Reasons, Consequences and Solutions to Anti-Business Logic Behavior of State-Owned Enterprises Controllers  [PDF]

Abstract: Focusing on the anti-business logic behavior of state-owned enterprises controllers, this paper finds that the behavior is characterized by lack of cost constraints, control of commodity prices to make it lower than market equilibrium price, stressing on scale while neglecting efficiency, etc., which causes consequences of overcapacity in some state-owned enterprises, zombie enterprises, the loss of state-owned assets, financial burdens for the state, and unequal market status for private enterprises. Finally, the paper puts forward effective solutions.

Abstract: To investigate the pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of rabeprazole administrated by intravenous infusion and oral administration in healthy Chinese volunteers. A total of 20 male subjects were recruited and randomly assigned at the beginning of the study to receive a single dose of rabeprazole (20 mg) administrated either intravenously or orally. Following a 7-day washout period, all subjects received another 20mg dose via the alternate route. Intravenous dose was given in constant infusion over 30 min, and the oral dose was given in two 10mg tablets. Intravenous administration yielded the following measurements: the terminal half-life was (62.4±10.7) min; the Cmax was (1308.6±266.4) ng·ml-1; the total body clearance was (0.21±0.05) L·min-1; the AUC0-τ and AUC0-∞ were (99.6±21.9) mg min L-1 and (102. 4±23.3) mg min L-1, respectively. Oral administration yielded the following measurements: the half-life was (64.2±15.5) min; the Cmax was (508.3±180.2) ng·ml-1; Tmax was attained at about 229.5 min; the total body clearance was (0.31±0.10) L·min-1; the AUC0-τ and AUC0-∞ were (69.5±20.0) mg min L-1 and (70.6±20.2) mg min L-1, respectively. The bioavailability of rabeprazole was estimated to be 70.1% in healthy Chinese volunteers. The total body clearance after oral administration was significantly higher than that measured following intravenous administration (P <0.01).
Primary Study on Mutation Effect in Taproots of Radish Cultivar “Huangzhou” by Ethylmethylsulfone (EMS)  [PDF]

Abstract: Mutation breeding by Ethylmethylsulfone (EMS) has several advantages: high mutation ratio, many mutated phenotypes and low destruction which has been widely applied for crop breeding. We traced to uncover the mutagenic effect of EMS to Huangzhou radish by observation on germination ratio, root length and agronomic traits in field after soaking radish seeds by different concentration of EMS. In aspect of low germination ratio and short root length, the growth of radish is inhibited as the increasing concentration of EMS (from 0.2% to 2%) which indicates the inhibited effect of EMS to “Huangzhou” radish. Furthermore, the suitable concentration of EMS for “Huangzhou” radish is 0.4% - 0.8% according to the selection criteria of 50% lethal concentration. The field traits are recorded after the seed of “Huangzhou” treated by 0.5% EMS. Some agronomic traits on treated group were found including thickened taproots by compared with CK.
Probabilistic Fuzzy Regression Approach from the Point of View Risk  [PDF]

Abstract: Fuzzy regression analysis is an important regression analysis method to predict uncertain information in the real world. In this paper, the input data are crisp with randomness; the output data are trapezoid fuzzy number, and three different risk preferences and chaos optimization algorithm are introduced to establish fuzzy regression model. On the basis of the principle of the minimum total spread between the observed and the estimated values, risk-neutral, risk-averse, and risk-seeking fuzzy regression model are developed to obtain the parameters of fuzzy linear regression model. Chaos optimization algorithm is used to determine the digital characteristic of random variables. The mean absolute percentage error and variance of errors are adopted to compare the modeling results. A stock rating case is used to evaluate the fuzzy regression models. The comparisons with five existing methods show that our proposed method has satisfactory performance.
Association of the genetic variants of luteinizing hormone, luteinizing hormone receptor and polycystic ovary syndrome

Abstract: 315 PCOS women and 212 controls were screened for the gene variants of LH G1052A and LHR rs61996318 polymorphisms by polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP).PCOS patients had significantly more A allele frequency of LH G1052A mutations than controls (p=0.001). Within PCOS group, carriers of LH 1052A allele had lower LH (p=0.05) and higher fasting glucose levels (p=0.04). No subjects were identified with LHR rs61996318 polymorphisms. A new LHR single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) was found without clear association with PCOS.Results suggested LH G1052A mutation might influence PCOS susceptibility and phenotypes.
Effects of Teachers Level of Education and Experience on Teacher-Child Interactions in Early Childhood Institutions  [PDF]

Abstract:

Early childhood care and development (ECCD) in Ghana have received attention in the lat decade. To ensure quality of instruction and build capacity of early childhood teachers and caregivers, the National Nursery Teachers’ Training Centre was set up by the government to offer specialized training in nursery education for teachers and nursery attendants. Universities and the Colleges of Education have been mandated to train teachers for early childhood education. This study therefore sought to find out the effects of level of education and years of experience of teachers on their interactions with children (3 - 5) in early-childhood institutions in Ghana using the Caregiver Child Interaction Scale (r = 0.77). The sample (N = 103; Female 99%): made up of teachers from thirty-one preschools in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana were observed during their normal classroom routine. There appeared not to be any statistically significant difference between the teachers’ level of education and years of experience on the interaction scores.

Generalization of the Global Error Minimization for Constructing Analytical Solutions to Nonlinear Evolution Equations  [PDF]

Abstract: The global error minimization is a variational method for obtaining approximate analytical solutions to nonlinear oscillator equations which works as follows. Given an ordinary differential equation, a trial solution containing unknowns is selected. The method then converts the problem to an equivalent minimization problem by averaging the squared residual of the differential equation for the selected trial solution. Clearly, the method fails if the integral which defines the average is undefined or infinite for the selected trial. This is precisely the case for such non-periodic solutions as heteroclinic (front or kink) and some homoclinic (dark-solitons) solutions. Based on the fact that these types of solutions have vanishing velocity at infinity, we propose to remedy to this shortcoming of the method by averaging the product of the residual and the derivative of the trial solution. In this way, the method can apply for the approximation of all relevant type of solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. The approach is simple, straightforward and accurate as its original formulation. Its effectiveness is demonstrated using a Helmholtz-Duffing oscillator.
Association of TRB3 Q84R polymorphism with polycystic ovary syndrome in Chinese women

Abstract: A case-control study with two groups: PCOS group (n = 336) and control group of infertility women for tubal and/or male factor (n = 116) was performed. Genotyping of the TRB3 R84 variant was determined by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP).The frequency of genotype QQ in PCOS women was significantly lower, while genotype QR and RR were significantly higher than that in control group (p < 0.05). However, the difference disappeared after adjustment for BMI. At glucose1h, glucose2h and insulin2h point, the difference between QQ individuals and R84 allele carriers in PCOS women reached statistical significance during OGTT (p < 0.05).TRB3 Q84R polymorphism is associated with obesity and especially glucose metabolism and not associated with polycystic ovary syndrome because of compositional characteristics of phenotype in Chinese PCOS women.Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder with amenorrhoea (or oligomenorrhoea), hyperandrogenism, hirsutism, obesity and insulin resistance (IR). It affects 5-10% reproductive aged women and is a leading cause of female infertility [1]. It is a complex and heterogeneous disorder due to the interaction of multiple genetic defects and environmental factors [2]. Candidate genes for etiology of PCOS involve in ovarian and adrenal steroidogenesis, steroid hormone actions, gonadotropin action and regulation, insulin action and secretion, energy homeostasis, chronic inflammation and others [3]. Insulin resistance is a pathophysiological contributor in around 50% to 80% of women with PCOS [4]. Association of Polymorphism of Microsatellite Markers with Litter Size in Chinese Funiu White Goat

Abstract: With the aim to detect micro-satellites loci affecting prolific in Funiu White Goat, Eight micro-satellites loci (OarAE101, BM1329, BM 143, LSCV043, GC101, TGLA68, OarHH55 and OarHH35) were selected to study the genetic polymorphisms in Funiu White goats and to analyze their association with litter size of the goat breeds. Within these seven loci, Polymorphism Information Content (PIC), Number of effective alleles (Ne) and Heterozygosity (H) were calculated. The results showed that the mean number of alleles per locus was 7.63±1.60 (range from 6-11) and the mean Ne was 5.34±0.41 (range, 4.74-5.61) and the mean PIC was 0.79±0.02 (range, 0.756-0.799), the mean heterozygosity was 0.88±0.03 (range, 0.84-0.92). It is indicated that the 8 microsatellite loci on the litter size of goat showed that 110 and 110/110 bp at OarAE101, 147/160 bp at 1329, 108/118 and 108 bp at BM143, 160 and 123/160 bp at OarHH35, 115 and 115/115 bp at TGLA68, 123/123 and 145/150 bp at OarHH55, 95/160 bp at LSCV043 had positive effects on the litter size in Funiu White goat. While 155 bp at BM1329, 100/123 bp at BM143 has negative effects on the second litter size and 119/135 bp at OarHH 55,115/160 bp at LSCV043 has negative effects on the total litter size in Funiu White goat. These results may be applied to marker-assisted selection and molecular breeding of Funiu White goat in future.
