Función sexual autoinformada en mujeres venezolanas con menopausia natural y quirúrgica

Abstract: background: female sexual function is an important indicator of quality of life, which may be affected to reach menopause. aims: to compare sexual function in women with natural and surgical menopause attending at the gynecology consultation in the "dr. pedro garcía clara" hospital, zulia state, venezuela. methods: a comparative and applied type research with non-experimental, contemporary and field design, which included a sample of 80 patients diagnosed with menopause, divided into two groups according to type of menopause and evaluated by the female sexual function index (fsfi). results: we found a significant differences (p<0.05) in hysterectomized women as to indicators excitation frequency, frequency of orgasm and pain after penetration, as well as the dimensions desire orgasm and pain. while the points achieved in both groups showed no significant differences between them, hysterectomized women showed better scores. conclusion: it is concluded that there are no differences in the general sexual function between natural or surgical menopause, except for desire, orgasm and pain.

Abstract: Antecedentes: La función sexual femenina es un importante indicador de la calidad de vida, la cual puede verse afectada al llegar la menopausia. Objetivos: Comparar la función sexual en mujeres con menopausia natural y quirúrgica que acuden a la consulta de ginecología del Hospital "Dr. Pedro García Clara", Estado Zulia, Venezuela. Método: Investigación de tipo comparativa y aplicada, con dise o no experimental, contemporáneo y de campo; que incluyó una muestra de 80 pacientes con diagnóstico de menopausia, divididas en dos grupos de acuerdo al tipo de menopausia y evaluadas mediante el índice de Función Sexual Femenina (IFSF). Resultados: Hubo diferencias significativas (p<0,05) a favor de las histerectomizadas en cuanto a los indicadores: frecuencia de la excitación, frecuencia del orgasmo y dolor posterior a la penetración, así como a las dimensiones deseo, orgasmo y dolor. Si bien la puntuación total alcanzada en ambos grupos no mostró diferencias significativas entre ellos, las mujeres histerectomizadas presentaron mejores puntuaciones. Conclusiones: No existen diferencias en la función sexual general entre las menopáusicas naturales o quirúrgicas, salvo para el deseo, el orgasmo y dolor. Abstract: background: the medicine's advance has increased the life expectancy when being born and the growth of the greater population of 60 years, being increasing the women in menopause stage. objective: to study the quality of life (ql) in menopause's women with and without hormonal therapy. method: an investigation of comparative and applied type was settle down, with nonexperimental, contemporary transeccional and field design, where was included a sample of 200 patients with diagnosis of menopause. to these patients was be applied a questionnaire of ql, sf-36 and the menopause rating scale (mrs). results: it was a significant differences (p<0.05) in the presence of physical pain and highly significant differences (p<0.01) respect to the somatic, psychological and urogenitals symptoms in the nontreated patients when comparing them with those who received trh. conclusion: patient under trh perceives a greater specific ql with respect to the patients who do not receive it, presenting less severe somatic or psychological symptoms.

Abstract: Antecedentes: El avance de la medicina ha incrementado la esperanza de vida al nacer y el crecimiento de la población mayor a 60 a os, siendo cada vez mayor las mujeres en etapa de menopausia. Objetivo: Estudiar la calidad de vida (CV) en pacientes menopáusicas con y sin terapia de reemplazo hormonal. Método: Se estableció una investigación de tipo comparativa y aplicada, con dise o no experimental, contemporáneo transeccional y de campo, donde se incluyo una muestra de 200 pacientes con diagnóstico de menopausia. Se les aplicaron los cuestionario de CV SF-36 y el Menopause Rating Scale (MRS). Resultados: Hubo diferencias significativas (p<0,05) en cuanto al dolor físico y altamente significativas (p<0,01), respecto a los síntomas somáticos, psicológicos y urogenitales en las pacientes no tratadas vs las del grupo que recibió TRH. Conclusión: Las pacientes bajo TRH perciben una mayor CV específica respecto a las pacientes que no la reciben, presentando síntomas somáticos o psicológicos menos severos. Abstract: Los tumores cerebrales son infrecuentes durante el embarazo. Los neurinomas del acústico pueden ser sintomáticos por primera vez durante la gestación y representan el 6-8% de las neoplasias intracraneales. El objetivo de esta comunicación es presentar el caso de una primigesta adolescente que presentó sintomatología neurológica de afectación del VIII par y de fosa posterior, característica de la neurofibromatosis tipo 2. PREVALENCIA DE DEPRESIóN POSPARTO EN PRIMIGESTAS Y MULTíPARAS VALORADAS POR LA ESCALA DE EDIMBURGO

Abstract: background: today the depressive upheavals represent an important public health's problem, being more frequent in the women and with greater risk during the pregnancy and puerperium. objective: to compare the prevalence of postpartum depression in nulliparous and multiparous women taken care of maternity "dr. armando castillo plaza" at the university hospital of maracaibo, venezuela. method: a comparative investigation with non experimental design was realized, it which included a sample of 100 women in later puerperium, divided in two even groups of 50 subjects according to her parity, evaluated by edinburgh postnatal depression scale. the results demonstrated a prevalence of the positive test in 91% of the sample, with a confirmed prevalence of postpartum depression by the dsm-iv of 22%, presenting a highly frequency of suicidal ideas in the multiparous group (p<0.05) also, don?t found statistically significant association between parity and postpartum depression. conclusion: the studied population show a highly prevalence of postpartum depression, without majors differences according to the parity.

Abstract: background: postpartum depression (ppd) is a major mental health disorder in women, which have been attributed to various risk factors for it presentation. objective: to determine the ppd's risk factors present in the postpartum patients taken care of maternity "dr armando castillo plaza" at the university hospital of maracaibo, venezuela. method: a descriptive study was conducted with non-experimental design, which included a sample of 100 postpartum women, as measured by the scale of the edinburgh postpartum depression (edps). results: the results demonstrated a prevalence of the positive test in 91% of the sample, with a confirmed prevalence of postpartum depression by the dsm-iv of 22%, determined that the characteristics assessed only medical disorders during pregnancy, the disease of the newborn, not having the support from your partner, have a history of depression or melancholy, or have a primary or lower education level, showed a significant association with the development of ppd. for its part, the birth by caesarean section and not having family support showed a significant association with the risk of ppd, while vaginal delivery or have reached a level higher than primary education showed a protective effect with this condition. conclusion: there is a high prevalence of postpartum depression, with several risk factors that would take action for a timely diagnosis of disease.

Abstract: La asociación entre cáncer y embarazo es infrecuente, con una incidencia entre 0,02-0,1%. El cáncer cérvico-uterino es la neoplasia más frecuentemente asociada a la gestación, con tasas entre 1-13/10.000 partos. Se presenta el caso de una gestante indígena de 38 a os de edad y 15 semanas de gestación, con el diagnóstico de un carcinoma de cuello uterino epidermoide de células grandes, estadio clínico IIB. The association between cancer and pregnancy is infrequent, with an incidence between 0.02-0.1 percent.
