Bioprospection of marine microorganisms: biotechnological applications and methods
Dionisi,Hebe M; Lozada,Mariana; Olivera,Nelda L.;
Revista argentina de microbiolog?-a , 2012,
Abstract: environmental microorganisms constitute an almost inexhaustible reserve of genetic and functional diversity, accumulated during millions of years of adaptive evolution to various selective pressures. in particular, the extent of microbial biodiversity in marine habitats seems to grow larger as new techniques emerge to measure it. this has resulted in novel and more complex approaches for the screening of molecules and activities of biotechnological interest in these environments. in this review, we explore the different partially overlapping biotechnological fields that make use of microorganisms and we describe the different marine habitats that are particularly attractive for bioprospection. in addition, we review the methodological approaches currently used for microbial bioprospection, from the traditional cultivation techniques to state of the art metagenomic approaches, with emphasis in the marine environment.

Revista argentina de microbiolog?-a , 2012,
Abstract: The marine environments of Argentina have a remarkable extension, as well as high biological productivity and biodiversity of both macro- and microorganisms. Despite having a great potential for biotechnological applications, the microorganisms inhabiting these ecosystems remain mostly unexplored and unexploited. In this review, we study the research topics and the interactions among Argentinean laboratories, by analyzing current articles published on biotechnology-related marine microbiology by researchers of this country. In addition, we identify the challenges and opportunities for Argentina to take advantage of the genetic potential of its marine microorganisms. Finally, we suggest possible actions that could improve the development of this research field, as well as the utilization of this knowledge to solve societal needs.

Olivera,Gabriela;
Mundo agrario , 2006,

Abstract: we present the results of ongoing research into the strategies deployed by the dairy cooperative sector and the interference of these in the design of sectoral policies. we believe a diverse portfolio of sources: legislation, diagnoses, edit and unpublished reports produced by the state and by various actors in the dairy cooperative. in the treatment of this subject discussed the issue of corporate logic state actors and cooperative. we consider also the process of aggregation of interests in public space that came from the discussions and experiences of action, organization and partnerships between dairy cooperative entities.
Olivera,Guillermo;
EURE (Santiago) , 2001, DOI: 10.4067/S0250-71612001008100004
Abstract: it is discussed how the legislative reform of the article 27 in 1992 in mexico affected the urban land management, particularly, the forms of creating urban reserves from ejido land. as it is shown, the new mechanisms under which ejido land may be disestablished in order to prevent irregular urban growth, mainly by informal alienation proccess, have been unsuccessfully. two main aspects explain these results. firstly, ejidatarios still not have the complete autonomy to control their own land by themselves; instead, federal and states govenments still maintain several options to modify the ejidatarios decisions. secondly, planning agencies and municipal governments frequently have a low administrative and financial capacity, to exercise effective authority over land development processes. to finalize, it is suggested to think in new terms the notion of urban land reserves, and there are pointed out some areas where the municipal administration might be improved

Pastos y Forrajes , 2011,
Old values for new times: Svetislav Stefanovi , once and nowadays
Milosavljevi? Olivera
Sociologija , 2010, DOI: 10.2298/soc1004399m
Abstract: After the fall of communism and the collapse of Yugoslavia, the ” new” Serbian elite made a demarcation towards the former state in all aspects, including its interpretation of the past. This phenomenon is especially present in reevaluations of the fascist ideology of 1930s which is often relativized to the point of unrecognizability by adducing positive facts. A characteristic example discussed in this paper is the defense of Dr Svetislav Stefanovi ’s ideological principles by his contemporary biographers.
