Speaker Independent Continuous Speech to Text Converter for Mobile Application
R. Sandanalakshmi,P. Abinaya Viji,M. Kiruthiga,M. Manjari,M. Sharina
Computer Science , 2013,
Abstract: An efficient speech to text converter for mobile application is presented in this work. The prime motive is to formulate a system which would give optimum performance in terms of complexity, accuracy, delay and memory requirements for mobile environment. The speech to text converter consists of two stages namely front-end analysis and pattern recognition. The front end analysis involves preprocessing and feature extraction. The traditional voice activity detection algorithms which track only energy cannot successfully identify potential speech from input because the unwanted part of the speech also has some energy and appears to be speech. In the proposed system, VAD that calculates energy of high frequency part separately as zero crossing rate to differentiate noise from speech is used. Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) is used as feature extraction method and Generalized Regression Neural Network is used as recognizer. MFCC provides low word error rate and better feature extraction. Neural Network improves the accuracy. Thus a small database containing all possible syllable pronunciation of the user is sufficient to give recognition accuracy closer to 100%. Thus the proposed technique entertains realization of real time speaker independent applications like mobile phones, PDAs etc.

Egyptian Journal of Biology , 2012,
Abstract: The Striped catfish Pangasianodon hypophthalmus has increasing importance as a candidate for aquaculture in India. It is an abundant and underutilized resource that can be used as a unique protein source to make Fish Protein Hydrolysates. The objective of the present study was to prepare protein hydrolysates from its frame meat using the neutral proteases Papain and Bromelain at 0.5% (w/w) concentration to compare the composition, functional and antioxidative properties. The yield and degree of hydrolysis did not differ significantly between the two proteases. Hydrolysate prepared with papain had a higher crude protein and ash content. They differed significantly in foaming, emulsification and peptide solubility, with papain better in foaming capacity and peptide solubility, and bromelain better in emulsification capacity. Both exhibited almost 90% radical scavenging capacity, and differed significantly in reducing capacity. Thus hydrolysates produced with these proteases vary in their nutritional, functional and antioxidant characteristics.

Abstract: In India the enrolment rate in elementary education is higher but dropout rate is increased from 1st standard to higher education. So the government should take more steps and techniques to reduce the Dropout rate and compared the V standard strength an V1 standard enrolment than another comparison also done by the government that is higher secondary strength is compared to arts and science and engineering colleges enrolment rate through this way slowly improved the enrolment rate of higher education in India. Finally Indian government beat USA and China. India gets the first place in higher education

Abstract: An educated mother faces higher opportunity cost of time spent caring for the children. She has greater value outside the house and thus has an entirely different set of choices than she would have without education. She is married at a later age and is better able to influence family decisions. She has fewer, healthier children and can insist on the development of all of them, ensuring that her daughters are given a fair chance and the education of her daughters makes it much more likely that the next generation of girls, as well as boys, will be educated and healthy as well the vicious cycle is thus transformed into a virtuous circle.

Bonfring International Journal of Advances in Image Processing , 2011, DOI: 10.9756/bijaip.1003
Abstract: A technique which enables to have a secret communication in modern technology using public channel is known as steganography This paper deals with constructing and implementing new algorithm based on hiding a large amount of payloads (image, audio, text) file into color image. We have been used adaptive image filtering and adaptive image segmentation with bits replacement on the appropriate pixels. The information has to be hidden in the LSB of the cover image,so there is no much chances present in the embedded image.High security layers have been proposed through three layers to make it difficult to break through the encryption of the input data and confuse steganalysis too. We show that our algorithm can embed efficiently a large amount of data that has been reached to 90% of the image size with high quality of the output. . It is observed that the proposed algorithm has excellent PSNR, provides high level security and more robust compared to individual transform techniques.

Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/am.2012.39160
Abstract: A mathematical modeling of tumor therapy with oncolytic viruses is discussed. The model consists of two coupled, deterministic differential equations allowing for cell reproduction and death, and cell infection. The model is one of the conceptual mathematical models of tumor growth that treat a tumor as a dynamic society of interacting cells. In this paper, we obtain an approximate analytical expression of uninfected and infected cell population by solving the non-linear equations using Homotopy analysis method (HAM). Furthermore, the results are compared with the numerical simulation of the problem using Matlab program. The obtained results are valid for the whole solution domain.

Abstract: This study examines the role of s-nitrosylation in the growth of ovarian cancer using cell culture based and in vivo approaches. Using the nitrosylating agent, S-nitrosoglutathione (GSNO), a physiological nitric oxide molecule, we show that GSNO treatment inhibited proliferation of chemoresponsive and chemoresistant ovarian cancer cell lines (A2780, C200, SKVO3, ID8, OVCAR3, OVCAR4, OVCAR5, OVCAR7, OVCAR8, OVCAR10, PE01 and PE04) in a dose dependent manner. GSNO treatment abrogated growth factor (HB-EGF) induced signal transduction including phosphorylation of Akt, p42/44 and STAT3, which are known to play critical roles in ovarian cancer growth and progression. To examine the therapeutic potential of GSNO in vivo, nude mice bearing intra-peritoneal xenografts of human A2780 ovarian carcinoma cell line (2×106) were orally administered GSNO at the dose of 1 mg/kg body weight. Daily oral administration of GSNO significantly attenuated tumor mass (p<0.001) in the peritoneal cavity compared to vehicle (phosphate buffered saline) treated group at 4 weeks. GSNO also potentiated cisplatin mediated tumor toxicity in an A2780 ovarian carcinoma nude mouse model. GSNO’s nitrosylating ability was reflected in the induced nitrosylation of various known proteins including NFκB p65, Akt and EGFR. As a novel finding, we observed that GSNO also induced nitrosylation with inverse relationship at tyrosine 705 phosphorylation of STAT3, an established player in chemoresistance and cell proliferation in ovarian cancer and in cancer in general. Overall, our study underlines the significance of S-nitrosylation of key cancer promoting proteins in modulating ovarian cancer and proposes the therapeutic potential of nitrosylating agents (like GSNO) for the treatment of ovarian cancer alone or in combination with chemotherapeutic drugs.

Mathematics , 2011,
Abstract: Bazzoni and Glaz conjecture that the weak global dimension of a Gaussian ring is 0,1 or \infty. In this paper, we prove their conjecture in all cases except when R is a non-reduced local Gaussian ring with nilradical $\mathcal{N} satisfying $\mathcal{N}^2=0$.
