Technological optimization of temperature efficiency of heat recoverers with intremediate heat carrier

Abstract: In the paper the padding investment costs and decrease of the consumption on a thermal energy are reviewed at salvaging a heat of exhausting air under the scheme with intermediate heat carrier in systems of mechanical ventilation. The nature of relation of the data of costs from a factor of temperature efficiency of heat recoverer is parsed. The expression for optimum temperature efficiency is offered by minimization of cumulative discounted costs during given computational term. The analysis of the obtained outcomes is given and the nature of their change at different parameters of an outside climate, and also operational price level on the equipment and fares on power supplies also is justified. The comparison of conclusions of the investigation to the data of the previous author’s researches is conducted. The presentation is illustrated graphically and by an example of numerical calculation
Determining the optimal costs on engineering equipment control systems for smart house

Abstract: In the paper some candidate solutions of a problem of a decrease of energy consumption in civil buildings were reviewed. The features of implementation of measures on the engineering equipment for smart house were shown. The basic constituents of the working costs were submitted at operation of such object. The dependence of costs change on the depth of engineering measures implementation was investigated. The economically optimum degree of building equipping according to criterion of cumulative discounted costs minimization was detected. The presentation is illustrated by graphic examples and numerical examples of calculations.
Research of adjustable parameters in the automated climatic systems at the aim of energy saving

Abstract: In modern conditions the special attention should be given to the automated climatic systems with a view of energy saving. In this work processes of non-stationary heat exchange in the room served by automated climatic systems are considered. Modern methods of calculation of a thermal mode of a room are stated. The interrelation between separate parameters of thermal stability of a room and automatic control of microclimate providing systems is investigated. Expression for calculation of controller gain is received. The end result is defined on the basis of receiving the approximate technique, allowing estimating the influence of a controller operating mode on total energy consumption by microclimate providing systems. This technique has a quite simple appearance and at further development allows development of engineering recommendations about the selection of optimum option of a controller operating mode for the engineering equipment. The statement is illustrated with numerical calculations by means of the created computer program and graphic examples.

Abstract: In the paper the estimation of energy consumption of the automated ventilating systems and air conditionings (V and AC) under condition of their regulation "on deviation" is reviewed.The analysis of processes descending in V and AC and maintained room is given. The outcomes of numerical calculation of a non-steady thermal mode of a room with the computer program designed by authors are adduced. Calculations were organized on different combinations of radiant and convective components of variable heat ingress.The optimal control algorithm of V and AC from the point of view of minimal general energy consumption during the heating system is found. The presentation is illustrated by a graphic stuff and by a numerical example of technical and economical estimation of optimal control algorithm using.

Influencing of orientation of glazed facades on general energy consumption of residential buildings

Abstract: In the paper the nature of relation of energy consumption of residential buildings of mass development from orientation of their glazed facades on the parties of horizon is parsed. The basic contents of a technique of an estimation of building energy efficiency, used in calculations, is adduced pursuant to the public Standard of Russian Science and Technical Society of the Builders of Russian Federation. The structure of a complex of energy saving measures, used in investigated buildings, is reviewed. The computed results of power inputs for the heating season on the indicated technique for two reference buildings at their different orientation with allowance for and disregarding of energy saving measures are shown. An estimation of influencing of orientation of glazed facades for the term of payback of a complex of energy saving measures, used in buildings, is given. The guidelines on expedient dimensional orientation of the extended residential buildings from the point of view of heat saving in the cold season of year are offered. The presentation is illustrated by a significant amount of a graphic stuff.

Abstract: Following the need for the use of environmentally friendly, renewable resource in industrial processes, this work explores the potential of an effective application in pilot scale of Afzelia bella seed as a coag-flocculant. The study evaluates the coag-flocculation efficiency and functional kinetic parameter response to varying pH and dosage of coal washery effluent and ABC respectively. The maximum coag-flocculation performance is recorded at rate constant, K of 3.3333 x 10-3m3/kg.s, dosage of (0.3 and 0.2kg/m3); pH of 2 and coagulation period, τ1/2of 28.1216 s while the minimum is recorded at K of 1.6667 x 10-4m3/kg.s, dosage of 0.2kg/m3, pH of 10 and τ1/2 of 562.365 s. The least value of coag-flocculation efficiency, E (%)>89.00. Simulated and unsimulated values of rate constants Ks and K respectively are in close agreement, validating the concept of perikinetics. The potential of ABC as an effective organic coag-flocculant has been established. The results confirm that theory of rapid coagflocculation holds for the aggregation of coal washery effluent using ABC and at the conditions of the experiment.

Abstract: This work investigates the influence of pH variation on coag-flocculation kinetics and performance of Chitin Derived Coag-flocculant (CDC) in removal of Suspended and Dissolved Particles (SDP) from Coal washery effluent (CWE) medium. Key parameters such as rate constant Km, half life t1/2,, and pH etc. were investigated. The best coag-flocculation performance is recorded at Km, of 0.007 l/mg.min, t1/2, of 0.0362min, pH of 8, dosage of 100mg/l and efficiency E(%) of 99.933. Minimum efficiency (%) > 94.00 was achieved at 30 minutes of coagflocculation, establishing CDC as an effective water treatment agent at the conditions of the experiment.

Abstract: The coag-flocculation performance of Mucuna Seed Coagulant as affected by pH variation in coal washery effluent has been investigated at room temperature using various dosages of unblended Mucuna Seed Coagulant. In addition, coag-flocculation parameters such as Coagflocculation reaction order α, αth order coag-flocculation constant K, Collision factor for Brownian Transport βBr, Smoluchowski constant KR,, Collision Efficiency εp, and Coagulation Period τ1/2 were determined. Turbidity measurement was employed using the nephelometric (turbidimetric) standard method while Mucuna Seed Coagulant preparation was adopted from the works of Adebowale and Adebowale (2007). The maximum Mucuna Seed Coagulant parameter performance is recorded at α of 2, K of 8.3334 x 10-3 m3/kg.s, dosages of (0.15 kg/m3; 0.2 kg/m3 ; 0.25 kg/m3); pH of 6 and τ1/2 of 1.7339 sec while the minimum parametric performance is recorded at α of 1; K of 6.3001 x 10-4 s-1; dosage of 0.2kg/m3; pH of 8 and τ1/2 of 1100.2161seconds. The minimum value of coag-flocculation efficiency E (%) recorded is greater than 88.00 %. Conclusively; Mucuna Seed Coagulant is an effective coagulant obeying the theory of fast coagulation at the conditions of the experiment.
