Abstract: The perfectly matched layer(PML) is an effective technique for truncating unbounded domains with minimal spurious reflections. A fluid parabolic equation(PE) model applying PML technique was previously used to analyze the sound propagation problem in a range-dependent waveguide(Lu and Zhu, 2007). However, Lu and Zhu only considered a standard fluid PE to demonstrate the capability of the PML and did not take improved one-way models into consideration. They applied a [1/1] Padé approximant to the parabolic equation. The higher-order PEs are more accurate than standard ones when a very large angle propagation is considered. As for range-dependent problems, the techniques to handle the vertical interface between adjacent regions are mainly energy conserving and single-scattering. In this paper, the PML technique is generalized to the higher order elastic PE, as is to the higher order fluid PE. The correction of energy conserving is used in range-dependent waveguides. Simulation is made in both acoustic cases and seismo-acoustic cases. Range-independent and range-dependent waveguides are both adopted to test the accuracy and efficiency of this method. The numerical results illustrate that a PML is much more effective than an artificial absorbing layer(ABL) both in acoustic and seismo-acoustic sound propagation modeling
Experimental Study on Ice Slurry Refrigeration System with Pre-Cooling Heat Exchanger  [PDF]

Abstract: In the present study, the ice slurry refrigeration system with pre-cooling heat exchanger (ISSH) is studied experimentally to achieve the system performance, ice crystal formation time and the temperature of ice crystal formation. The operating parameters considered in this paper include the concentration of salt solution, suction pressure, discharge pressure and Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER). The result shows that the temperature of critical time of ice crystal formation decreases with the increasing concentration of salt solution and that the ice crystal formation time increases with the increasing concentration of salt solution. In the same concentration of salt solution, the ice crystal formation temperature of ISSH is lower than that of basic ice slurry refrigeration system (BISS), and the ice crystal formation time of ISSH is shorter than that of BISS. On the whole, the EER of ice slurry refrigeration system with pre-cooling heat exchanger is higher than that of basic ice slurry refrigeration system.

Abstract: Class of 5-dimensional functions Φ was introduced and a convergent sequence determined by non-self mappings satisfying certain Φi-contractive condition was constructed, and then that the limit of the sequence is the unique com-mon fixed point of the mappings was proved. Finally, several more general forms were given. Our main results gener-alize and unify many same type fixed point theorems in references.

When to enter the first learning alliance has strategic implications for firms’ long term success. However, research on timing of the first learning alliance is rare. As one of the few empirical studies on this issue, this paper aims to fill the gap by asking what the implications are when firms launch their first learning alliance at different points of time. Empirical results support the central proposition that if firms enter the first learning alliance too early or too late, they tend to rush into a second learning alliance in a short period of time. In the long run, they will lose the ability to innovate. Overall, this study has fundamental implications for organizational learning in particular and theory building in general.

At present, the policy supervision space of domestic Investment banks’ asset management business is being opened, and the competition situation is turning from the asset management product homogenization mode to the value difference mode, and in future, three kinds of ability construction including product design, sales management investment management should be strengthened to form their core competitive advantages to fulfill the market tendency with increasing individualization, capital market integration and product configuration globalization.

Abstract: As a financing tool with the characteristics of debt, stock, and option, convertible bonds have achieved a great development in Europe. China’s convertible bonds market faces a series of problems, including public issuing, policy support for traditional industries, absence of short mechanism, and convergence of product design. China must summarize experiences from European market, apply support policies, and build a convertible market with sustainable development by means of perfecting the credit grading system, releasing the market entrance restrictions, encouraging innovations in product design and issuing ways.
An Analysis of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions by the Re-Liquefaction of Boil-Off Gas of LNG Storage Tank  [PDF]

Abstract: The pressure in liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tank continues to increase due to the heat transfer from ambient air to low temperature LNG, which raises safety concerns. Accordingly, there is increasing interest to explore the technical approaches capable of recovering Boil-Off Gas (BOG) and even eliminating the ventilation of LNG storage tank. This research numerically analyzed the greenhouse gas emissions of the re-liquefaction of BOG using the following four approaches: 1) a Claude cycle driven by electrical motor with the electricity produced by burning coal; 2) a Claude cycle driven by a gas turbine fuelled by BOG released; 3) a Claude cycle driven by a SI engine fuelled by gasoline; 4) burning nature gas directly released by BOG. The impact of heat transfer coefficient, LNG tank configuration, size, and percentage of LNG stored in tank on the rate of BOG and energy needed for the re-liquefaction of methane vapor were investigated. The greenhouse gas emissions (GGE) was examined and compared. The data presented in this paper provide guideline for the management of pressure development in LNG storage tank.

Abstract: In this paper, we will introduce a class of 5-dimensional functions Φ and prove that a family of self-mappings {Ti,j} iεN in 2-metric space have an unique common fixed point if 1) {Ti,j} iεN satisfies Φj-contractive condition, where ΦjεΦ, for each jεN ; 2) Tm,μ n,v for all m,n,μ,vεN with μ ≠ v . Our main result generalizes and unifies many known unique common fixed point theorems in 2-metric spaces.

In this paper, we introduce a class Ψ of real functions defined on the set of non-negative real numbers, and obtain a new unique common fixed point theorem for four mappings satisfying Ψ-contractive condition on a non-complete 2-metric space and give the versions of the corresponding result for two and three mappings.
