Abstract: In the title compound, 2C6H4N2·C2H2O4, the oxalic acid molecule lies about an inversion center. The pyridine ring of the pyridine-4-carbonitrile molecule is almost planar, the largest deviation from the least-squares plane being 0.006 (1) ; the nitrile N atom deviates from this plane by 0.114 (1) . In the crystal, the oxalic acid molecules and the pyridine-4-carbonitrile molecules form stacks. Neighboring molecules within the stacks are related by translation in the a direction, with interplanar distances of 3.183 (1) and 3.331 (2) , respectively. Each oxalic acid molecule forms strong O—H...N hydrogen bonds with two molecules of pyridine-4-carbonitrile. Besides this, there are also weak C—H...O interactions.

The two naphthalene ring systems make a dihedral angle of 70.10 (4)°. In the molecule, the hydroxy groups are involved in a strong intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of O—H...O hydrogen bonds occur. A weak C—H...π interaction is also observed in the crystal.

Abstract: In this paper, the summer climate of 1991 in North China is simulated by using the high- resolution regional climate model (RegCM2) and the effects of the grassland desertification on summer drought in the central and the northern parts of North China as well as Mongolia are studied. It shows that the regional climate model essentially catches the characteristics on distribution and seasonal variation of the precipitation that keep good agreement with the observation. The desertification makes precipitation in the central part of North China during its flood period de-crease obviously in July. The border of the precipitation or the soil moisture reduction in the desertification region extends about one latitude southeastward and beyond the southeast edge of the desertification. Thus, vegetation in the border region approaches desertification further. How-ever, there appears evident difference of variation of precipitation over the whole desertification region. The grassland desertification greatly changes the transfers of fluxes between land and at-mosphere. The secondary circulation or secondary circulation cells in the desertification region are excited and as a result moisture transport is changed. The variation of flux transfers between land and atmosphere as well as the vertical motion of atmosphere is closely related to that of precipita-tion.
Numerical Experiments for the influence of the Transition Zone Migration on Summer Climate in North China

Abstract: As the position of the transition zone changes obviously, that is, as the transition zone migrates to the north or the south from present position, it affects water or heat balance between the land and the atmosphere in a considerable degree and has a profound influence on climate in North China. The experiment re-sults in this paper indicate whether in the dry case or in the wet case of the large-scale climatological back-ground field, the surface air temperature in a wide range of the transition zone migration and its sur-rounding decreases as the transition zone migrates northward. Moreover, the net upward fluxes of the sur-face long wave radiation and the sensible heat decrease, and the evaporation to the atmosphere increases. As the transition zone migrates southward, the results are opposite. This kind of significant thermal forcing between the land and the atmosphere can excite secondary circulation or circulation cells, which interact with the large-scale circulation systems, changing the atmospheric motion, affecting the water vapor transporta-tion and consequently having an effect on the precipitation.
Identification of Candidate Targeted Genes in Molecular Subtypes of Gastric Cancer  [PDF]

Because of high heterogeneity, a further classification should be made for diagnosis and treatment in gastric cancer. Biomarkers selected in subtypes are important for precision medicine. Based on gene expression level, we constructed genome-wide co-expression networks for invasive, proliferative and metabolic subtype in gastric cancer respectively. The hierarchical clustering was used to get sub-networks, and hub gene sets of subtypes were got by analysis in sub-networks. Unique differential expression genes as candidate targeted genes in subtype were gained by a comparative analysis between subtypes. These genes may be helpful for improving diagnosis and therapy methods and developing new drug in gastric cancer.
