In the light of results from psycholinguistics and cognitive psychology concerning learning models and verbal production processes, this article follows up two objectives. Before exploring the potential development of grammatical activities in a digital learning environment, the first part will explore how we can conceive grammatical explanations aiming at an integration of current results from the discourse analysis and text linguistics. This first part aims at highlighting the usefulness of grammatical explanations when associated with prototypes of actual productions of utterances. At the same time textual functions of grammatical markers will be associated to complete the analysis of the textual structure. The second part of the article will investigate the possibilities to create didactic activities with ICT resources that could help FFL learners to internalize grammatical routines for an appropriate production and reception of discourses in real-life situati
The Value of the Freshwater Snail Dip Scoop Sampling Method in Macroinvertebrates Bioassessment of Sugar Mill Wastewater Pollution in Mbandjock, Cameroon

International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health , 2008, DOI: 10.3390/ijerph5020068
Abstract: Macroinvertebrates identification and enumeration may be used as a simple and affordable alternative to chemical analysis in water pollution monitoring. However, the ecological responses of various taxa to pollution are poorly known in resources-limited tropical countries. While freshwater macroinvertebrates have been used in the assessment of water quality in Europe and the Americas, investigations in Africa have mainly focused on snail hosts of human parasites. There is a need for sampling methods that can be used to assess both snails and other macroinvertebrates. The present study was designed to evaluate the usefulness of the freshwater snail dip scoop method in the study of macroinvertebrates for the assessment of the SOSUCAM sugar mill effluents pollution. Standard snail dip scoop samples were collected upstream and downstream of the factory effluent inputs, on the Mokona and Mengoala rivers. The analysis of the macroinvertebrate communities revealed the absence of Ephemeroptera and Trichoptera, and the thriving of Syrphidae in the sections of the rivers under high effluent load. The Shannon and Weaver diversity index was lower in these areas. The dip scoop sampling protocol was found to be a useful method for macroinvertebrates collection. Hence, this method is recommended as a simple, cost-effective and efficient tool for the bio-assessment of freshwater pollution in developing countries with limited research resources.

The micro-identities of Region Jesuiti Guarani Missions through interpretation of cultural landscapes: a dialectic with the reflections of Guy Di Méo Abstract: The Historic Region of Jesuit Guarani Missions has a diverse heritage. Currently these cultural assets are being planned by best international and national bodies. However, one notices the lack of studies to analyze the construction of the missionary identity and its relations with the transformations of space. The article focused on analyzing missionary identity construction from the interpretation of regional landscapes, to reflect on the creation of social spaces. There fore, it was used as a theoretical framework to the reflections of the French philosopher Guy Di Meo. The study stands out for proposing the discussion of a unified vision for the identity not missions,because the research can identify various socio-spatial identitie sin the region. It should be noted that the thoughts of Guy Di Meo contributed to the integration of concepts between, identity, heritage, social spaces, landscapes, and tourism. DINAMISMO ILEGAL Y DESAFíO OFICIAL: EL CONTRABANDO EN TUMACO Y EL PACíFICO SUR EN LAS DéCADAS DE 1860 Y 1870
Laurent,Muriel;
Historia Crítica , 2009,
Abstract: this article discusses the problems of contraband in tumaco and the surrounding region in the 1860s and 1870s, at the beginning of the export bonanza through this port. using contraband as way to identify merchants, commercial routes, and imported products, it is possible to analyze the commercial dynamic of tumaco before the port had acquired its later importance in the national economy. we suggest that tumaco already experienced a particular dynamism based on illicit trade that was crucial for the region even though it threatened state authority and its finances.
NUEVA FRANCIA Y NUEVA GRANADA FRENTE AL CONTRABANDO: REFLEXIONES SOBRE EL COMERCIO ILíCITO EN EL CONTEXTO COLONIAL
Laurent,Muriel;
Historia Crítica , 2003,
Abstract: this paper presents a series of reflections on the phenomenon of smuggling, based on the specific cases of two american colonies, new france and new granada, during the 17th and 18th centuries. the purpose is to highlight the characteristics common to illicit trade in both these colonies despite their notorious differences. specifically, the paper focuses on five different traits that typified smuggling in both new france and new granada and which make it possible to explain its continued existence there throughout the colonial period: first, the socioeconomic needs underlying the rise and continuation of smuggling; secondly, the measures taken by the authorities to repress this illegal activity; thirdly, the role of merchants and their relative independence with respect to authority; fourthly, the topic of profitability and subsequent enrichment, marked by corruption and the influence of social networks in official affairs; fifth and finally, the presence of indigenous groups, their co-existence with authorities in the conquered territories, and their relationship to trade.
... Y TODOS ELLOS ROBAN A SUS CONCIUDADANOS: ACERCA DEL DELITO DE CONTRABANDO EN EL SIGLO XIX COLOMBIANO
Laurent,Muriel;
Historia Crítica , 2009,
Abstract: this article examines how contraband was perceived and punished in colombia between 1821 and 1886. to do so, it frst establishes how authorities viewed contraband and then reviews how violators were sanctioned, comparing these punishments with the evolution of the legal system over the same period. finally, the article addresses the actually-applied punishments in order to evaluate whether the letter of the law was followed. by discerning how authorities viewed this crime, the coherence between these views and its penalization, the relationship between this sanction and other existing punishments and their application, the article attempts to determine how contraband was perceived.
Monopolios, aranceles y contrabando en Nueva Granada, 1821-1830
Laurent, Muriel;
América Latina en la historia económica , 2011,
Abstract: this article studies contraband in new granada during the first decade after independence. given that the regulation of customs and trade remained protectionist and fiscally oriented, despite the growing acceptance of arguments in favor of free trade, it examines what happened to this illicit trade. the article tries to determine the relationship between these regulations and contraband. it also evaluates whether the frequently-held assumption that increasing prohibition or taxes on trade leads to a rise in contraband holds true for colombia. if it does hold true, the article also attempts to establish whether or not there was greater contraband in prohibited or highly-taxes products.

In this text I shall introduce a working hypothesis within a social context in which are intertwined the following issues: on the one hand, the constant problematizationof personal and collective identities; on the other,an increasing preoccupation for the composition of accounts and the constitution of practices as regards the conservation of elements in risk of disappearing. From this starting point, the hypothesis would seek, ina plausible way, to answer this interrogation: is it possible to develop mechanisms of identity construction and preservation after, from a social point of view, catastrophic situations (wars, dictatorships, natural catastrophes, terrorist attacks)? The hypothesis presented as a set of reflections comes to respond in anaffirmative way: it is possible to produce or reconstruct meaning strategies after social trauma or catastrophe but neither in its totality (the representation and the reparation will always be partial) nor under the circumstances in which it was used to do it before the catastrophe (other agents and processes participate like, for instance, those considered as experts).
