LOS EFECTOS DE LA TELEVISIóN SOBRE EL COMPORTAMIENTO DE LAS AUDIENCIAS JóVENES DESDE LA PERSPECTIVA DE LA CONVERGENCIA Y DE LAS PRáCTICAS CULTURALES

Abstract: the existing relation between the consumption of television and the behavior of the children and adolescents has been a topic of interest for different sciences implied in the analysis and intervention on the collective social behavior. although a definitive answer does not exist, the evidence demonstrates that television has important effects on the aggressive behavior, but questions subsist about the conditions under which these effects appear. since one is a global social phenomenon, the relation between televising media and the behavior of the viewers extends the analysis and intervention of the individual behavior, so that it becomes necessary to use a more integrating and interdisciplinary frame to explain and to predict the effects. of such form, this article reviews the positive evidence of the hypothesis of injurious effects of the television, shows a more integrating frame to include and understand the effect of televising media from the perspective of the cultural practices and explains the social effects of the television from the analysis of the convergence.

Abstract: El presente artículo analiza el problema de la EA (educación ambiental) para el desarrollo de comportamientos sustentables desde el marco de las prácticas culturales. Desde esta perspectiva, se analizan los factores infraestructurales que contribuyen al desarrollo de las problemáticas ambientales y se relacionan con los aspectos estructurales de la cultura que actúan determinando el contexto en el que ocurre la interacción de los individuos con su entorno ambiental. Se analiza específicamente el caso colombiano en cuanto a la configuración de macrocontingencias y metacontingencias para el comportamiento sustentable, y finalmente, se conceptualiza la EA como un proceso que ocurre en diferentes espacios sociales más allá de las Instituciones Escolares.

Abstract: this study was designed to identify the relationship between video and computer games use on attention, memory, academic performance and problems behavior in school children in bogotá. memory and attention were assessed using a set of different scales of eni battery (matute, rosselli, ardila, & os-trosky-solís, 2007). for academic performance, school newsletters were used. behavioral problems were assessed through the cbcl / 6 -18 questionnaire (child behavior checklist) of (achenbach & edelbrock, 1983). 123 children and 99 parents were enrolled in 2 factorial design experimental studies. the results did not support the hypothesis of a significant change in memory tests, or intra-subject selective visual and hearing attention. however, these variables showed significant differences among children exposed to habitual videogames consumption. no differences were found between the level of regular video games consumption in school children and academic performance variables or behavioral problems.
ANáLISIS DEL COMPORTAMIENTO DE COMPRA EN UN CONTEXTO EXPERIMENTAL SIMULADO

Abstract: el objetivo del presente estudio fue identificar los efectos del escenario de consumo (foxall, 2007) y el nivel de reforzamiento informacional (foxall, 2005) sobre la probabilidad de ocurrencia de la conducta de compra. en el estudio participaron 56 personas entre los 18 a los 22 a?os de edad, 26 hombres y 30 mujeres, seleccionados mediante muestreo por conveniencia. se dise?ó un aplicativo web que emuló condiciones de compra tipo tienda virtual y se realizó un análisis funcional mediante un modelo logit de rl (regresión logística) para calcular los efectos individuales y grupales de las variables independientes de la investigación. los resultados del estudio indican que hay diferencias significativas en las predicciones realizadas con modelos logit bivariados y modelos logit multivariados de los efectos del escenario de consumo y el reforzamiento informacional, sobre la probabilidad de ocurrencia de la conducta de compra. así mismo, los resultados indican que dichos efectos pueden ser interpretados en el marco de una perspectiva operante de la conducta simbólica.
BUYING BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS IN A SIMULATED EXPERIMENTAL CONTEXT

Abstract: The aim of this study was to identify the effects of the consumption scenario(Foxall, 2007) and the level of informational reinforcement (Foxall, 2005) on theprobability of buying behavior. The study involved 56 people between 18 to 20years of age selected through intentional sampling. We designed a web applicationthat emulated conditions of purchase in a virtual store. Functional analysiswas performed using a logit model of LR (logistic regression) to calculate individualand group effects of independient variables. Results indicate that there aresignificant differences in predictions performed with bivariate and multivariatelogit models of the effects of consumption scenario and informational reinforcementon the probability of buying behavior. These effects can be interpreted in thecontext of an operant perspective of symbolic behavior.
