Multifuncionalidad agraria y territorio: Algunas reflexiones y propuestas de análisis
Silva Pérez,Rocío;
EURE (Santiago) , 2010, DOI: 10.4067/S0250-71612010000300001
Abstract: applying the concept of sustainability to agriculture entails the recognition that, apart from the production function, it has other roles (environmental, social, cultural) closely linked to its territorial substratum that are in ever greater demand. this is expressly embraced by the notion of agricultural multifunctionality and is understood as such from other conceptual and regulatory frameworks which had hitherto had no connection with the sector, but which are showing more and more interest in agricultural areas as territorial structures, repositaries of cultural heritage- and landscape-related resources. notwithstanding, the way that they understand territory is quite different, their analytical scales extremely disparate, and their implications for regulation -some sectoral, some territorial- contradictory and redundant. the present article approaches multifunctionality from the angle and the problems of territory, investigating any links there might be between the two. for this, it spotlights the current state of affairs and the regulatory treatment that territory deserves from these perspectives, and concludes with a methodological proposal underpinned by integrated territorial development approaches.

LONDO?O PéREZ,CONSTANZA;
Acta Colombiana de Psicología , 2009,
Abstract: the aim of this research was to identify the role of optimism and positive health as predictors of the adjustment level of youth who started at university. the sample was formed by 77 students of both genders who entered their first semester of psychology on the first academic term of 2005, on the day shift, at a private university. their ages ranged between 17 and 26 years. the instruments used were the vital orientation test - vot, the optimism scale by seligman, the positive mental health questionnaire, the general satisfaction scale and a registration form for academic information. these instruments were administered at two instances: the first one, at the students' entrance; and the second, two years later. a multivariate statistical analysis was carried out in order to determine the predictive level of each one of the variables and their interactions in terms of the students' adjustment. results show that optimism determines not only permanence but also predicts cancellation and repetition of courses, both regarded as risk signals for desertion.

Maussa Pérez,Fausto O.;

Abstract: nearby 11.000 entrerprises were eliminated, country-wide in the first four years of the decade of 1990. this article seeks to establish, through a qualitative study that uses method of case that there are alternatives to companies emerging from the liquidation or restructuring process. this would be the self-management model. also we describe a case showing the main cultural, administrative and management characteristics, which the self-managed organizations have. from this diagnosis of the essential elements of these companies, several cases of study were characterized: cales y derivados de la sierra s.a. caldesa; laminados y derivados, layder, (whose case is presented in the article); minera las brisas; cooperativa los guaduales, in antioquia; artgrancol and calzado la corona, in bogota. the creation of the companies, self-managed by the workers, constitutes an opportunity for the conservation of productive units, which contribute to improve the quality of life of the workers and their families.
