European Journal of Cardiovascular Medicine , 2012,
Abstract: ABSTRACTDual coronary artery fistulae (CAF) involving both right and left coronary trees are uncommon; accounting for only 5% of all CAFs. A 48-year-old male patient was admitted to our institution for evaluation of chest pain. The coronary angiography revealed fistulae from left main coronary artery (LMCA) and right coronary artery (RCA) to the pulmonary artery. We concluded that angina pectoris was caused by a steal phenomenon and the patient was recommended surgical intervention. To our knowledge, this is the first paper reporting three fistulae associated with multiple aneurysms originating from proximal coronary arteries, which were connected to the pulmonary artery.

Anadolu Kardiyoloji Dergisi , 2012,
Abstract: Objective: We aimed to evaluate effect of termination property of left anterior descending (LAD) on tissue Doppler echocardiography (TDE) parameters in patients experiencing their first anterior myocardial infarction (AMI) who had undergone successful primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)Methods: A prospective, cross-sectional observational study was performed. Eighty-four patients were enrolled in the study. Echocardiography was performed during the first three days of AMI. Conventional TDE measurements were obtained from right ventricular (RV) and four left ventricular (LV) walls: for the systolic function - mitral annular TDE systolic velocity - Sm, for diastolic function - mitral annular TDE early and late diastolic velocities - Em, Am, transmitral early and late diastolic velocities ratio - E/A, and combined systolic and diastolic function - myocardial performance index (MPI). Coronary arteries were evaluated and patients were divided into two groups (non-wrapped LAD and wrapped LAD) according to the termination properties. Student-t, Mann-Whitney U and Chi-square tests, bivariate Pearson and Spearman correlation analyses were used for statistical analysis. Results: Baseline characteristics and conventional echocardiographic parameters of the patients were similar. There was a statistically significant difference for the anterior wall Sm parameter, whereas there was no substantial difference for Em, Am and MPI values. The anterior wall Sm was more affected in patients with non wrapped LAD than in patients with wrapped LAD (6.70±1.66 and 7.44±1.66 cm/s; p=0.036,).The anterior Sm parameter was uniquely correlated with LAD termination status when compared with other independent parameters (r=0.236, p=0.036). Conclusion: We showed that termination of LAD is important for the anterior wall systolic functions in the early stage of AMI treated successfully.
THE WOMAN CLOTHES FROM TRABZON-A ASAR

Zeitschrift für die Welt der Türken , 2010,
Abstract: Clothing is as visual communication a part of the social life. In the life the use of the clothing with work, everyday life or celebration has very close relationship between the clothing and communication. The woman clothing of A asar, which stands western part of Trabzon, is the adjustment of the tradition and modernizing. The main piece of the rural and regional clothing builds itself this new solemn costume up into last operational sequence. These newly fashionable clothes are a product of the rural clothing. That is communication, where the Yayla celebration and wedding used clothing of the women from Trabzon alpazar develop from the relationship tradition and new.
THE LEVEL OF THE PRIMARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS’ ETHIC LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOR
Mehmet Akif HELVACI
Zeitschrift für die Welt der Türken , 2010,
Abstract: The aim of this research is to state primary shool administrators` ethic behaviours according to teachers` opinions. Ethic Leadership Scale developed by Y lmaz (2005) was used to collect the data for the research. The population of the research is teachers working in primary schools in U ak province and it`s districts (Banaz, Ulubey, Sivasl ). According to the opinions of the teachers who participated in this research, it can be seen that primary school administrators` ethic leadership shows behaviours at a middle level in the communicative ethic, decisional ethic in organizations, behavioral ethic and climatical ethic dimensions.

Advances in Physical Education (APE) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ape.2012.24029
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to measure and compare the physical and bio motor characteristics of male and female Turkish ice hockey players. Structural and functional differences depending on the gender were investigated. Altogether, 17 male and 20 female athletes from the city of Erzurum voluntarily participated in the study. The physical measurements of each player were recorded and then isometric strength, reaction time and flexibility were measured. Statistically, t-test analysis was independently used to compare the two groups. The results of the study showed the average weight and height of male athletes were higher than those of females, despite the fact that was lower. The average isometric leg, back and handgrip strength of male athletes were also significantly higher than those of females (p < 0.01). In the sit and reach test, females were better than those males (p < 0.01), while average body flexibility measurements of males are statistically higher than those of females (p < 0.05). There was no significant difference between two groups in vertical jump measurements. The average anaerobic capacity of males was significantly higher than those of females (p < 0.01). However, there was no significant difference in the average hand reaction time between two groups. Regular measurement of physical and functional characteristics of athletes is important not only in the talent identification of athletes but also in the understanding the gender related structural and functional differences as well as in the regulation of training programs.
Coronary-Cameral Fistula with Angina Pectoris
Mehmet Akif Cakar,Ersan Tatli
Case Reports in Medicine , 2010, DOI: 10.1155/2010/362532
Abstract: Coronary-cameral fistula (CCF) is an anomalous connection between a coronary artery and cardiac chamber. Most of CCFs are discovered incidentally during angiographic evaluation for coronary vascular disorder. We report a case of CCF with angina pectoris. Selective coronary arteriography revealed diffuse CCF involving the left anterior descending artery (LAD) emptying into left ventricle (LV) and showed significant two-vessel coronary artery stenosis.
Investigation of college students’ intrinsic motivation in project based learning

International Journal of Human Sciences , 2010,
Abstract: The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of project-based learning on the students' intrinsic motivation in a college level course. Research using qualitative and quantitative techniques together was conducted within a period of 14 weeks. As a means of data collection, Kempler (2006)'s adaptation of the Internal Motivation Measurement Survey was used for the quantitative research. Besides, a questionnaire consisting of open-ended questions related to intrinsic motivation components were conducted for the qualitative part. Research results revealed that there was a positive and significant relationship between components of the learning environment and interest. Also, a moderate and significant relationship was found between components of the learning environment and cognitive engagement. Findings indicated that there was no meaningful relationship between components of the learning environment and academic efficacy. The important results from the study showed that courses will be treated as project-based learning needs careful design and good way of planning. Prepared learning environment was seen as a social learning environment by the students. Academic pressure on students occurred very often and development of information exchange was observed more frequently.
Conformal semi-invariant submersions

Mathematics , 2015,
Abstract: As a generalization of semi-invariant submersions, we introduce conformal semi-invariant submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We give examples, investigate the geometry of foliations which are arisen from the definition of a conformal submersion and show that there are certain product structures on the total space of a conformal semi-invariant submersion. Moreover, we also check the harmonicity of such submersions and find necessary and sufficient conditions of a conformal semi-invariant submersion to be totally geodesic.

Abstract: We introduce conformal anti-invariant submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We give examples, investigate the geometry of foliations which are arisen from the definition of a conformal submersion and find necessary and sufficient conditions for a conformal anti-invariant submersion to be totally geodesic. We also check the harmonicity of such submersions and show that the total space has certain product structures. Moreover, we obtain curvature relations between the base space and the total space, and find geometric implications of these relations.
