An Improved Structure Of Reversible Adder And Subtractor

Abstract: In today's world everyday a new technology which is faster, smaller and more complex than its predecessor is being developed. The increased number of transistors packed onto a chip of a conventional system results in increased power consumption that is why Reversible logic has drawn attention of Researchers due to its less heat dissipating characteristics. Reversible logic can be imposed over applications such as quantum computing, optical computing, quantum dot cellular automata, low power VLSI circuits, DNA computing. This paper presents the reversible combinational circuit of adder, subtractor and parity preserving subtractor. The suggested circuit in this paper are designed using Feynman, Double Feynman and MUX gates which are better than the existing one in literature in terms of Quantum cost, Garbage output and Total logical calculations.
On Asymptotic Analysis of Packet and Wormhole Switched Routing Algorithm for Application-Specific Networks-on-Chip

Abstract: The application of the multistage interconnection networks (MINs) in systems-on-chip (SoC) and networks-on-chip (NoC) is hottest since year 2002. Nevertheless, nobody used them practically for parallel communication. However, to overcome all the previous problems, a new method is proposed that uses MIN to provide intra-(global) communication among application-specific NoCs in networks-in-package (NiP). For this, four fault-tolerant parallel algorithms are proposed. It allows different NoCs to communicate in parallel using either fault-tolerant irregular Penta multistage interconnection network (PNN) or fault-tolerant regular Hexa multistage interconnection network (HXN). These two are acting as an interconnects-on-chip (IoC) in NiP. Both IoC use packet switching and wormhole switching to route packets from source NoC to destination NoC. The results are compared in terms of packet losses and wormhole switching which comes out to be better than packet switching. The comparison of IoC on cost and MTTR concluded that the HXN has the higher cost than the PNN, but MTTR values of the HXN are low in comparison to the PNN. This signifies that the ability to tolerate faults and online repairing of the HXN is higher and faster than the PNN.

Abstract: This paper presents, Application of Gur Game Based Algorithm on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) deployed to monitor Homogenous and Heterogeneous Grid in order to achieve Quality of Service (QoS) = 0.40 and 0.50. Further, the objectives of all these algorithms are to maximize the coverage of the sensor area while conserving energy consumed by sensor nodes. This is achieved via carefully activating/deactivating the sensors while maximizing the coverage area.

Abstract: A novel four-input three-output voltage-mode differential difference current conveyor (DDCC) based universal filter is presented. The circuit uses three DDCCs as active elements, two resistors and two capacitors as passive elements. The circuit along with its versatility enjoys the advantage of minimum number of passive elements employment. SPICE simulation results are given to confirm the theoretical analysis. The proposed circuit is a novel addition to the existing knowledge on the subject.
Development of a Methodology to Evaluate Projects Using Dynamic Traffic Assignment Models  [PDF]

Abstract: The identification and selection of performance measures play an important role in any decision making process. Additionally, millions of dollars are spent on appropriate planning and identification of prospective projects for improvements. As a result, current practitioners spend a lot of time and money in prioritizing their limited resources. This research proposes two tasks: 1) estimation of performance measures using a simulation based on dynamic traffic assignment model, and 2) development of a methodology to evaluate multiple projects based on benefit-cost analysis. The model, DynusT, is used for the Las Vegas roadway network during the morning peak time period. A comparative analysis of the results from proposed methodology with existing California Benefit-Cost (Cal-B/C) models is presented. The results indicate that the new methodology provides an accurate benefit-cost ratio of the projects. In addition, it signifies that the existing Cal-B/C models underestimate the benefits associated with the prospective project improvements. The major contribution of this research is the simultaneous estimation of the performance measures and development of a methodology to evaluate multiple projects. This is helpful to decision makers to rank and prioritize future projects in a cost-effective manner. Planning and operational policies for the transportation systems can be developed based on the gained insights from this study.

Congenital eversion of upper eyelids: Case report and management

Abstract: Congenital eversion of the upper eyelids is a rare condition, the exact cause of which remains unknown. It is more frequently associated with Down′s syndrome and black babies. If diagnosed early and treated properly, the condition can be managed without surgery. We report a case of congenital bilateral severe upper eyelid eversion in a normal infant, born by vaginal delivery. The case was conservatively managed by lubricants, antibiotics and eyelid patching.

Abstract: A mobile ad-hoc network is an autonomous collection of mobile nodes that communicate over bandwidth constrained wireless links. Due to nodal mobility, the network topology may change rapidly and unpredictably over time. The routing protocols meant for wired network cannot be used for mobile ad-hoc network because of mobility of network. A number of routing protocols like Destination-Sequenced Distance-Vector (DSDV), Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV), Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), and Temporally Ordered Routing Algorithm have been implemented. The ad-hoc routing protocols can be divided into two classes; Table-Driven and On-Demand. Abstract: Today the multimedia content delivery chain faces many challenges. There are increasing terminal diversity, network heterogeneity and pressure to satisfy the user preferences. Therefore, the need of customized contents comes in light to provide users the best possible experience. In this paper, we address the problem of multimedia customization. For the customized content, we suggest the team spirit model (TSM) that uses the web edition content description, MPEG-4 standards and the MPEG-21 multimedia framework. It efficiently implements the video customization.
