The Kinetic Art does not believe in the possibility of an empty space, neutral or passive. The concept of the continuous space-time adopted by this tendency is the one of an entity full of energy, dynamic, traversed by force fields that expand and communicate with each other. In particular, one of their pioneers, the Venezuelan Jesús Soto, treats the human being as an active and inseparable part of Nature, capable of affecting it and of being affected by it, that is, like a matter-and-energy compendium that does not escape from the phenomena manifested in the space-time. Soto insists on not moving away – neither as researcher, or as participant – from the Universe that he wishes so much to comprehend, and also on not moving away the spectator, because he believes that the human being, with his body, his senses, his actions and his energy, is colligated with his surroundings and, as 116 such, does not enjoy of a privileged location, neither it is able to enunciate absolute truths or truths divorced of his own being. This article is part of the author’s researches on the relations between Art and Science, specifically on the links of the Kinetic Art with the advances of the physical sciences, which took place in 20th Century first
Hernández Saínz,Mariela; Martel Martínez,Moraima;
Humanidades M??dicas , 2006,
Abstract: a historical investigation was carried to reflect the midwives′ social practice in the period from 1937 to 1967 in the city of nuevitas. this exercise of social work got to an end with the disappearance of the domiciliary childbirths after the coming forth of the national health system. it was carried out a bibliographical revision of texts that offers the ?juridical and professional? image of this service, however there was not written record of the development of the midwives social practice in this town. the empiric methods that were used: interviews to midwives and their families, to old authorities of the municipality and old workers. the work of the most popular midwives was studied; and was used as variables: their ethical-humanistic values, the activity in the domiciliary childbirths and in private clinics, and their life histories.
Forrellat Barrios,Mariela; Hernández Ramírez,Porfirio;
Revista Cubana de Hematolog?-a, Inmunolog?-a y Hemoterapia , 2011,
Abstract: for a long time, it was taken for granted that hemoglobin and mioglobin were the only vertebrate globins. in 2000, a third type of globins was discovered on the basis of its preferential location in the nervous system and it was called neuroglobin. although its specific function is still unknown, a number of hypotheses has been put forward, mainly the one suggesting that it may detoxify the reactive oxygen species and the nitrogen. on the other hand, other studies state that neuroglobin is part of a signal transduction chain that transmits the redox state of the cell or inhibits apoptosis. though some functions are more probable than others, the real physiological function of neuroglobin in vertebrae has not been finally established. nevertheless, this globin has undoubtedly an essential preserved function that is useful for neurons.
Deficiencia de vitamina B12: tratamiento oral o parenteral
Forrellat Barrios,Mariela; Hernández Ramírez,Porfirio;
Revista Cubana de Hematolog?-a, Inmunolog?-a y Hemoterapia , 2009,
Abstract: traditional treatment of vitamin b12 deficiency has been the cobalamin administration via periodic intramuscular injections following different rules depending from deficit severity and clinical picture present. despite that from 50s and 60s of past century, it was established that oral b12 therapy is as effective as injections ones in treatment of this type of deficiency, in practice it looks like a not very accepted fact. researches aimed to assess this alternative, and why still its use has not been completely understood, suggest that the change to a vitamin b12 treatment implicates significant savings in terms of financial costs, time of physicians and health staff, and the drawbacks and annoyances for patients, whom in general, accept well the change of therapy.

A historical investigation was carried to reflect the midwives′ social practice in the period from 1937 to 1967 in the city of Nuevitas.
Porras Hernández, Laura Helena;López Hernández, Mariela;Huerta Alva, María Guadalupe;
Revista mexicana de investigación educativa , 2010,
Abstract: this article presents the results of a pilot study of a pedagogical strategy that integrates information and communication technologies into the spanish curriculum in telesecundaria schools. with a research/action/development methodology and in cooperation with teachers, the authentic writers strategy was constructed for teachers to use in rural and urban telesecundaria schools in the state of puebla. the comparison of pre- and post-tests showed statistically significant differences and an increase in the reflection process and intelligent use of information. qualitative changes were also identified. the difference for processes of transfer to authentic situations was not significant. a discussion is made of the possible reasons behind these results; also addressed is the importance of teachers' roles in mediating and adapting a viable strategy for elementary education that can help increase the quality of learning.
