Impact of Job Crafting on Quality of Care: The Moderating Effect of Commitment  [PDF]
Marina Romeo, Montserrat Yepes-Baldó, Kristina Westerberg, Maria Nordin
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2018.912151
Abstract: The present study is part of a broader research project aimed at the analysis of the job environment of eldercare and nursing homes employees. In this context, the aim of this research is to analyze the direct effect of job crafting, specifically, task, relational and cognitive crafting, on quality of care, and the moderator effect of commitment on these relationships. A correlational cross-sectional design was used. A non-probabilistic accidental sample of 530 eldercare and nursing home employees was recruited. Standardized instruments were used to assess employees’ job crafting, quality of care and commitment. Regression analyses with PROCESS were used to test the moderated model. Results showed a moderated effect of exchange, values, and affective commitment on the relationship between cognitive job crafting and quality of care, but not on the relationship of task and relational job crafting and quality of care. This study highlights the importance of nurses’ job crafting activities for quality of care. Quality of care depends on cognitive job crafting among nurses with high levels of organizational commitment. Those employees with high levels of need commitment perceived low levels of quality of care, independently of their job crafting.
Equivalent Validity of Identification-Commitment-Inventory (HSA-ICI)

Escritos de Psicología (Internet) , 2011,
Abstract: the main purpose of this study was to demonstrate the validity of the identification-commitment-inventory (hsa-ici) in two european samples (from spain and portugal). the ici was proposed by quijano and collaborators as part of the human system audit (hsa), a conceptual model and set of tools designed for evaluation and intervention in human resources systems (hrs). the underlying factor structure of the instrument was tested with samples of spanish (n = 625) and portuguese (n = 520) employees - in combination and separately - working in the health care sector. confirmatory factor analysis with a test of invariance across groups was conducted. the results show that the theoretical model fits the observed data of the general sample (χ2 = 2643.12, p = .046; rmsea = .028; rmr = .041; gfi = .983; agfi =. 977; cfi = .994), replicating the results of a previous study. when the samples were analysed separately, the measurement structure presented a better fit in the spanish sample than in the portuguese sample. the overall difference was not large - due to being influenced at the item level by some contextual aspects - but was just sufficient to obtain statistical significance (χ2tucker-lewis = 48.23; df = 1; p < .001). this work provides evidence supporting the use of the hsa-ici. the implications of these results for future research are discussed.

Dynamic and Configurational Approach to the Glass Transition by Nanoscale Cooperativity  [PDF]
G. Romeo
Open Journal of Biophysics (OJBIPHY) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ojbiphy.2012.23012
Abstract: Here we examine the findings obtained for disaccharide/water mixtures near glass transition that involves cooperative relaxation features on kinetic by viscosity and on thermodynamic behaviour by neutron scattering. Then to address cooperative phenomena that mitigate the Debye-Waller behaviour we invoke Adam-Gibbs’ idea of a cooperative rearranging region. Neutron results suggest that the excess mean square displacement behaves as free volume and is closely connected to an elementary step of the structural relaxation. Then viscosity data evidence a breakdown of the Einstein-Debye relation, decoupling attributed to the intermolecular cooperativity.
Bioethics and the Law in Familial Cancer, a Practical Approach  [PDF]
Azua-Romeo Javier
Open Journal of Pathology (OJPathology) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ojpathology.2012.22009
Abstract: Hereditary cancers are the result of germline mutations in specific genes that increase susceptibility to cancer. This susceptibility is spread among family members according to different patterns of inheritance. Inherited susceptibility to cancer, does not imply the certainty of developing it in all cases. In this sense many questions have come out in recent years, not only in the medical sense but also in the field of bioethics and the law.
A simple model of energy expenditure in human locomotion
Romeo, F;
Revista Brasileira de Ensino de Física , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S1806-11172009000400008
Abstract: a simple harmonic oscillator model is proposed to describe the mechanical power involved in human locomotion. in this framework, by taking into account the anthropometric parameters of a standard individual, we are able to calculate the speed-power curves in human walking. the proposed model accounts for the well known margaria's law in which the cost of human running (independent from the speed) is fixed to 1 kcal/(kg km). the model includes the effects of a gentle slope (either positive or negative) and the effect due to the mechanical response of the walking surface. the model results obtained in the presence of a slope are in qualitative agreement with the experimental data obtained by a. leonardi et al.
Main Sources of Funding Necessary to Implement the Regional Policy in the EU

Acta Universitatis Danubius : Relationes Internationales , 2008,
Abstract: The paper deals with the impact of the European Structural Instruments on Member States’economies. For the beginning, we presented the role of these financial instruments and thestrategically objectives of the European regional policy which can achieve by using them. We focusedon the actual financial perspective, 2007-2013, in order to explain the evolution of the objectives ofregional policy. The last part of the paper deals with the Romania’s situation connected with thesefinancial instruments.
ECONOMIA SOCIAL – DELIMIT RI CONCEPTUALE

Revista de Economie Sociala , 2012,
Abstract: Articolul i propune o succint trecere n revist a istoriei defini ilor economiei sociale la nivel european, o fundamentare ideologic a conceputului i analiza unor dimensiuni esen iale pentru analiza sociologic a economiei sociale.
SOCIAL ECONOMY - A CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
Romeo Asiminei
Revista de Economie Sociala , 2012,
Abstract: The article offers a brief overview of the history of definitions of social economy at European level, the ideological background of the concept and highlights some key dimensions for sociological analysis of social economy. Although the social economy is a reality present in different forms in most human communities, the term has no universally accepted definition nor in international area or in Europe. Attempts of defining and theorizing of the concept is relatively new in relation to practice. This article is a development of conceptual framework chapter from the report “Profit to the people”, POSDRU project Social Economy Model in Romania.
The influence of parasites on harmful insects of the deciduous forests of the north of Arge county
Romeo Retevoi
Advances in Environmental Sciences , 2012,
Abstract: This article presents a study on the parasites of harmful insects of the acacia and oak forests from the superior basin of Doamnei river.Between 2008-2011, we identified in these forests the following species of harmful insects which have significantly multiplied: Parectoparobiniella, Phylonorycter robiniella, Andricus quercuscalicis. The dynamics of pests populations was influenced both by abiotic factors andby the action of parasites.
