Indetermina??o e estabilidade: os 20 anos da Constitui??o Federal e as tarefas da pesquisa em direito
Nobre, Marcos;
Novos Estudos - CEBRAP , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-33002008000300005
Abstract: the constitutional process was characterized by novelties such as an intense participation of the civil society and the inexistence of a hegemonic block. that's the origin of the broad and detailed character of the constitutional text. but it was this "contradictory" aspect that allowed it to be vindicated by different groups and movements. and it was this that built its legitimacy and its vitality.
O filósofo municipal, a Setzung e uma nova coaliz?o lógico-ontológica
Nobre, Marcos;
Novos Estudos - CEBRAP , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-33002011000200004
Abstract: the article offers a critical overview of brazilian philosopher josé arthur giannotti's intellectual trajectory up to li??es de filosofia primeira (lessons on first philosophy, 2011), and attempts to show that, by giving up on the logic of setzung and on the project of formulating a theory of "socially necessary illusions", giannotti cannot find any longer the grounds for critique, a result of the abandonment of a theoretical force field built around kant and hegel for a different one, centered around wittgenstein and heidegger.

Nobre, Marcos;
Lua Nova: Revista de Cultura e Política , 1999, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-64451999000200008
Abstract: the political project of the institutionalization of the environmental question is reconstructed against the background of the rio-92 conference. the negotiations towards that institutionalization are examined and the idea of sustained development is analysed from this angle.
Leitura crítica da história: reflex?es sobre a história da matemática
Nobre, Sergio;
Ciência & Educa??o (Bauru) , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S1516-73132004000300015
Abstract: many elements that supply information for the writing of history include directives, which are representative of a specific form of thought - be they of a social, political or philosophical stamp. these elements are elaborated upon in order to present a specific view of history. the objective of the present text is, through some examples, to discuss the fact that there are different forms of analysis of the elements that supply us historical information, with emphasis on the history of science, specifically the history of mathematics. the more information we have about any given historical events, the better able we are to make historical connections among them, on a qualitative basis, that supports the acquired information. if this information is scarce, or comes from doubtful sources, the historical conclusions about the subject under consideration will be fragile and susceptible to different and,frequently, conflicting interpretations. the present text intends to present some historical examples in which, due to a lack of information, or to distorted information, the historical interpretation is subject to differing interpretations.

Brand Relationships: A Personality-Based Approach  [PDF]
Helena M. Nobre, Kip Becker, Carlos Brito
Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) , 2010, DOI: 10.4236/jssm.2010.32026
Abstract: The authors investigated the relationship between brand personality and brand relationships. The conceptual model was based on the hypothesis that brand personality may nurture specific consumer-brand relationships and that these relationships may influence the quality of the ties that consumers develop with brands. An instrument from intimate interpersonal relationships was used to measure consumer-brand relationships. An SEM analysis conducted on a sample of 733 consumer-brand relationships, involving nine highly known brands of different product categories, gave support to the theory. The research offers two significant contributions by: 1) Emphasizing the role of consumer-brand relationship in understanding multi-brand, symbolic consumption and 2) Offering a holistic perspective in the understanding of brand personality.
O balan?o de carbono da Amaz?nia brasileira
Nobre, Carlos A.;Nobre, Ant?nio D.;
Estudos Avan?ados , 2002, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-40142002000200006
Abstract: globally, the terrestrial biota acts as a significant carbon sink for atmospheric carbon dioxide (co2). the most recent estimate from ipcc for the 1990's puts the terrestrial biota at a net sink of 1.4 gigaton of carbon per year (net carbon uptake by the biota minus emissions from land use changes). it is likely that most of this presumed sink takes place in mid-latitude and tropical forests. carbon cycle studies in the lba experiment indicate that the undisturbed forest of amazonia may be a strong sink of carbon, at rates from 1 to 7 tons per hectare per year, whereas the wetlands may act as a source of carbon into the atmosphere of up to 1.2 ton per hectare per year. deforestation and biomass burning in brazilian amazonia alone account for a net carbon dioxide emission of about 0,2 gigaton of carbon per year. notwithstanding the still large uncertainties of these estimates, the balance of observational evidence points to the possibility that the tropical forests of south america function as a sink of carbon from the atmosphere.
Sinostose radiocubital bilateral congénita e agenesia congénita do músculo depressor do angulo da boca
Nobre,Susana; Campos,Joana;
Nascer e Crescer - Revista do Hospital de Crian?as Maria Pia , 2011,
Abstract: introduction: congenital radiocubital synostosis (crs) is a rare deformity characterized by a merger between radius and cubit, resulting in a ?xed position of the forearm, which may limit the performance of simple daily activities. this condition can be associated with other malformations or genetic syndromes. congenital agenesis of depressor anguli oris muscle is also a rare condition and may also be associated with other malfor-mations. case report: the authors describe the case of a seven year-old girl with bilateral crs and congenital agenesis of left depressor anguli oris muscle. the rarity of these entities and of their association prompted the authors to report this case. conclusion: paediatricians and orthopaedists should be aware of the need of investigation genetic syndrome association, other organ anomalies and inheritance pattern.
Compara??o dos exercícios em cadeia cinética aberta e cadeia cinética fechada na reabilita??o da disfun??o femoropatelar
Nobre, Thatiana Lacerda;

Abstract: introduction: the patellofemoral syndrome (dfp) is a disease characterized by pain in the patellofemoral and physical changes resulting from this joint biomechanics. the rate of incidence is high, representing a common complaint in about 20% of the population. its etiology remains unknown. objective: this literature review aims to compare the effectiveness of open kinetic chain exercises with closed kinetic chain into the functional recovery of patients with the patellofemoral syndrome. methods: we conducted a systematic review in the database lilacs, medline, pubmed and scielo as search term words patellofemoral syndrome, open kinetic chain and closed kinetic chain. discussion: the imbalance of forces of the dynamic stabilizers of the patella, vastus medialis oblique (vmo) and vastus lateralis (vl), is still considered the primary factor for the onset of symptoms. since this change causes an increase in reaction force and patellofemoral compression. in order to recover the balance of forces of the muscles acting as stabilizers of the knee and as a means of restoring stability to the joint, exercises in open kinetic chain (okc) and closed kinetic chain (ckc) has been used in rehabilitation programs patellofemoral disorders. conclusion: the benefits for implementing these protocols are not well documented, lacking scientific evidence to prove the real effectiveness of these exercises in improving the performance of the quadriceps muscle or assist in muscle balance of the dynamic stabilizers of the patella.
Weber e o desencantamento do mundo: uma interlocu??o com o pensamento de Nietzsche
Nobre, Renarde Freire;
Dados , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0011-52582006000300003
Abstract: this article conducts a theoretical confrontation between the thinking of max weber and that of friedrich nietzsche concerning the modern western world, based on the notions of "death of god" and "disenchantment of the world". the article explores the affinities and differences between the two thinkers, especially from the angle of weber?s diagnosis of the "culture of technique" and its inexorable effects on subjectivity. the paper?s underlying hypothesis is that despite the parallels that can (and should) be drawn between the two, what prevails is an insurmountable distance, especially by the recognition of the powers of reason and the vision of a cultural world edified under the command of conscious orientations.
