Abstract: Retinol-binding proteins (RBPs) are a kind of circulating carrier proteins for serum and cellular retinol and retinol acid, which are lipid-soluble vitamins, and are members of hydrophobic binding protein family. Serum RBPs were synthesized primarily in liver, then was released into blood streams, and then to various tissues. Under the interaction with substances such as retinol, pre-albumin and the receptors of cellular surface, they play important roles in storage, metabolism of VitA and transport of VitA to the target cells. Cellular RBPs play the similar function as serum RBPs in intracell. This review introduces action mechanism, tissue localization and developmental expression of retinol-binding proteins. This review also introduces the structure, chromosome mapping and their relationships with reproductive performance of retinol-binding protein genes.

Abstract: Melatonin exerts its biological effects through pharmacological specific, high affinity G protein-coupled receptors. This review introduced the structure, function, and regulation of melatonin receptor,the cloning and structure, developmental expression, mapping and polymorphism of melatonin receptor gene. The relationship between melatonin receptor gene and reproductive seasonality was also discussed.

Abstract: During the last few years,advances in livestock genome projects have been remarkable.Species-specific genetic maps exist for pig,chicken,cattle,sheep,horse,and deer with marker intervals of 5 to 20 cM.These maps have been essential for the identification of genes and genetic markers associated with importantly economic traits in livestock.In this paper,advances of gene map,comparative map,the genes for importantly economic traits and quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping were briefly introduced in sheep.

Abstract: Friction and wear properties of surface nanocrystallization of medium carbon steel were studied in dry sliding by a ring-on-disc tester. The wear weight loss and friction coefficient variation of specimens were analyzed. Wear behavior of surface nanocrystallization of medium carbon steel was discussed by surface topography. The resuits show that the friction coefficient of surface nanocrystallization specimens was markedly decreased at applied loads between 10 and 60 N, and its wear weight loss was reduced at applied loads between 10 and 40 N. The ob- servation of the surface topography shows that the nanocrystallization layer may reduce the effect of fatigue wear and improve the friction and wear properties of medium carbon steel.
Salusin-β Not Salusin-α Promotes Vascular Inflammation in ApoE-Deficient Mice via the I-κBα/NF-κB Pathway

Abstract: Objective Vascular inflammation plays an important role in the development and progression of atherosclerosis. Recently, salusins (salusin-α and salusin-β) have been reported to be associated wtih atherosclerosis. However, its underlying mechanism remains incompletely known. In this study, we observed the effects of salusins on vascular inflammation in apoE-deficient (apoE-/-) mice. Methods and Results Six-week old male apoE-/- mice were infused with salusin-α, salusin-β or vehicle for 8 weeks via osmotic mini-pumps. Our results showed that apoE-/- mice receiving vehicle alone developed severe atherosclerotic lesions and dyslipidemia, with significantly up-regulated levels of IL-6, TNF-α, VCAM-1 and MCP-1. For apoE-/- mice receiving 8 weeks of salusin-β infusion, the atherosclerotic lesions were markedly aggravated, and the levels of IL-6, TNF-α, VCAM-1 and MCP-1 were substantially increased, despite a similar plasma lipid concentration with that of apoE-/- mice. However, after 8 week-infusion of salusin-α, apoE-/- mice presented significant amelioration in atherosclerotic lesions, along with remarkably up-regulated level of high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) and down-regulated levels of IL-6 and TNF-α, but without any effect on the expressions of VCAM-1 and MCP-1. Furthermore, the activation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), an important transcription factor essential for inflammatory molecules, and the degradation of I-κBα, an inhibitor of NF-κB, were markedly increased in apoE-/- mice receiving vehicle alone. Treatment with salusin-β not salusin-α could remarkably accelerate the process of NF-κB nuclear translocation and I-κBα degradation. Conclusion Salusin-β, but not salusin-α, promotes vascular inflammation in apoE-deficient mice via the I-κBα/NF-κB pathway. These findings provide further insight into the mechanism of salusins in atherosclerosis and potential targets for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis.
A Theoretical Strategy to Generate an Isolated 80-Attosecond Pulse

Abstract: Using a linearly polarized, phase-stabilized 2.66-femtosecond driving pulse of 400nm central wavelength orthogonally combined with another linearly polarized long pulse of 800nm central wavelength irradiating jointly on the helium atom, we demonstrate theoretically the generation of a clean isolated 80-attosecond pulse in the spectral region of 93-155 electron volts in a two-dimensional model.

Abstract: Using a linearly polarized, phase-stabilized 3-fs driving pulse of 800nm central wavelength shape-optimized on its ascending edge by its an amplitude-reduced pulse irradiating on a superposition state of the helium atom, we demonstrate theoretically the generation of a super strong isolated 176-attosecond pulse in the spectral region of 93-124eV. The unusually high intensity of this attosecond pulse is marked by the Rabi-like oscillations emerging in the time-dependent populations of the ground state and the continuum during the occurrence of the electron recombination, which is for the first time observed in this work.

Abstract: 24年田间定位试验研究表明,长期不施肥处理和化肥PK配施处理土壤表层N呈下降趋势,而施入化肥N处理(包括化肥N、化肥NP配施、化肥NK配施、化肥NPK配施处理)N增加较缓慢,有机与无机肥结合处理土壤表层N增加迅速。以长期不施肥为对照,长期有机肥 NPK处理水稻增产最多,达35.94%。随着N肥的逐年施入,土壤表层全N含量与产量间由显著正相关关系变为相关性不显著。
