International Journal of Clinical Medicine (IJCM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/ijcm.2014.511086

The use of Ultrasonography is very important in the diagnosis of several conditions of the body, particularly the muscular skeletal system, and it is grateful as a very valuable method of exploration complementary of image. The fascitis to plant is frequent in the corridors. The use of the Ultrasonography is with the objective of visualizing the presence and the magnitude of the fascitis plant in a fond corridor and to know the sensibility of the Ultrasonography of High Resolution in the diagnosis of this lesion. This study in a fond corridor, symptomatic of affection to plant fascitis, in this case severe increase of low ecogenicidad of the insert was verified in the calcaneus of the fascia to plant of the tweeted right with bony proliferation sketch at that level, in contrast with the one against-lateral. The Ultrasonography demonstrated its sensibility in the diagnosis of the fascitis to plant that it is recognized as the most frequent affection that is presented in corridors related with the occasional incursion of career or to its systematic practice associated with factors external they predispose.

A Longitudinal Analysis of the Relationship between Positive and Negative Affect and Health  [PDF]
Tamara Ambrona, Belén López-Pérez
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2014.58097

The present article analyses the influence of positive and negative affect on health. The sample consists of 113 first-year undergraduates (76.1% female, 21.2% male and 2.7% unknown), with an age range of 18 to 27 years (M = 19.12, SD = 1.77). Participants were asked to fill out the Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS), physical health was measure with one scale of the General Health Survey (SF-20), one month and one year later of filling out the PANAS. We used a structural equation modelling to test longitudinal relationships between positive and negative affect and health. As we expected, PA and NA predicted health measured one month later and one year later, respectively. Longitudinal analyses over successive 1-month and 1-year intervals revealed reciprocal effects between health and negative and positive affect. The implications for research on health and emotions are discussed.

Validación de características al ingreso como predictores del rendimiento académico en la carrera de medicina
Carrión Pérez,Evangelina;
Educaci?3n M??dica Superior , 2002,
Abstract: it is very useful to predict the academic performance of students so as to take adequate measures individually and globally. the present paper characterizes the students who entered the medical career in 1992-93 and 1993-94 courses, taking into account performance variables at admission and during the career, the origins of these students, ways of admission, centers and municipalities where they come from. the performance variables used were: academic index at high school, results of the admission tests, results of biomedical subject tests, academic index per year and at graduation. some association among the considered variables was looked for and the regression models were adjusted to allow assessing the predictive capacity of admission indicators such as academic index in high school and results of the admission tests, which have an incidence on the medical studies. it was conclauded that both the academic index and the results of admission tests can be used as predictors of future performance, being the academic index in high school the most relevant.
Teoría antropológica de la acción: Un contrapunto desde la praxis
Durán Pérez,Teresa;
Intersecciones en antropolog?-a , 2009,
Abstract: this article illustrates and problematizes a previously unformulated theoretical link between an anthropological approach known within european academia as transaccionalism and a disciplinary praxis self-defined as interactive applied anthropology (iaa). it is of interest to demonstrate that while some assumptions and methodological considerations have been projected from this body of work into recent studies, others have differed in form and content with respect to the local socio-cultural dynamic and contemporary debates about how and why the social sciences are studied. the article is organized in three parts: the first presents a descriptive, analytical reading of transaccionalism in chile with respect to the available works; the second presents the way in which local anthropology has supplemented/added to this body of work; finally, the relationship is analyzed in the third section through the creation and execution of a project motivated by collegial interest in participating in the policy-making processes of local government representatives.
