Piotto, Débora Cristina;

Abstract: the purpose of this study is to discuss the contribution of recent studies for understanding the conditions that make extended learning paths possible in low-income segments. the meticulous analysis of its results and an interview with a student of a highly selective higher education course from this background enables us to raise some issues. the review of some studies on the subject evidencing the central role of the family in extended learning paths also enables us to question some of the meanings commonly assigned to extended learning in low-income segments, such as conformism, suffering, and cultural disruption. the need for further investigation on the role of school, as well as on the existence of other meanings related to school access and the experience of poor students in higher education courses has been made evident.

Cristina Díez Pampliega
Revista Electronica Interuniversitaria de Formación del Profesorado , 2010,
Abstract: The situation in the district of Puente de Vallecas (Madrid, Spani) can be taken as an example of the progressive development of private schools held by public funds at the expense of the public schools network. This situation is the result of different mechanisms: first, the lost perception of education as a common good; second, the neglect of the right to free compulsory education in all schools supported by public funds; and third, the unfair distribution of students from economic and cultural disadvantaged backgrounds.

CRISTINA D?MBOEANU
Revista Roman? de Sociologie , 2008,
Abstract: In Romania, although the level of relapse is high, there are no sociological and criminological studies of this phenomenon. At present, it is not known who are those criminals who relapse and which are the factors determining them to repeatedly infringe the law. At international level there are numerous specialized publicationswhich approach the theoretical and practical aspects of relapse, in an attempt to identify the main causes favoring the repetition of criminal behavior and to prepare certain measures aimed at preventing and reduce the span of this phenomenon. This article presents one of the most recent directions of analysis of relapse described inthe literature of the Western academic environment, that of the "criminal career." It approaches the main working concepts and hypotheses of this theoretical model, as well as its implications in the practical dimension, of the means of preventing and controlling the relapse phenomenon.
