Demin Mirjana A.,Vuceli?-Radovi? Biljana V.,Banjac Neboj?a R.,Nikolajevna-Tipsina Neli
Hemijska Industrija , 2013, DOI: 10.2298/hemind120314048d
Abstract: The aim of this work was to compare the nutritional characteristics of wheat bread with the bread produced of wheat flour supplemented with quinoa and buckwheat seeds. Bread making properties of these blends were analyzed in order to investigate their ability to make moulded bread. Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Will.) and buckwheat seeds were grown in the vicinity of Belgrade, Serbia. The addition of pseudocereal seeds (at levels of 30% and 40%) and a selected technological process, which included hydrothermal preparation of supplements, resulted with a valuable effect on nutritive value of breads. In comparison with the wheat bread that was used as control sample, the protein increase of 2% and the increase of crude fiber content at around 0.5% in 30% supplemented breads were registered. Furthermore, the incorporation of both seeds mixture at the level of 40%, increased the content of protein for 2.5% and fiber content for 0.4%. In regard to the starch, fat, and ash contents there were no major differences. The investigated breads were nutritionally superior to the wheat bread. Chemical composition of the selected seeds was also investigated. The results showed that the blends containing either 30% or 40% of selected seeds expressed high potential for the production of molded breads, as new baking products with enhanced nutritional composition. The applied technological procedure was modified in such way that for all blended combination of supplements it changed rheological properties of dough. Furthermore, it resulted in a good volume of breads with excellent sensory properties of aroma-odor and taste.

Abstract: The paper reveals uncommonly examined aspects concerning the specifics of the motor de-velopment in the children with autistic spectrum disorders and the problems regarding their diagnostics and the-ra-py. An analytical theory of the autistic disorders is des-cribed, connecting autism with disorders in the ba-sic levels of affective behavioral regulation. The re-port in-cludes a classification of the groups of autis-tic children, each of which demonstrates spe-ci-fic motor dysfunctions. Furthermore, the paper ana-ly-zes and recommends methodo-lo-gi-cal approaches to motor therapy which will help improve the de-ve-lop-ment of different motor skills.

Abstract: the purpose of this article is to present theoretical and conceptual questions about public inclusive policies and to reflect upon evaluation of children with special educational needs. the article was based on the results of the author's research on this subject. the right to regular education has made possible for children with special educational needs to develop cognitive and social functions and for teachers who are involved in this process, to seek for qualification in several fields of knowledge. the article also mentions evaluation, which needs a critic reflection. special attention is given to vygotsky's theoretical contributions, and to their implications for the discussions on education and society inclusion.

South African Journal of Education , 2008,
Abstract: Some Grade 4 educators have expressed feelings of ineptitude regarding the support of ESL (English Second Language) learners with limited English proficiency as they do not know how to support these learners effectively. Their litany emphasises ESL educators' need for supportive and preventive intervention. A Story-based Language Enrichment Programme (SLEP) was compiled to suit the needs of educators teaching Grade 4 ESL learners with limited English proficiency. The programme was designed to maintain or improve the English proficiency of ESL learners. An intervention research method was followed to test the efficacy of SLEP. Forty teachers implemented SLEP over a six-week period. Thirty-nine teachers provided constructive feedback at the end of this period. Between 92% and 100% of the participants rated SLEP positively. Rural participants suggested some refinements to the programme. The overall conclusion was that SLEP makes a useful contribution to ESL practice.
Flight to America
neli Gün
American Studies Journal , 2011,
Abstract: Güneli Gün’s memoir piece truly combines the excitement of the young traveler with the humor of the mature narrator. Born in Izmir, Turkey, she breaks her engagement to a young but conservative Turkish architect and overcomes her father’s concerns to eventually study at Hollins College, Virginia. Addressing topics such as breaking out of a traditional society, being torn between the home country and the imagined new home, and finding comfort in the arts, “Flight to America” compellingly reflects Güneli Gün’s mastery as a storyteller.

The purpose of this article based on the action research method is to present an analysis of inclusive education based on the perceptions of 30 teachers and 10 students with special educational needs. The research was developed during an inclusive education teacher formation program, in Forianópolis (in Santa Catarina state, Brazil), using the technique of letter writing with the teachers, while the students were asked do draw about the teacher-student relationship at school. The drawings were shown to the teachers during the formation program. The analysis of the collected data made the identification of perceptions possible, such as where to insert difficulties of learning, teacher formation, interactions between teachers and students at school, affectivity, technical questions about pedagogy and a good evolution of inclusive education. The policies in inclusive education have made inclusion possible, but other factors are important, such as the dualism between inclusion and exclusion in society, which is an important question about inclusive education and citizenship.

Context-dependent Reasoning for the Semantic Web
Neli P. Zlatareva
Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics , 2011,
Abstract: Ontologies are the backbone of the emerging Semantic Web, which is envisioned to dramatically improve current web services by extending them with intelligent capabilities such as reasoning and context-awareness. They define a shared vocabulary of common domains accessible to both, humans and computers, and support various types of information management including storage and processing of data. Current ontology languages, which are designed to be decidable to allow for automatic data processing, target simple typed ontologies that are completely and consistently specified. As the size of ontologies and the complexity of web applications grow, the need for more flexible representation and reasoning schemes emerges. This article presents a logical framework utilizing context-dependent rules which are intended to support not fully and/or precisely specified ontologies. A hypothetical application scenario is described to illustrate the type of ontologies targeted, and the type of queries that the presented logical framework is intended to address.
