matura o, procedeu-se à separa o de colmo + bainha, lamina foliar, gr o, sabugo e palha. Os híbridos superprecoce P32R21 e o precoce P3041 apresentaram maiores peso, diametro de colmo e altura de planta. As produ es de matéria seca (MS), massa verde, gr os, lamina foliar e colmo + bainha, expressas em toneladas/ha, diferiram entre os híbridos avaliados e houve efeito de dias pós-plantio (DPP). O aumento na produ o de MS verificado com o avan o do estádio de maturidade dos híbridos foi correlacionado positivamente com o aumento da produ o de gr os (R2 = 64,3%). A produ o de MS correlacionou-se positivamente com a percentagem de espiga (R2 = 56,0%) e negativamente (R2 = -56,7%) com a percentagem de colmo + bainha (em rela o a planta inteira).

Abstract: Este trabalho foi conduzido para avaliar a concentra o de componentes estruturais de cinco híbridos de milho Pioneer: o superprecoce P32R21, os precoces P30R07, P3041, P30F33 e o semiprecoce P30F80, em cinco estádios de matura o. O delineamento utilizado foi de blocos ao acaso, com cinco tratamentos e quatro repeti es. A colheita das plantas dos híbridos de milho foi realizada em cinco estádios de matura o propostos: 30, 34, 38, 42 e 46% de matéria seca (MS). Para cada estádio de matura o, procedeu-se à separa o de colmo + bainha, lamina foliar, gr o, sabugo e palha. Depois das pesagens e com posterior determina o dos teores de MS, foram obtidas as concentra es (%) de gr o, de sabugo + palha, de espiga, de colmo + bainha e de lamina foliar em rela o à planta inteira dos cinco híbridos, nos cinco estádios de matura o. Para todos os parametros avaliados, os híbridos diferiram entre si e apresentaram significancia de dias pós-plantio (DPP). Ficou caracterizado que, com o avan o do estádio de maturidade da planta, ocorreram aumento nas concentra es (%) de espiga e gr os e diminui o nas concentra es da lamina foliar e colmo + bainha em rela o à MS da planta inteira.

Abstract: O efeito de substitui o do milho pelo resíduo desidratado de fecularia de mandioca (0; 12,5; 22,8 e 32,7%) foi avaliado sobre o desempenho, a digestibilidade e características de carca a e 32 bovinos mesti os ( Nelore x Angus) de aproximadamente 18 meses de idade e 380 kg de peso vivo. O delineamento experimental foi o inteiramente casualizado, com quatro tratamentos e oito repeti es. Foram analisados o ganho médio diário (GMD), rendimento de carca a (RC), espessura de gordura de cobertura (EGC), área de olho de lombo (AOL), comprimento de perna (CP), espessura de cox o (EC), ingest ode matéria seca (IMS), convers o alimentar (CA), digestibilidade total aparente da matéria seca (DAMS), matéria organica (DAMO), proteína bruta (DAPB), energia bruta (DAEB), fibra em detergente ácido (DAFDA) e fibra em detergente neutro (DAFDN). O experimento foidesenvolvido durante um período de 56 dias, após 14 dias de adapta o. Os resultados de GMD, RC, CA, EGC, AOL, CP e EC n o apresentaram diferen as (p > 0,05) entre os tratamentos. A IMS apresentou redu o linear quando o milho foi substituído pelo resíduodesidratado de fecularia de mandioca. Os coeficientes de digestibilidade da MS, MO, PB, EB, FDN e FDA n o variaram entre as ra es experimentais. The effects of replacing corn with different levels of cassava starch by-products (0; 12.5; 22.8; and 32.7%) were evaluated on performance, digestibility and carcass traits of feedlot bulls. Thirty-twocrossbred bulls ( Nelore x Angus) around 18 months of age and 380 kg of body weight were used. A completely randomized design was used, with 4 treatments and 8 replicates. Evaluated traits were: average daily gain (ADG), carcass dressing (CD), backfat thickness (BT), Longissimus area (LDA), leg length (LL) and cushion thickness (CT), dry matter intake (DMI), feed conversion ratio (FCR), total apparent digestibility of dry matter (DMDC), organic matter (OMDC), crude protein (CPDC), crude energy (CEDC), acid detergent fiber (ADFDC) and neutral detergent fiber (NDFDC). The experiment was developed during a period of 56 days, after 14 days of adaptation. No differences wereobserved for BDG, CY, FCR, BT, LDA, LL, and CT results did not present differences (p > 0.05) among the treatments. DMI presented linear decrease as corn was replaced by cassava starch by-products. The digestibility coefficients of DM, OM, CP, CE, NDF and ADF did not vary among the experimental rations.

Abstract: This work was carried out to study the effects of replacing corn by different levels of cassava starch (0; 12.5; 22.8 and 32.7%) on performance and carcass characteristics of bulls finished in feedlot. Thirtytwo crossbred bulls ( Aberdeen Angus vs. Nellore) with 18 months old and 380 + 24 kg live weight were used in a completely randomized experimental design with four treatments and eight replications. The experiment was realized during 56 days with 14 days for adaptation. The complete diets [roughage (cottonseed hulls) + concentrate (corn, soybean meal and cassava starch)] were given at 8 am and at 4 pm to bulls. It was analyzed the initial weight (IW), final weight (FW), average daily gain (ADG), dry matter intake (DMI), feed conversion (FC), hot carcass dressing (HCD), fat thickness (FAT), Longissimus muscle area (LMA), leg length (LL) and cushion thickness (CT). The IW, FW, ADG, FC, HCW, HCD, FT, LMA, LL and CT did not present difference (P > 0.05) among levels of replacing corn by cassava starch. The results obtained on performance and carcass traits using cassava starch by-products as a replacement for corn can be considered satisfactory. Objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar o efeito do nível de substitui o (0; 12,5; 22,8 e 32,7%) do milho pelo resíduo de fecularia de mandioca sobre o desempenho e características de carca a de bovinos em confinamento. Trinta e dois machos inteiros mesti os ( Aberdeen Angus vs. Nelore) com 18 meses de idade e 380 + 24 kg de peso vivo foram utilizados em delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado, com quatro tratamentos e oito repeti es. O experimento foi desenvolvido durante 56 dias com 14 dias de adapta o. As ra es completas [volumoso (casca de algod o) + concentrado (milho, farelo de soja e resíduo desidratado de fecularia de mandioca)] foram fornecidas às 8 h e 16 h aos animais. Foi analisado o peso inicial (PI), peso final (PF) ganho médio diário (GMD), ingest o de matéria seca (IMS), convers o alimentar da matéria seca (CAMS), peso de carca a quente (PCQ), rendimento de carca a quente (RCQ), espessura de gordura de cobertura (EGC), área de olho de lombo (AOL), comprimento de perna (CP) e espessura de cox o (EC). Os resultados observados para PI, PF, GMD, CAMS, RCQ, EGC, AOL, CP e EC n o apresentaram diferen as (P > 0,05) entre os tratamentos. Os resultados obtidos para desempenho e características de carca a foram satisfatórios.
Recupera o Fecal de Indicadores Internos Avaliados em Ruminantes

Abstract: Foi determinada a recupera o fecal de quatro indicadores internos: cinza insolúvel em ácido (CIA), cinza insolúvel em detergente ácido (CIDA), fibra em detergente ácido indigestível (FDAI) e fibra em detergente neutro indigestível (FDNI) e a digestibilidade aparente da matéria seca (MS) e da matéria organica (MO). Foram utilizados quatro ovinos castrados, alimentados com quatro níveis de substitui o do milho pela farinha de varredura. As amostras dos alimentos, sobras e fezes foram incubadas in situ, durante 192 horas, em três vacas Holandesas, portadoras de canula de rúmen para determinar as fibras em detergente neutro e ácido indigestíveis. As recupera es fecais da CIA e da FDNI n o diferiram de 100% e apresentaram para os coeficientes de digestibilidade de MS e MO valores semelhantes àqueles obtidos pelo método de coleta total. A recupera o fecal da CIDA e FDAI diferiu de 100%.

Abstract: this study was conducted to evaluate productivity and morphologic traits of five hybrids of pioneer corn: p32r21, p30r07, p3041, p30f33 and p30f80 at different maturity stages. the treatments were used in plots of 7 x 8 m in a randomized block design, with four replicates. the samples collected, of corn hybrid, were adopted trying to estimate phases of maturity of the plant (30, 34, 38, 42 and 46% of dry matter [dm]). in the first maturation stage, some parameters (plant height, the ear of the corn insertion height, plant weight, stem diameter, number medium of ears of the corn) were evaluated, at harvest. for each maturation stage, was done separation of stem + sheath, leaf lamina, grain, cob and straw. the hybrid p32r21 and p3041 presented shown weight, diameter stem and plant height. dry matter (dm) yield, green material, grain, leaf lamina, and stem + sheath, expound t/ha at hybrids were different and presented significance at days after seeding (das). the increase the productivity dm verify with the advanced the maturity stage hybrids, correlations positively with increase the production grain (r2 = 64.3%). too the production dm correlations positively with concentration ear (r2 = 56.0%) and negatively (r2 = -56.7%) with the concentration stem + sheath (in relation a whole plant).
Composi??o química, fracionamento de carboidratos e proteínas e digestibilidade in vitro de forrageiras tropicais em diferentes idades de corte

Abstract: this trial was conducted with the objective of evaluating the nutritive value of three tropical forage species: tanzania grass (panicum maximum jacq.), marandu grass (brachiaria brizantha) and tifton 85 bermudagrass (cynodon spp) in two different periods of the year (january-march and april-june) and in three cutting ages (28, 35 and 42 days), based on the chemical composition, protein and carbohydrate fractions, and in vitro digestibility of dry matter (dmd) and organic matter (omd). marandu grass, in the period january-march, had the lowest cellular wall contents and b2 fraction of carbohydrates, and higher values of crude protein, a + b1 fraction, dmd and omd in comparison to tanzania grass and tifton 85 bermudagrass, regardless of the cutting age. the increase of concentration of the cell wall in detriment to the cell content as plant maturity advanced was evident in marandu grass during january-march when higher values of b2 fraction, higher content of neutral detergent fiber and lower concentrations of non fibrous carbohydrate fractions were observed. in april-june period, the cellular wall contents did not show evident differences as age increased due to environmental conditions. the tanzania grass presents, in general, lower values of the cell wall and higher values of non fibrous carbohydrate, dmd and omd during this period, followed by marandu grass and tifton 85 bermudagrass, respectively.

Abstract: fermentation kinetics and degradation rates of three tropical forage species (tanzania grass, marandu grass and tifton 85 grass) were evaluated by the in vitro gas production technique. the forages were harvested at 28, 35 and 42 days of regrowth during two periods, january-march and april-june. in the january-march period, marandu grass presented the greatest values of fraction a, potential degradability (pd) and effective degradability for a passage rate of 2 %/hour (ed2). in the april-june period, marandu and tanzania grasses presented similar results for the variables tested above. in both periods, tifton 85 had the lowest values of fraction a, pd and ed2, and the greatest value of fraction c. in the april-june period, there was an age effect in relation to gas production potential and 96 hours of incubation with the lowest value was found for 28 days of regrowth. the lowest fermentation rates were observed in general for tifton 85 grass in the april-june period, regardless of the regrowth age.

Abstract: this study was conducted to evaluate the structural component concentrations of five hybrids of pioneer corn: p32r21, p30r07, p3041, p30f33 and p30f80, at different maturity stages. the treatments were used in plots of 7 x 8 m in a randomized block design, with four replicates. the samples collected, of corn hybrid, were adopted trying to estimate phases of maturity of the plant (30, 34, 38, 42 and 46% of dry matter [dm]). for each maturation stage, was done separation of stem + sheath, leaf lamina, grain, cob and straw. after the weight and with posterior determination of dm crude, it was possible to obtain the concentrations and relations (%) of grain, cob + straw, ear of the corn, stem + sheath and leaf lamina in the whole plant of five hybrids at different maturation stage. for all the evaluated parameters, the hybrids were different and showed significant effect at days after seeding (das). it was observed that as the plant maturity stage (das) advanced, an increase of ear and grain concentration and a decrease of the structure component (leaf lamina, stem + sheath) in a dm the whole plant were observed.
Substitui??o do milho pela farinha de varredura de mandioca (Manihot esculenta Crantz) em ra??es de ovinos: consumo, digestibilidade, balan?os de nitrogênio e energia e parametros ruminais

Abstract: this work was carried-out to study the effect of substitution levels of corn (cor) by cassava by-product flour (cpf) (25, 50, 75 and 100%) in the ration for sheep on voluntary intake, nutrients apparent digestibility and nitrogen (nb) and energy (eb) balance, ph and ammonia concentration (n-nh3) in ruminal liquid. four male, castrated sheep, without defined race, with medium weight of 41.4 aw, in trial of digestibility were used, using the method of total collect feces and urine. the animals were kept in cages of metabolism in 4x4 latin square design. the ruminal liquid was obtained by means of probe esofagic in the times 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours (after feeding). there was no effect of substitution levels on intake of dry matter (dm), organic matter (om), neutral detergent fiber (ndf), energy and nitrogen (n) and for apparent digestibility of dm, om, cp, ndf, starch and gross energy (ge) and for nb and tdn levels. the intake of starch and ge presented quadratic increase until the level of 75% cpm in the ration. the concentration of the ammonia nitrogen and the ph of ruminal liquid did not differ in function of the substitution levels of the cor to cpm. it was concluded that cpm can totally substitute cor in the sheep ration.
