Arroyave-Quintero,Mario Andrés;
Papel Politico , 2008,
Abstract: andean integration is characterized by the absence of a political will on the part of member countries to abide by what has been consented upon, which precludes the fulfillment of the objectives and goals set in the cartagena agreement. political discord among governments, as well as constant breaches, weaken the institutions and the community law that sustain integration. this article approaches the juridical problems of the process of integration arising from the states’ policy to give primacy to the position of governments instead of contributing to the development and consolidation of a supranational organization capable of stabilizing the region and bringing closer the possibility of establishing a common market in which full respect for and the efficacy of community law prevail.
Levels of physical activity, barriers, and stage of change in an urban population from a municipality in Colombia
Arango,Elkin Fernando; Pati?o,Fredy Alonso; Quintero,Mario Andrés; Arenas,Mónica María;
Colombia Médica , 2011,
Abstract: objective: to assess the levels of physical activity, barriers, and stage of change in an urban population 25 to 50 years of age from the municipality of santa rosa de osos, department of antioquia. materials and methods: a prevalence study was conducted, with a two-stage random sampling among 357 individuals not suffering from any known cardiovascular disease. a pre-designed survey was conducted to assess the levels of physical activity, the stage of change, and physical activity barriers. results: the total low physical activity was 9%, and by domains: work 66.9%, transport 60.8%, household and garden (yard work) 44.8%, and leisure-time 76.2%. the most important physical activity barriers were ?lack of willpower? (70%) and ?lack of time? (46.2%). the most prevalent stages of change were ?contemplation? (40.3%) and ?preparation? (17.1%). conclusion: low physical activity levels were found in different domains of daily life, together with a high prevalence of barriers and stages prior to physical activity practice, mainly among women and obese subjects.

Ingeniería y Universidad , 2009,
Abstract: Electric mass rapid transit systems have been developed simultaneously with electric distribution systems in different cities around the world. However, it is not the case of Colombia, particularly in urban cities such as Bogotá, where the electric distribution system is focused on the current traditional clients. Thus, the question that rises is what electric traction system requirements will be expected from the electricity network operator. This work presents a general approach to state-of-the-art electrified distribution systems for rapid transit systems such as subways and commuter railroads, which have high topical relevance for Bogotá. Electrified systems depend on characteristics such as: voltage level, configuration of the electric network, type of feeding conductor, and power rating of the traction substations. This article presents the general characteristics of the feeding system.
Vélez Quintero,Andrés;
Revista Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales, Ni?ez y Juventud , 2009,
Abstract: the construction of subjectivity that revolves around the experience with rap music is a complex phenomenon in which we can distinguish both the variety of experiences that are accumulated in a multiple social interaction and the variety of scenarios where these encounters and exchanges take place. the mass media are an important scenario and an agent that promotes the approaching between cultural subjects and objects, for example, between male and female youngsters and rap. however, in the election of male toward female youngsters, as the key referent in the constitution of their subjectivities, this experience with the mass media is alternatively treated along with others, where the subjectivities developed in the neighborhood, on the street and with peers have a prominent place. the sociological study of the male and female youths and rap is based, thus, on the careful observation of the diverse experiences of the subjects, of the scenarios and of the moments (subjective and social temporality) where and when these experiences are developed. all of this is preliminary to interpretation, not to fall in abstract reasoning.

Revista CS , 2012,
Abstract: This article analyzes the speech of a group of self-identified homosexual men in Cali inwhich they refer to the visibilization of homosexuality and its consequences. Distancingitself from the explanation of such speech as “internal homophobia” or as “endo-discrimiation,”the current study instead utilizes Judith Butler’s concept of performativityin three categories of analysis: allegory, implicit and explicit norms, and desire/aversion.Based on this analysis, this hate speech can be read as a succession of performative actsthat constitute an idealized subject while simultaneously reaffirming a desired yet threatenedmasculinity. These performative acts not only allow them to defend themselves againsta perceived persecution for a sexual abjection that threatens heteronormativity, but alsoallow for a strong component of homoerotic desire to be embedded within such speech.

Alvarado Lozano,Mario Andrés;
Discusiones Filosóficas , 2009,
Abstract: dionysus needs apollo to appear in human life, to be understood. the drunk song from "thus spoke zarathustra" in the current state is bearable because of their appearance, once transformed into tragic sober song, will become a truly unbearable. this song is revealed as a happy lie and a truthful deceit because is pretends. set up the way to see the sober reflection on dionysus's face. there will be two conclusions of this article, the music switches eternally over the ideas and the thought of heraclitus "the dark of ephesus" is true, from the child who plays is the kingdom. before sing, the song must be transformed; the music starts to listen, the first mask falls down after that, the tragedy to stage. the transition from the bearable to unbearable, can only be call the "fifth gospel".
