Life Insurance - Their Characteristics Importance and Actuality On The Romanian Market
Oana Claudia Ionescu
Journal of Knowledge Management, Economics and Information Technology , 2012,
Abstract: For the twenty-first century life, there cannot be a real, long-term and sustained progress, without insurance. Let’s only consider the avalanche of natural disasters and acts of terrorism in recent years that have affected many parts of the world, brought suffering to millions of people and caused huge economic losses. The common knowledge that a country’s economic strength lays in bankingand insurance needs no arguments. It is not accidental that the most stable economies, where even population’s prosperity is remarkable, are found in countries where insurance is well represented in economic life. In a modern economy, insurances play an important role due to its contribution to financial stability, by promoting effective control of various risk categories and mobilizing people’s savings. This paper plans to identify the main characteristics, trends and developments of life insurance products and their market, as well as the interactions between the insurance sector, banks and financial markets and to highlight some of the determinants of insurance demand. Also, another topic addressed is the current economic context, and the effects of inflation and economic recession on this sector. Finally, this paper contains a short observation of the evolution of this particular market, striving to make a “prediction” of the immediate prospects of this activity.
RESEARCHES REGARDING NICOTHYN ACCUMULATING IN THE ORGANS OF TWO NICOTIANA TABACUM CULTIVARS
A. IONESCU,I. BURZO,OANA IONESCU
Scientific Annals of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi. New Series, Section 2. Vegetal Biology , 2009,
Abstract: Researches using species of Nicotiana tabacum L. Virginia type: Virginia 180 and Virginia 196 showed the following variation of nicotine content in the organs of these plants. Nicotine content in the roots varied during vegetation period between 0.55% and 0.86% for Virginia 180 cultivar and between 0.50 and 0.86 for Virginia 196. In the stem it was determined a few increased concentration of nicotine, varying between 0.21% and 2.53% for Virginia 180 cultivar and between 0.55 and 1.16 for Virginia 196 cultivar. Leaves, representing the depositing organs for these substances, contained between 2.92% and 4.80% nicotine. The medium value of the nicotine content from leaves, determined during vegetation period, presented small differences for the two cultivars: 3.73% for Virginia 180 cultivar and 4.10 for Virginia 196. The nicotine content from flowers was rather low and varied between 1.55 and 2.55%.
VARIANCE OF THE MINERAL CONTENT FROM DIFFERENT ORGANS OF TWO PISUM SATIVUM CULTIVARS
OANA IONESCU,I. BURZO,N. ATANASIU,A. IONESCU
Scientific Annals of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi. New Series, Section 2. Vegetal Biology , 2009,
Abstract: The paper presents the content in mineral elements from the organs of two Pisum sativum cultivars namely: Gerola and Oregon Sugar Pod. The Oregon Sugar Pod is a west European cultivar little known in Romania characterized by a large vigor it can reach 150 cm height and by the fact that the edible organs are represented by pods. Determinations were made during flowery time, the analysed organs being the root, the stem, leaves from the superior half of the plant, basal leaves, flowers and edible organs. The content of mineral elements was determined in a larger amount in the Gerola cultivar. Analysis of mineral substances from the plant organs marked out a larger content in the roots (22,57% ), and the minimal quantity was found in the edible organs (7,89%). Analysis of mineral elements was made with an inductively coupled plasma spectrometer. Among the mineral elements, there has been determined the potassium percentage, which content varied between 632,95 mg./100g of dry substance in the seeds and 76,07 mg. /100g in the roots, calcium percentage that varied between 584,96 mg/100g in the basal leaves and 65,85 mg./100g in the pods, and magnesium percentage that varied between 374,52 mg. in the seeds and 26,16 mg. in the stem.
Study of the combined effect of spices and marination on beef meat vacuum packaged
DANIELA ISTRATI,OANA CONSTANTIN,AURELIA IONESCU,CAMELIA VIZIREANU
Annals of the University Dunarea de Jos of Galati. Fascicle VI : Food Technology , 2011,
Abstract: Fresh beef slices were marinated by immersion in marinades based on dry red wine, lime-tree honey, salt, spices and seasoning plants as thyme (Thymus vulgaris), marjoram (Majorana hortensis), garlic (Allium sativum) and horseradish (Armoracia rusticana). Control samples were represented by raw meat without marination treatment but stored in the same conditions as marinated samples. After marination, meat pieces were packed under vacuum and stored at refrigeration temperature of 4°C for 12 days. The influence of the combined effect of spices and marination on beef stability was evaluated by monitoring pH evolution, degree of lipid oxidation and by microbiological analysis. For control samples, a mean increase of 0.47 log CFU/g of total mesophilic aerobic bacteria was observed during the 48 h of storage, but for the samples marinated with the addition of spices was observed a decrease of 0.57 log CFU/g. The growth of LAB in control samples was generally limited and did not exceed 5 log CFU/g. During storage at 4°C, marination with the addition in the base marinade (wine, honey, garlic, pepper and salt) of thyme, marjoram and horseradish separately inhibited the growth of LAB while marination with the addition in the base marinade of thyme, marjoram and horseradish together resulted in significantly lower levels of LAB. All marination treatments resulted in significantly lower TBA and POV values at the end of storage compared to the control. Marination with dry red wine, lime-tree honey, thyme marjoram, garlic, and horseradish can evidently control total mesophilic aerobic bacteria, lactic acid bacteria and oxidation of beef meat.
A Study of the p-Adic Frobenius Lifts and p-Adic Periods, from a Deformation Theory Viewpoint  [PDF]
Lucian M. Ionescu
Advances in Pure Mathematics (APM) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/apm.2018.84023
Abstract: A canonical p-adic Frobenius lift is defined in the context of p-adic numbers, viewed as deformations of the corresponding finite field. Applications to p-adic periods are considered, including to the classical Euler gamma and beta functions and their p-adic analogues, from a cohomological point of view. Connections between various methods for computing scattering amplitudes are related to the moduli space problem and period domains.
Origen del Tango
Andrei Ionescu

His work stands as testimony for an internal kneading of a man with distinguished moral and professional carriage which wholly understood the fate of an intellectual, being in society service and trying to correct its excesses, to find solutions to the problems that society encounters.
Contributions to the Legislative Provisions Governing the Management of Waste Containing Asbestos in Romania and EU
Silvian IONESCU
Theoretical and Applied Economics , 2011,
Abstract: One of the most stringent worldwide environmental problems is represented, in this moment, of the waste management. Generate increasing amounts of waste creates problems, ultimately, to the state authorities, their management and recovery technologies becoming an important area of research. Recovery and recycling, whatever their nature, are one of the priority activities for the global economy.
Accountancy Against Financial Engineering Challenges
Cicilia Ionescu
Theoretical and Applied Economics , 2006,
Abstract: The world we are living in is the one of economies’ universalization, and especially, of financial markets’ globalization. The abolition of economic borders for different countries has also implications in the monitorization of companies’ businesses with the help of accounting. Yet, the information regarding companies’ performances determinate a higher concern. This is the reason for which the accounting normalizators were permanently concerned in finding reliable models of reflecting this. In spite, there are instruments and techniques (accounting engineering) which distort the companies’ results.
