POTENTIAL PRODUCTION OF CYCLOPIAZONIC ACID BY PENICILLIUM CAMEMBERTI STRAINS ISOLATED FROM CAMEMBERT TYPE CHEESE

Abstract: The aim of this study was to isolate the strains of fungi from Camembert type cheese, identify them and to test isolated strains of Penicillium camemberti for their ability to produce cyclopiazonic acid. The description of micro- and macromorphological features was used for identification of Penicillium camemberti strains. Strains were subsequently in vitro tested on their potential ability to produce mycotoxin cyclopiazonic acid (CPA). All of the 14 strains of Penicillium camemberti, which were obtained from 20 samples of Camembert type cheese, were cultivated 7, 14, 21, 27 and 30 days on CYA medium at 10±1°C, 15±1°C and 25±1°C in the dark. For determination of CPA production ability by P. camemberti isolates in vitro was TLC used. After 7 days of cultivation cyclopiazonic acid was produced only by 5 from 14 strains cultivated at all cultivation temperatures. After 14 and 21 days of cultivation was CPA produced by 6 strains at all of cultivation temperatures. After 27 and 30 days of cultivation was CPA identified in 7 strains cultivated at all temperatures of cultivation. The other strains also produced mycotoxin, however, not at each temperature. The most productive at all temperatures and after all days were 5 out of 14 tested strains (S9, S10, S13, S18 and S19). Strains S6 and S16 did not produce CPA at any temperature. The lowest production after all days of cultivation was found at 10±1 °C (44%) and the highest at 25±1 °C (85%).
THE OCCURRENCE OF MICROMYCETES IN THE BREAD SAMPLES AND THEIR POTENTIAL ABILITY PRODUCE MYCOTOXINS

Abstract: The aim of this study was to determinate microscopic fungi that can cause occurrence of mould in bread. We used breads from experimental baking with different addition of walnuts (0 - 15%) as model samples. Bread samples were stored in the fridge, in plastic bags and in the bread box. After three days of storage 25% of samples were moldy. The middle parts of breads (4 pieces), that were not moldy, were stored on DRBC and cultured at 25±1oC for three days. All the colonies of micromycets were inserted on identification agar. Molding of bread samples was caused by species of genera: Aspergillus, Penicillium, Cladosporium and Rhizopus. 28 strains of potentially toxigenic species of genera Aspergillus and Penicillium were tested by TLC method for the ability to produce chosen mycotoxins in conditions in vitro. We discovered the production of cyclopiazonic acid, penitrem A and roquefortin C using mentioned method.

Abstract: Current trends in education in Slovakia focus at the transformation of the educational system from the point of view of the content as well as the methods. The main objective might be formed as follows: give the students the opportunity to learn how to learn and help them to succeed in the process. Several key competences were formulated to enable the creation of the system that would reflect the needs of modern society. The paper deals with the aspects of modernisation of the educational process mainly from the point of view of ICT and implementation of e-learning. Furthermore, we concentrate on the competences of the teachers and students that they need to gain and practice for successful teaching.

Abstract: Implementation of ICT into education brings not only easier work with materials (such as design, printing, distribution etc.) but also new techniques and possibilities which can make traditional materials more attractive for students and more effective for teachers as they can make computers do part of their work and the teacher can focus on teaching itself. Testing is definitely one of the areas where ICT with their wide scope of possibilities and advantages have their undeniable position in modernizing the whole process - from generating the questions through completing the tests by students to evaluating and giving feedback. In this paper we bring the overview of various types of quiz questions that are available in LMS Moodle with the basic description and examples of their implementation in different types of tests. We decided to concentrate on the specific question type called Embedded Answers which is based on cloze question format and the advantages and disadvantages it has compared to other question types.Implementácia IKTdo vzdelávania so sebou priná a nielen jednoduch iu prácu s materiálmi (napr. tvorba, tla , distribúcia at .), ale tie nové sp soby a mo nosti, ktoré m u tradi né materiály urobi prí a livej ími pre tudentov a efektívnej ími pre u ite ov, ked e je mo né ponecha as práce na po íta och a u ite sa m e sústredi na samotné vyu ovanie. Testovanie jednozna ne patrí medzi oblasti, kde IKTs ve kym mno stvom mo ností a vyhod, ktoré so sebou priná ajú, patrí neod kriepite né postavenie v modernizácii celého procesu - od generovania otázok cez vyp ňanie testov a po hodnotenie a poskytovanie sp tnej v zby. V tomto príspevku priná ame preh ad r znych typov testovych otázok, ktoré sú dostupné v LMS Moodle, s krátkou charakteristikou a príkladmi ich vyu itia v rozli nych typoch testov. Rozhodli sme sa sústredi na pecificky typ otázok s vlo enymi odpove ami, ktory je zalo eny na tzv. cloze formáte a na vyhody a nevyhody tohto formátu oproti ostatnym typom otázok.
Corruption in Serbia: Unique or a shared Balkan disease?

Abstract: The break up of Yugoslavia resulted in successor states in which corruption spread like wildfire, except Slovenia. Therefore, research of corruption in one country of the Western Balkan should be projected against neighbours. Studying corruption in Serbia and projecting it against her neighbours shows that it scores on some indexes in-between. Doing research on the criminal law processing of corruption in Serbia appears to be in many ways a challenge, even if some initial support is provided. The available data appear to be badly managed and full of pitfalls, which makes it difficult to come to firm conclusions. Nevertheless, the first reconnaissance appeared to be useful in the sense that at present the penal law system appears to be mainly populated by 'small fry': serious cases are still rare. The processing time is very long with a usual mild sentencing outcome. The paper provides suggestions for opening up law enforcement.

Abstract: A Precipitable Water Vapour (PWV), one of the parameters defining an instant state of troposphere, can be derived from the combination of GPS observations and ground meteorological measurements. The precision of the PWV values depends on many variables used in the computation. Their influence is discussed and analysed. The accuracy of the GPS based PWV values is estimated by comparison to the radiosonde based PWV values within the period 2004-2007. Due to different behaviour of the PWV with respect to time of the year, the analysis is performed in each season separately.
Glycans as Biomarkers: Status and Perspectives

Abstract: Protein glycosylation is a ubiquitous and complex co- and post-translational modification leading to glycan formation, i.e. oligosaccharide chains covalently attached to peptide backbones. The significance of changes in glycosylation for the beginning, progress and outcome of different human diseases is widely recognized. Thus, glycans are considered as unique structures to diagnose, predict susceptibility to and monitor the progression of disease. In the omics era, the glycome, a glycan analogue of the proteome and genome, holds considerable promise as a source of new biomarkers. In the design of a strategy for biomarker discovery, new principles and platforms for the analysis of relatively small amounts of numerous glycoproteins are needed. Emerging glycomics technologies comprising different types of mass spectrometry and affinity-based arrays are next in line to deliver new analytical procedures in the field of biomarkers. Screening different types of glycomolecules, selection of differentially expressed components, their enrichment and purification or identification are the most challenging parts of experimental and clinical glycoproteomics. This requires large-scale technologies enabling high sensitivity, proper standardization and validation of the methods to be used. Further progress in the field of applied glycoscience requires an integrated systematic approach in order to explore properly all opportunities for disease diagnosis.

Abstract: According to the requirements on qualitative forms and methods of education, Methodical-pedagogical centre, has prepared a project supporting teaching with use of modern educaton methods with sponzorship from ESF For providing such an extensive project the Methodical-pedagogical centre used e-learning environment. The first part of article emphasizes the importance of teachers education in the new socio-economical conditions. It defines the needs of teachers in the field of using ICT during the education process. It describes forms and methods suitable for gaining new competencies. The second part of the article gives us the information abouth e-learning portal of the project Functional literacy of teachers in information technologies - use of ICT in subjects". The modules are using the different possibilities of MOODLE interface. Author evaluates the interest of teachers for e-learning and the feedback from lectu-trers. The third part of the article presents first experience of using videoconference in the field of education of teachers, on example of a conference aimed to use of ICT in the work of elementary and high school teachers (in the preparation for teaching and also in the teaching process itself).Na základe potreby zvy ovania k ú ovych kompetencií pedagogickych zamestnancov bol s finan nou podporou ESF pripraveny projekt na podporu vyu ovania s vyu itím modernych vyu ovacích metód. Na zabezpe enie rozsiahleho projektu v oblasti vyu ívania informa nych technológií a na zvy enie efektívnosti vzdelávania pedagogickych zamestnancov vyu ilo Metodicko-pedagogické centrum v Tren íne e-learningové prostredie. Príspevok v prvej asti poukazuje na vyznam vzdelávania u ite ov v novych spolo ensko-eko-nomickych podmienkach. Definuje potreby u ite ov v oblasti vyu ívania IKT na vyu ovaní a predstavuje formy a metódy vhodné na získanie novych kompetencií. V druhej asti príspevku je predstaveny e-learningovy portál projektu Funk ná gramotnos u ite ov v informa nych technológiách - vyu itie IKT vo vyu ovacích predmetoch. Jednotlivé vzdelávacie moduly rozli nou mierou vyu ívajú mo nosti prostredia MOODLE. Autor vyhodnocuje záujem pedagógov o e-learningové vzdelávanie a skúsenosti lektorov zo vzdelávania. V tretej asti príspevku sú predstavené prvé skúsenosti vyu itia videokonferencie v oblasti vzdelávania pedagógov na príklade konferencie zameranej na vyu ívanie informa nych technológií v práci pedagógov základnych a strednych k l - v príprave na vyu ovanie i vo vlastnom vyu ovacom procese.

Abstract: Since the onset of the current crisis, numerous intergovernmental organizations made declarations and plans, but only national packages were implemented to minimize adverse effects to real (national) economies. Despite the fact that capital markets have long ago become increasingly complex with a multitude of actors, a state-level approach remains firmly in place. This paper aims to present political responses to the crisis, identifying how politicians envision the future of capital markets and the world economy. The financial crisis might have been a direct motive to start a global political interplay regarding regulation, but it was also a unique opportunity for numerous actors to start pressing for their own agenda vis-à-vis the global economic and political order. Reviewing the responses of several of the most prominent actors on the scene may contribute to understanding how close the world is to having a new financial - or even economic - structure on the global level.
