CARACTERIZACIóN DE LAS CONDICIONES HIGIéNICO SANITARIAS Y MICROBIOLóGICAS DE LOS PUNTOS OPERATIVOS DEL PROGRAMA NACIONAL DE ALIMENTACIóN AL ADULTO MAYOR PNAAM ICBF 2007

Abstract: background. the colombian elderly food programme (programa nacional de alimentación al adulto mayor - pnaam) emerged as a strategy from a development plan called ?towards a community state, 2002-2006? aimed at mitigating hunger and improving the nutritional state of this poor and vulnerable population by supplying two types of food supplement: an already prepared portion (app) and a portion needing to be prepared (pnbp). objective. identifying the factors causing deterioration in the quality and harmlessness of the food being offered in the app; this could represent a hazard of food-borne disease (fbd) for the beneficiaries. materials and methods. a descriptive study was made which analysed the hygienic/sanitary conditions of 603 national operating/distribution points and the pertinent microbiological results. the variables being studied were characterised by screening 25,285 items of data from two databases prepared by this programme's technical staff. results. all the departments supplying app had hygienic/sanitary conditions facilitating biological hazards for the food which they were preparing. samples were found which were contaminated by pathogenous microorganisms beyond the established quality indicator parameters. conclusion. unfavourable technical conditions for producing food were found and the microbiological results revealed contamination in prepared food and water. the programme's operators (during its execution) initiated improvement plans recommended by programme auditing aimed at reducing biological hazards in the food chain.

Abstract: Antecedentes. El Programa Nacional de Alimentación al Adulto Mayor PNAAM surgió como estrategia del Plan de Desarrollo "Hacia un Estado comunitario 2002 - 2006", para mitigar el hambre y mejorar el estado nutricional de esta población en condición de pobreza y vulnerabilidad a través del suministro de un complemento alimentario en dos modalidades, ración preparada (RP) y ración para preparar (RPP). Objetivo. Identificar los factores que ocasionan el deterioro de la calidad e inocuidad de los alimentos ofrecidos en la ración preparada que pueden representar un peligro de Enfermedad Transmitida por Alimentos ETA para los beneficiarios. Materiales y métodos. Se efectúo un estudio descriptivo donde se analizaron las condiciones higiénico sanitarias de 603 puntos de operación nacional y los resultados microbiológicos. A partir de dos bases de datos elaboradas por la interventoría técnica a este programa, se tamizaron 25.285 datos que permitieron caracterizar las variables estudiadas. Resultados. Todos los departamentos que suministraron la modalidad RP, presentaron condiciones higiénico sanitarias que favorecieron el peligro biológico para los alimentos que se manufacturaron. Se encontraron muestras contaminadas con microorganismos patógenos por fuera de los parámetros establecidos indicador de calidad. Conclusión. Existen condiciones técnicas desfavorables para la producción de alimentación y los resultados microbiológicos obtenidos muestran contaminación en alimentos preparados y aguas. Los operadores del programa, durante su ejecución, iniciaron planes de mejoramiento recomendados por la interventoría, que disminuyó el peligro biológico en la cadena alimentaria. Background. Abstract: summary in colombia the educational formation has been regulated by competitions and this context makes reference to the mobilization of knowledge and skills in diverse areas that are combined to solve problems and to produce new wisdom. the objective of this research was to identify the perception of the infirmary student, in front of the formation by competitions in the academic programs of the professional area and the existing correlation with the result obtained in the state qualification examinations (ecaes). a co relational and evaluative descriptive study, in which an instrument was applied that measured the perception of the student regarding its formation, the results of final notes of each of the academic programs denominated "infirmary care taking" and the results of the ecaes obtained by the students of the last academic year. the data analysis showed differences between the average perception of the students about the grades reached within the academic programs and the average obtained in the test of competitions designed by acofaen-icfes. the students consider to be prepared to face the labour world, although in the examination of valuation by competitions of the higher education, the average obtained did not correspond to the perceptive valuation of fulfilment. a direct proportional relation between the general average of the students and the points of ecaes was found. thus, students with high averages in the faculty also showed high points in the state qualification examination.

Abstract: during clinical practice the teaching nurse is doomed to act in situations that involve making ethical decisions in front of the patient and be responsible for the consequences of this decision. the objective of the research was to determine the more frequent implications in which the infirmary professional is involved in hospitals, while supervising the student practice in the city of bogotá. research on this topic is scars, taking into account that this subject becomes, every time, more and more important in the professional exercise. as a tool for data collecting, a semi-structured interview was designed and recordings of experiences by the participant professionals were made. the results determined that the implications most frequently faces by the teacher in the places of practice are of ethical type; no penal denunciation, before the court of ethics of infirmary, followed by a sanction or the dismissal, withdrawal of the professional card or indemnification of prejudices was presented. the situations confronted by students with the care subject generate experience in moral reasoning and in the importance of values for the taking of ethical decisions. the necessity to establish a continuous communication within the institutions, where the practice is realized, will allow a proper coordination of the attention of the care subject and a consensus in the decision making, when required by the situation.

Abstract: Durante la práctica clínica, la Enfermera Docente se ve abocada a actuar en situaciones que implican la toma de decisiones éticas frente al paciente y de responder por las consecuencias de la decisión. El objetivo de la investigación, fue determinar las implicaciones deontológicas más frecuentes en las que se ve involucrado el profesional de Enfermería, en el ejercicio de la docencia, al supervisar la práctica clínica de estudiantes, en la ciudad de Bogotá. Son escasas las investigaciones que se encuentran al respecto, si se tiene en cuenta que es un tema que cada vez cobra mayor importancia en la práctica profesional. Como instrumento de recolección, se dise ó una entrevista semiestructurada y grabaciones de experiencias relatadas por los profesionales participantes. Los resultados determinaron que las implicaciones, a las que con mayor frecuencia se enfrentan los docentes, son de tipo ético, no se presentó ninguna denuncia penal ante el tribunal de ética de Enfermería, en la que se hubiese impuesto como sanción la destitución, el retiro de la tarjeta profesional o la indemnización de perjuicios. Las situaciones que vive el estudiante con el Sujeto de Cuidado, le generan experiencia en el razonamiento moral y en la importancia de los valores, para la toma de decisiones éticas. Se evidencia la necesidad de establecer una comunicación contínua con las Instituciones en los escenarios de práctica, que permita coordinar la atención del Sujeto de Cuidado y un consenso en la toma de decisiones, cuando la situación lo requiera. Abstract: RESUMEN En Colombia la formación en la educación se ha reglamentado por competencias y es así que este texto hace referencia a la movilización de saberes y destrezas en diversas áreas que se combinan para resolver problemas y producir nuevos conocimientos. El objetivo fue identificar la percepción del estudiante de Enfermería frente a la formación por competencias, en los programas académicos del área profesional y la correlación existente con el resultado obtenido en los exámenes de calidad del estado (ECAES). Se realizó un estudio descriptivo correlacional y evaluativo en el que se aplicó un instrumento que midió la percepción del estudiante sobre su formación, los resultados de las notas finales de cada uno de los programas académicos de Cuidado de Enfermería y los resultados del ECAES obtenidos por los estudiantes de último a o. El análisis, arrojó una diferencia entre el promedio de percepción de los estudiantes sobre los logros alcanzados en los programas académicos y el promedio obtenido en la prueba de competencias, dise ada por ACOFAENICFES. Los estudiantes consideran estar preparados para enfrentar el mundo laboral, aunque en el examen de valoración, por competencias de la educación superior, el promedio no corresponde a la apreciación perceptiva de cumplimiento de logro. Se encontró una relación directamente proporcional entre el promedio general del estudiante y el puntaje de ECAES. Es así, como los estudiantes con altos promedios en la Facultad también mostraron altos puntajes en la prueba de estado. Abstract: this article comprises of the investigation line "construction of identity processes in the organizations", of the investigation group of work and organizations psychology of the psychology faculty of the santo tomás university, which looks for the construction of contextual processes, that allow in the organizations, to think its ways of identity generation and belongs to sense. it examines in a partial way the conceptualizations about the formation process in this ambit, as well as its systematic exposition analyzed from different authors. the primary intention is to present a proposal of this process based in the permanent education, the competitions approach, the learning management, and starting off of a behavioral direction of psychology. for it a brief count of the implied processes is exposed, also a documentary sample of the formation to finalize with the proposal.
Factores asociados con los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria en estudiantes universitarios en Cali, Colombia

Abstract: introduction: there are few studies about eating disorders (ed) in adolescents and young adults in latin america. moreover, socio-demographic characteristics of university students suggest they may experience cases of ed in a percentage greater than general population’s one. objective: to determine the percentage of students with high risk of developing altered eating behaviours, and to estimate the prevalence of ed in that population. additionally, to examine factors associated with a positive outcome in a screening test for ed. methods: a cross-sectional study was conducted in 174 students of first and second year of medicine at universidad del valle (cali, colombia), who completed a self-reported questionnaire with the test for evaluation of eating behaviour (eev). results: the 39.7% of students had positive scores in the eev (>24), which is indicative of high risk of suffering an eating disorder (ed); with a 2/1 woman/man ratio and an estimated prevalence of ed of 44.1% in women and of 9.6% in men. the associated factors for positive outcomes in the eev are female gender (or: 2.74 ci95%: 1.29-5.85), desire for losing more than 10% of body weight (or: 24.65 ci95%: 1.92-316.91), and interaction between the last factor and the desired percentage of weight loss (or: 0.81 ci95%: 0.66-0.98). there is a qualitative interaction between the direction of desired weight loss and other variables in the model. discussion and conclusions: the eev identifies different kinds of ed which should be differentiated by additional questions. the estimated prevalence of ed shows that it is an important problem in the university community, which should be tackled by means of different prevention, early detection and treatment strategies.
Factores asociados con los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria en estudiantes universitarios en Cali, Colombia

Abstract: Introducción: Existen pocos estudios de trastornos alimentarios en adolescentes y adultos jóvenes en América Latina. Las características sociodemográficas de los estudiantes universitarios permiten suponer que existen casos de trastornos del comportamiento alimentario (TCA) en un porcentaje mayor al de la población general.Objetivo: Determinar la cifra relativa de estudiantes con alta probabilidad de padecer algún tipo de TCA, y a partir de los datos, estimar la prevalencia en la población universitaria. Además, evaluar los factores asociados con el resultado positivo en una nueva prueba de filtro para los TCA.Metodología: Se realizó un estudio transversal en un grupo de 174 estudiantes de medicina de la Universidad del Valle (Cali, Colombia), a quienes se aplicó un cuestionario auto-diligenciado con la encuesta de evaluación del comportamiento alimentario (ECA). Resultados: Hubo 39.7% de estudiantes con puntajes positivos en la prueba (puntaje >24), cifra que indica una alta probabilidad de desarrollar algún TCA; con una relación mujer:hombre de 2:1; y una prevalencia estimada de 44.1% en mujeres y 9.6% en hombres. Los factores asociados con un resultado positivo en la ECA fueron el género femenino (OR: 2.74 IC95%: 1.29.5.85), el querer disminuir más de 10% del peso corporal (OR: 24.65 IC95%: 1.92-316.91) y la interacción entre este factor y el porcentaje deseado de disminución de peso (OR: 0.81 IC95%: 0.66-0.98). Existe una interacción cualitativa entre la dirección del deseo de cambio de peso y otras variables del modelo. La ECA identifica diferentes tipos de TCA.Discusión y conclusiones: La ECA identifica diferentes tipos de TCA que se deben diferenciar con preguntas adicionales. La prevalencia estimada indica que los TCA son un problema importante en la comunidad universitaria, que se debe intervenir mediante diferentes estrategias de prevención, detección temprana y tratamiento.

Abstract: the region of the americas, with a homicide rate of 16.4 per 100,000 population (2004), is the second most violent region in the world, but public policy-making for the prevention of violence and crime is hampered by the absence of reliable and comparable data on the problem's various manifestations. this paper describes a 14-country initiative, sponsored by the inter-american development bank in part-nership with other regional agencies, to develop-collectively and by consensus- indicators for peaceful coexistence and citizen security that permit comparisons among countries, systematization of methods for the production and collection of pertinent data, the development of regional policies, and the dissemination and sharing of good practices. the selected indicators were homicide, death from road traffic injuries, suicide, death by firearm, sexual crime, family violence, child abuse, robbery, theft, vehicle theft and robbery, abduction, traffic offenses committed while under the influence of alcohol, general victimization, victimization by theft, victimization by robbery, perception of insecurity, perception of fear, confidence in institutions, and justification of the use of violence. for each indicator, agreement was reached on the type of measurement and the minimum variables that should be taken into account to have appropriate criteria for comparison.
