Moreira Preciado,Marisela; Díaz Almeida,José G.; Pérez López,Aylet; Colomé Escobar,Magaly;
Revista Cubana de Medicina , 2000,
Abstract: the case of a 74-year-old patient with pityriasis rubra pilaris of 10 years of evolution was presented. it was observed that the skin disease was associated with rheumatoid arthritis, which made the authors think about the possible etiologic role played by the immunological factors in pityriasis rubra pilaris. a bladder papillary carcinoma, mutiple seborrheic keratosis, a laryngeal bening tumor, basal carcinomas and a keratoacanthoma appeared during its evolution. the patient received treatment with methotrexate, but it was not successful for its prp. a good response was observed with etretinate

Moreira Preciado,Marisela; Díaz Almeida,José G.; Moredo Romo,Edelisa;
Revista Cubana de Medicina , 2003,
Abstract: some aspects on lichen sclerosus et atrophicus (lsa) were updated and the results of the clinicoepidemiological study conducted among 12 patients with extragenital lichen sclerosus et atrophicus were presented. al l the reviewed cases corresponded to white individuals and the highest incidence was observed in women over 40. the most frequent localization of the injuries was the thorax.
Pioderma gangrenoso vegetante asociado con insuficiencia renal
Moreira Preciado,Marisela; Díaz Almeida,José G.; Pérez López,Aylet;
Revista Cubana de Medicina Tropical , 2001,
Abstract: a case report was presented in which a patient developed vegetative pyoderma gangrenosum that was concomitant with acute renal failure; this led to the critical condition of the patient. he was initially treated with systemic antibiotics because his clinical picture was considered to be pyodermitis, but the response was unsatisfactory. after being treated with levamizol and alfa interferon, an improvement in his general condition and skin lesions was observed. then surgical exeresis was successfully performed, with skin self-grafting in the face and penis lesions. pyoderma gangrenosum lesions relapsed but they were treated with prednisone, and then there was a rapid elimination of lesions every time they came up.

Se obtuvo una buena respuesta con el etretinato The case of a 74-year-old patient with pityriasis rubra pilaris of 10 years of evolution was presented.
Some aspects on lichen sclerosus et atrophicus (LSA) were updated and the results of the clinicoepidemiological study conducted among 12 patients with extragenital lichen sclerosus et atrophicus were presented. Detection of cocaine in hair and urine samples from inmates under probation using available methodologies at Toxicology′s Laboratory, Bioanalysis′s School, UCV
Marisela Díaz Tremarias
RETEL : Revista de Toxicología en Línea , 2008,
Abstract: Traditionally the toxicological analysis for the detection of drugs is realized in urine. This matrix presents limitations that can be overcome by the advantages of the hair as an alternative sample: wide window of detection, impossibility of adulteration, easy transport and storage, among others. To evaluate the usefulness of the existing methodologies in the laboratory of Toxicology of Bioanalysis′s School UCV to detect cocaine in hair constitutes the goal of this research. Analysis of 22 urines and 15 inmates' hair samples under probation assigned to Centro Francisco Canestri, Caracas, were made by Competitive Immunoassay (CI), Ultraviolet′s Spectrophotometry (UV) and Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). Of positive urine′s cases by methodologies studied, only three subjects gave hair′s samples and from these only one was positive by CI and UV. It’s concludes that these methods allow cocaine′s hair detection, none of the cases by TLC that it needs higher concentration of the substance. To repeat the experience in a greater number of subjects with record of known consumption would be advisable.
Utilización de videos didácticos como innovación en la ense?anza de la toxicología: an innovatory tool in Toxicology teaching
Díaz Tremarias,Marisela; Noriega Velásquez,Teresa;
Educaci?3n M??dica Superior , 2009,
Abstract: objective: to assess the usefulness of didactic video as a innovative strategy in toxicology teaching process. methods: authors established the knowledge of 48 students of this matter after magisterial classes and of presentation of 3 videos of drugs and brain series corresponding to following topics: cocaine, alcohol, and marijuana using the pretest and posttest tools, designed ad hoc to assess its effectiveness in learning improvement compared with results from both procedures. results: right answer percentage after magisterial class is of 59% for cocaine and of 66% for alcohol and marijuana versus 89% and 93%, respectively, after video presentation. conclusions: magisterial class is not enough to learning achievement, the video was more efficacious for this purpose; however, it lack of effectiveness in complex cognitive features or those related to values and cultural features involving the taking of drugs.

Educaci?3n M??dica Superior , 2009,
