Abstract: In the present paper, we shall give an extension of the well known Pecaric-Rajic inequality in a quasi-Banach space, we establish the generalized inequality for an arbitrary number of finitely many nonzero elements of a quasi-Banach space, and obtain the corresponding upper and lower bounds. As a result, we get some more general inequalities.

Abstract: In this paper, we present an extension of the so-called classical Sherman-Morrison-Woodbury (for short SMW) formula for bounded homogeneous generalized inverse in Banach spaces. Some particular cases and applications will be also considered. Our results generalize the results of many authors for finite dimensional matrices and Hilbert space operators in the literature.

Abstract: 为了解西安黑河水利工程坝肩绿泥石片岩的力学特性,利用RMT-150C岩石力学多功能试验机,分别对干燥和饱水状态的绿泥石片岩进行三轴压缩试验.基于试验结果,比较试样在不同围压作用下的力学性质,详细讨论水对试样强度和变形特性的影响规律,重点研究峰值强度、残余强度、软化系数、峰残差、峰残强降率、弹性模量及变形模量等强度变形指标的围压效应,最后分析三轴压缩状态下岩石的破坏类型及机制.结果表明,绿泥石片岩属于水敏型岩石,水对各个强度和变形特性的影响是显著的,并随着围压呈一定规律的变化.

Abstract: The landslide with locked flank in plane rotation is progressively formed while the slope rock mass shows an asymmetrical rotation revolving round on the axis perpendicular to the latent sliding plane. Its displacement mode may be generalized as a cantilever under both the well-distributed horizon load and the vertical compression. For the cantilever with a fracture situated on the locked later section where the maximum tensile stress appears, the elastic deflection-load equation is established by using Rayleigh-Ritz energy method. Then, the fracture criterion of the stress intensity factor is used to determine the critical load, and consequently the analytical formula of stability factor for the landslide is derived. In addition, a typical landslide is illustrated as an example of the use of above formula. Thus, the dynamics mechanism for the landslide is demonstrated theoretically.
Electromagnetically induced transparency in an inverted Y-type four-level system

Abstract: The interaction of a weak probe laser with an inverted-Y type four-level atomic system driven by two additional coherent fields is investigated theoretically. Under the influence of the coherent coupling fields, the steady-state linear susceptibility of the probe laser shows that the system can have single or double electromagnetically induced transparency windows depending on the amplitude and the detuning of the coupling lasers. The corresponding index of refraction associated with the group velocity of the probe laser can be controlled at both transparency windows by the coupling fields. The propagation of the probe field can be switched from superluminal near the resonance to subluminal on resonance within the single transparency window when two coupling lasers are on resonance. This provides a potential application in quantum information processing. We propose an atomic $^{87}Rb$ system for experimental observation.
Control of spontaneous emission of an inverted Y-type atomic system coupled by three coherent fields

Abstract: We investigate the spontaneous emission from an inverted Y-type atomic system coupled by three coherent fields. We use the Schr\"{o}dinger equation to calculate the probability amplitudes of the wave function of the system and derive an analytical expression of the spontaneous emission spectrum to trace the origin of the spectral features. Quantum interference effects, such as the spectral line narrowing, spectrum splitting and dark resonance are observed. The number of spectral components, the spectral linewidth, and relative heights can be very different depending on the physical parameters. A variety of spontaneous emission spectral features can be controlled by the amplitudes of the coupling fields and the preparation of the initial quantum state of the atom. We propose an ultracold atomic $^{87}Rb$ system for experimental observation.

Abstract: 通过降雨诱发土质边坡失稳的模型试验及已有研究成果来探讨降雨特性对边坡失稳的影响,并以此来选取出合适的雨量预警参数.研究结果表明:高强度降雨较易使边坡产生流滑破坏且冲蚀现象较为明显;而低雨强长历时的降雨较易使边坡深层土体的孔隙水压力增加,因此较易产生滑动型破坏且滑坡体的规模也较大;此外,降雨型滑坡存在"门槛累积雨量".该研究成果揭示了降雨入渗对边坡稳定性的作用机制,并以此建议采用降雨强度与累积雨量作为雨量预警基准所需的参数,其中降雨强度参数可用时雨量表示,时雨量可用以衡量流滑型滑坡和泥石流灾害,而累积雨量则有助于评估滑动型滑坡的灾害.

Abstract: 西安地裂缝是一种特殊的城市地质灾害,地铁隧道穿越地裂缝带时必须分段设特殊变形缝。以西安地铁隧道正交穿越地裂缝带为工程背景,采用几何比1∶5的大比例尺模型试验,研究分段设缝柔性接头隧道穿越地裂缝带的适应性。试验结果表明:地裂缝活动环境下隧道设置特殊变形缝的柔性接头避免了衬砌结构应力集中,对结构起到保护作用,分段柔性接头隧道具有较强的适应地裂缝大变形的能力。设置与地裂缝倾角一致的斜变形缝对围岩压力与位移有一定影响,而对衬砌结构安全性影响较小。正交条件下斜变形缝能消耗20%以上的地裂缝位移量,在地裂缝影响区隧道可通过多段设变形缝串联的方式最大限度地消除地裂缝大变形对隧道的影响。接头处顶底部止水带基本完好,而两侧止水带因地裂缝垂直位移作用出现撕裂现象,防水设计应重点考虑接头两侧壁的防水。研究结果可为地裂缝活动环境下地铁隧道结构与防水设计提供重要参考。

Abstract: 运用断裂力学和弹性力学的原理和方法,提出并分析了逆向层状岩体斜坡锁固段突然剪断时出现的"临床弹冲-峰残强降"复合加速动力学效应,推导出二维应力状态下高速岩质滑坡启程速度计算公式.这从理论上定量地论证了具有实际意义的滑坡动力学新机理.
Experimental Study on Vibration Control of Offshore Wind Turbines Using a Ball Vibration Absorber  [PDF]

Abstract: To minimize the excessive vibration and prolong the fatigue life of the offshore wind turbine systems, it is of value to control the vibration that is induced within the structure by implementing certain kinds of dampers. In this paper, a ball vibration absorber (BVA) is experimentally investigated through a series of shake table tests on a 1/13 scaled wind turbine model. The reductions in top displacement, top acceleration, bottom stress and platform stress of the wind turbine tower system subjected to earthquakes and equivalent wind-wave loads, respectively, with a ball absorber are examined. Cases of the tower with rotating blades are also investigated to validate the efficacy of this damper in mitigating the vibration of an operating wind turbine. The experimental results indicate that the dynamic performance of the tested wind turbine model with a ball absorber is significantly improved compared with that of the uncontrolled structure in terms of the peak response reduction.
