Cultura e cotidiano escolar
Alves, Nilda;
Revista Brasileira de Educa??o , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-24782003000200005
Abstract: based on the ideas espoused by michel de certeau and michel foucault, the present paper seeks to show the ways in which the "knitting of culture" is made through the multiple and diverse relationships between "everyday practitioners" within "cultural happenings". by making use of images of the everyday school and other routine daily contexts, we discuss questions concerning the relationships between culture and everyday educational dynamics, focusing on a theme that has occupied the centre of the studies developed by our research group, namely: "networks of knowledge in education and communication: the question of citizenship, technology and cultural artefacts".

Nilda Alves,Regina Garcia Leite
Revista Portuguesa de Educa??o , 2001,
Abstract: The several years we have been publishing together gave us the opportunity to discuss our work in the different research groups we co-ordinate. Despite of our different professional concerns, we both stand for a theoretical and methodological perspective which allows us to characterise the way we envision the process of scientific production in order to better understand the school daily life as a space/time of all the research we develop. In this text, some of our experiences will be the framework for the discussion of the way we understand the need for a collective orientation in the studies about daily life.
Oliveira, Inês Barbosa de;Alves, Nilda;
Educa??o & Sociedade , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-73302006000200013
Abstract: based on a paper by moraes and kuenzer published in educa??o & sociedade 93, which raised issues related to post-graduation in education, this paper discusses the history and development of education as a field of studies considering various possible contributions of research and presenting aspects that differ from and even contradict those brought forth by these authors. in total agreement with the referred authors about the importance of the practice-theory relations to the field, it claims that the history of the "education" area allows widening this discussion. the complexity and transdisciplinarity that characterize the educational field is regarded as a mediator of both multiple practices and theories and different modes of thinking and acting with them. considering education as a field which comprehends multiple practices, the authors focus on the notion of interwoven knowledge nets so as to grasp the ways theory and practice are articulated, which could not be achieved otherwise.
Imagens de escolas: espa?ostempos de diferen?as no cotidiano
Alves, Nilda;Oliveira, Inês Barbosa de;
Educa??o & Sociedade , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-73302004000100003
Abstract: based on common research data on everyday school life and, above all, on practices and histories of public school female teachers, this text brings forward a reflection on how images were used, considering them, following manguel (2001), as always related to narratives. we thus present images of rural and urban schools and interpret them as parts of meaning production, stressing differences and similarities and focusing on the multiple possibilities they bring about so as to grasp the nets they interweave, regarding time-space and teaching-learning, which are central to everyday school life studies.
Imagens de escolas: espa ostempos de diferen as no cotidiano
Alves Nilda,Oliveira Inês Barbosa de
Educa??o & Sociedade , 2004,
