Colibi a Climatic Resort (Bistri a-N s ud County) between Project and Purpose

Journal of Settlements and Spatial Planning , 2011,
Abstract: Colibi a Depression is located at the contact between the Barg u and C limani rock formations, overlapping the upper basin of the Bistri a Ardelean River. The area posses a significant tourist potential, exploited in the past by the existing climacteric resort. The hydroelectric development activities that took place between 1976 and 1996 deactivated the spa, but once they were finished, tourism experienced a powerful come-back. As a result, county institutions (namely the Bistri a-N s ud County Council) and local authorities (the mayoralty of Bistri a Barg ului commune) are interested in the revival of the Colibi a climatic resort. This is already happening, through several specific activities and projects. Under these circumstances, our study tries to realise an evaluation of the region’s attractive potential, as well as an analysis of the criteria needed to be fulfilled in order to reestablish Colibi a climatic resort.
SUSTAINABILITY IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION
Leontina Be?ianu
CES Working Papers , 2009,
Abstract: Sustainability tends to become in the new millennium the most important characteristic of economic and social development. The possibility to ensure economic development in the context of a reasonable use of raw materials, energy and natural resources in general and to decrease the impact of all human activities on the environment makes the essence of the sustainable development of these activities.
Global attractivity without stability for Liénard type systems
Marian Mure an
International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences , 2001, DOI: 10.1155/s0161171201010262
Abstract: We are concerned with some conditions such as the trivial solution of a planar system of differential equations (including the Liénard system) that is globally attractive but not stable. We emphasize the connection with some nonoscillatory conditions. The results are related to the previous ones obtained by Hara in 1993.
ELEMENTE DE INTERDISCIPLINARITATE N STUDIUL REGIONAL AL RII VRANCEI

Geographia Napocensis , 2011,
Abstract: Elements of interdisciplinarity in the regional study of the Vrancea Land. Pointing out specific elements of a land type region in Romania within a study of regional geography is a vast work. These regions being so complex, both regarding the component elements, as well as the processes and phenomena that are to be found at regional level, studying them means using interdisciplinary methods, or methods that are specific to other fields of research. This work has as purpose highlighting the connections that the regional geography has with other sciences and the way it can be influenced by those.

Abstract: To obtain concrete results in the health management through G.I.S. we are forced to resortto “spatial autocorrelation indices”. Moran Index and Geary's ratio has well definedstatistical properties to describe the global spatial autocorrelation. They are not effective inidentifying different types of models for meeting space. They are described as “hot spots”or “cold spots” sometimes. If high values are close to each other, the two local indexes willregister acceptable high positive spatial autocorrelation. These values can be classified ashot spots. The existing classification of Public Health Directorate of Bihor County was usedfor existing hospitals at the time of the study: clinical hospitals, municipal and cityhospitals, health centres and single-specialty hospitals. Each of those types of hospital wasincluded in the digital map layer.
LES PARTICULARITéS DES SéISMES DE VRANCEA
Alexandru MURE?AN
Geographia Napocensis , 2009,
Abstract: The particularities of the earthquakes in Vrancea. The unique seismicity of Vrancea resides from the concourse of conditionings in this area and is due especially to the great tectonic mobility. The frequency of seismic movements in Vrancea is high and they usually have an intermediary character. They frequently take place in the same seismic focus, but, fortunately, the catastrophic earthquakes do not have aftershocks. The careful surveillance of the epicentral area is a first step in predicting earthquakes and avoiding human loss in case a major seismic event is produced.
EVOLUTION OF TOURISM IN EUROPEAN CONTEXT
Maria MURE?AN
Revista de Turism : Studii si Cercetari in Turism , 2009,
Abstract: Tourism globalization requires seeking solutions to the problems that involves sustainable development. Tourism sustainable development should meet the present needs of tourists and regions that receive tourists, leaving open the gates to further development of tourism with the preservation of cultural and natural heritage for future generations. Romania, with an experience of over 2000 years in tourism activities, in present its improves the forms of tourism exercise, tourism infrastructure and is in the stage of adopting a strategy of tourist activities, taking into account the experience of advanced countries, the scientific developments from the large university and academics centres. Romania has universal opportunities, specific, unique in tourism development. Romania cannot (nor should) take to a model developed and used in other countries of the world. Romania has its own scientific and practical potential which to substantiate its own strategy, entirely original, which to apply through methods, also, fully specific. Such an orientation cannot be explained only by historical experience or by originality of geographical conditions, climate, traditions, customs, arts, culture, etc.
Le temps des croisades
Radu Mure?an
Journal for Communication and Culture , 2011,
Abstract: About time, much has been written and much more will be. The problem of time was discussed by philosophers, mathematicians, philologists, philosophers, men of the church, each looking in a different perspective, new and revolutionary at the beginning, futuristic and hypothetical today. The perspectives that we can approach time are almost limitless as does the way each of us, ordinary people or genius researchers of humanity, stands in relation to time. There is a time based on pre-established principles, which build upon the human senses, there is a solar time, a universal time and even a civil time. Through no fault, we can say that the civil time is, perhaps, the most complex since it encompasses a wide range of relationships over time. Thus, in most cases, time is a personal time but still subject to time "customary", that is to say, universal time, solar, accepted by human standards.
Dense Elements and Classes of Residuated Lattices
Claudia Mure?an
Mathematics , 2009,
Abstract: In this paper we study the dense elements and the radical of a residuated lattice, residuated lattices with lifting Boolean center, simple, local, semilocal and quasi-local residuated lattices. BL-algebras have lifting Boolean center; moreover, Glivenko residuated lattices which fulfill a certain equation (that is satisfied by BL-algebras) have lifting Boolean center.
Further Functorial Properties of the Reticulation
Claudia Mure?an
Mathematics , 2009,
Abstract: In this article we prove a set of preservation properties of the reticulation functor for residuated lattices (for instance preservation of subalgebras, finite direct products, inductive limits, Boolean powers) and we transfer certain properties between bounded distributive lattices and residuated lattices through the reticulation, focusing on Stone, strongly Stone and m-Stone algebras.
