The Relationship between Professional Identity and Career Maturity among Pre-Service Kindergarten Teachers: The Mediating Effect of Learning Engagement  [PDF]

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the mediating role of leaning engagement in the relationship between professional identity and career maturity. Methods: 711 pre-service kindergarten teachers completed the Professional Identification Scale, the College Students’ Career Maturity Questionnaire and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-student. Results: 1) There are significant difference in professional identity and career maturity on grades, different level of parents’ education and whether part-time work. 2) Professional identity, career maturity, and learning engagement were significantly correlated with each other. 3) Career maturity partially mediated the relationship between professional identity and learning engagement. Conclusion: Professional identity directly influences learning engagement, and also influences learning engagement through the partial mediating effects of career maturity.

Abstract: The number of electronic commerce (e-commerce) transactions has grown extraordinarily with widespread Internet usage. The right to privacy is particularly important in e-commerce. Recently, the privacy protection for consumer transactions has become more and more important in e-commerce. This paper aims to develop the study on the legislation of e-commerce consumer rights protection. It is a comparative study on relevant regulations of the right to privacy in European Union, the United States, and Japan. The most representative policy might be the Data Protection Directive in the EU, which not only regulates the principle for e-commerce consumer right to privacy protection, but also lays out specific criteria to be abided. The current status and existing problems in China are also analyzed and some suggestions are made to improve the legal system of right to privacy. The paper identifies directions for the future development of the privacy protection from a legal perspective.
Japanese New Patent Law: Lessons for China  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, I systematically analyze the new Japanese Patent Law and make a comparative study on Chinese and Japanese Patent Law to shed a new light on the improvement of the legal system of intellectual property in China. To begin with, I review the historical development of Japanese Patent Law and the modern patent legal system in Japan. Next, the aim and contents of the latest revision of Japanese Patent Law are described. I also pay close attention to the issues remaining unresolved. Regarding the problems faced by Chinese Patent Law, I identify the lessons that China could learn from Japanese New Patent Law. Finally, I suggest that there are still some unresolved issues in Chinese Patent Law even after learning from the new Japanese Patent Law.

Abstract: In this paper I turn to different conceptions of interest. There are several theories in the field of political philosophy about what interest is and therefore several conceptions of interest exist. Three pairs of interest are clarified: interest as welfare and interest as resource, reflective interest and volitional interest, public interest and private interest. Especially, interests in compulsory licenses are also described, which are including compulsory licenses and the conceptions of interest, diversity of interests and interest in pharmaceutical industry. By these analyses, we can see interests in compulsory licenses in general and in pharmaceutical industry.
Effect of Professional Satisfaction on Learning Engagement in Undergraduates Majoring in Preschool Education: Mediating Role of Professional Commitment  [PDF]

Abstract: Objective: To explore the influence mechanism of the professional satisfaction of preschool education majors undergraduate on Study Engagement. Methods: 750 subjects were investigated by using professional satisfaction questionnaire, professional commitment questionnaire and learning engagement questionnaire. Results: 1) College students majoring in preschool education professional satisfaction and professional commitment are in the middle level, but a higher degree of learning engagement; 2) For undergraduates of preschool education professional satisfaction, learning engagement and the level of professional commitment have significant effects on the academic achievement; 3) There is a significant positive correlation among professional satisfaction, professional commitment and learning engagement. Conclusion: The professional commitment mediated the effect of the professional satisfaction on learning engagement of preschool education college students.
Trend in the atmospheric heat source over the central and eastern Tibetan Plateau during recent decades: Comparison of observations and reanalysis data

Abstract: The trend in the atmospheric heat source over the central and eastern Tibetan Plateau (CE-TP) is quantitatively estimated using historical observations at 71 meteorological stations, three reanalysis datasets from 1980–2008, and two satellite radiation datasets from 1984–2007. Results show that a weakening of sensible heat (SH) flux over the CE-TP continues. The most significant trend occurs in spring, induced mainly by decelerated surface wind speeds. The ground-air temperature difference shows a notable increasing trend over the last 5 years. Trends in net radiation flux of the atmospheric column over the CE-TP, evaluated by two satellite radiation datasets, are clearly different. Trends in the atmospheric heat source calculated by the three reanalysis datasets are not completely consistent, and even show opposite signals. Results from the two datasets both show a weakening of the heat source but the magnitude of one is significantly stronger, whereas an increase is indicated by the other data. Therefore, it is challenging to accurately calculate the trend in the atmospheric heat source over the CE-TP, particularly from the estimates of the reanalysis datasets.
Application of Radar-Measured Rain Data in Hydrological Processes Modeling during the Intensified Observation Period of HUBEX

Abstract: On the basis of Digital Elevation Model data, the raster flow vectors, watershed delineation, and spatial topological relationship are generated by the Martz and Garbrecht method for the upper area of Huangnizhuang station in the Shihe Catchment with 805 km2 of area, an intensified observation field for the HUBEX/GAME Project. Then, the Xin'anjiang Model is applied for runoff production in each grid element where rain data measured by radar at Fuyang station is utilized as the input of the hydrological model. The elements are connected by flow vectors to the outlet of the drainage catchment where runoff is routed by the Muskingum method from each grid element to the outlet according to the length between each grid and the outlet. The Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency coefficient is 92.41% from 31 May to 3 August 1998, and 85.64%, 86.62%, 92.57%, and 83.91%, respectively for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th flood events during the whole computational period. As compared with the case where rain-gauge data are used in simulating the hourly hydrograph at Huangnizhuang station in the Shihe Catchment, the index of model efficiency improvement is positive, ranging from 27.56 % to 69.39 %. This justifies the claim that radar-measured data are superior to rain-gauge data as inputs to hydrological modeling. As a result, the grid-based hydrological model provides a good platform for runoff computation when radar-measured rain data with highly spatiotemporal resolution are taken as the input of the hydrological model.
The N2pc Is Increased by Perceptual Learning but Is Unnecessary for the Transfer of Learning

Abstract: Background Practice improves human performance in many psychophysical paradigms. This kind of improvement is thought to be the evidence of human brain plasticity. However, the changes that occur in the brain are not fully understood. Methodology/Principal Findings The N2pc component has previously been associated with visuo-spatial attention. In this study, we used event-related potentials (ERPs) to investigate whether the N2pc component changed during long-term visual perceptual learning. Thirteen subjects completed several days of training in an orientation discrimination task, and were given a final test 30 days later. The results showed that behavioral thresholds significantly decreased across training sessions, and this decrement was also present in the untrained visual field. ERPs showed training significantly increased the N2pc amplitude, and this effect could be maintained for up to 30 days. However, the increase in N2pc was specific to the trained visual field. Conclusion/Significance Training caused spatial attention to be increasingly focused on the target positions. However, this process was not transferrable from the trained to the untrained visual field, which suggests that the increase in N2pc may be unnecessary for behavioral improvements in the untrained visual field.
Characterizations and Analysis of the Mold from Animal Specimens in Shenzhen Museum  [PDF]

Biological specimens play an important role in cultural exchange, science popularization, scientific research and economic window, but the preparation and preservation technology system of biological specimens is relatively unsafe and inefficient. Mold grows seriously on animal specimens, which is not only harmful to human beings’ health and environment, but also is one of the factors that restricts the development of the natural history museums where these specimens are kept. This paper identified the mold species of animal specimens by PCR with ITS primers, bio-micro-scopic observation, sequencing and phylogenetic tree analysis. The results showed the mold of animal specimens mainly belonged to Aspergillus and Neurospora. This study established the foundations of controlling and restoring the mold that infected animal specimens and guided a new methodology of preparation and environmental friendly exhibition for animal specimens.

For a class of (1 + 2)-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equations, classical symmetry algebra is found and 1-dimensional optimal system, up to conjugacy, is constructed. Its symmetry reductions are performed for each class, and someexamples of exact invainvariant solutions are given.
