Abstract: the differential diagnosis of certain b cd5+ lymphoproliferative processes, such as mantle cell lymphoma (mcl) and atypical chronic lymphocytic leukemia (acll), is difficult. the aim of this study was to correlate morphological findings, cyclin d1 (cd1) detection by immunohistochemistry (ihc) and immunophenotype by flow cytometry (fc) with the results obtained by molecular biology in this type of neoplasias. we analyzed 20 samples classified as b cd5+ lymphoproliferative processes by fc. pcr was used for t(11;14) bcl-1/igh determination. histopathological and ihc studies for cd1 were done in 14 cases. twelve cases were diagnosed as mcl, with positive cd1 in 5 (5/9), five as acll and three as b lymphoproliferative process. pcr revealed t(11;14) in 6/12 mcl and negative results in the other groups (0/8). molecular biology evidenced translocation in 4/5 mcl positive for cd1 with ihc. the presence of translocation could be demonstrated by ihc and pcr in 7/12 mcl: 4 with both techniques, 2 with pcr alone, and 1 with ihc alone. these findings show a significant association between cd1 by ihc and bcl-1/igh gene detection by pcr, which implies that both techniques are complementary for mcl typing.

The differential diagnosis of certain B CD5+ lymphoproliferative processes, such as mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) and atypical chronic lymphocytic leukemia (ACLL), is difficult.
Gómez, Mariana Daniela;
Cadernos Pagu , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-83332011000100008
Abstract: in this article i approach how were observed and represented toba women by the anglican missionaries from the south american missionary society (sams) during their work at misión el toba, on the west-center chaco, formosa province (argentina). i analyze too some activities promoted by the mission back in the 1930's and 1940's which seemed to generate cultural changes on the roles, identities and on women and man spaces. we'll also see the participation and the resistances of women to these imposed changes by the missionary work.
LAS FORMAS DE INTERACCIóN CON EL MONTE DE LAS MUJERES TOBAS (QOM)
GóMEZ,MARIANA DANIELA;
Revista Colombiana de Antropología , 2008,
Abstract: in this paper i offer an anthropological perspective of toba women's knowledge related to their gathering activities in the monte (forest) in the formosa province of argentina. i use the concepts of engaged involvement (ingold), embodiment (csordas) and habitus (bourdieu), to analyze women′s knowledge as practical knowledge (bourdieu), learned through a bodily-perceptual interaction with those places of the toba territory which women recognize as significant. i discuss the links between identities, women′s monte-related knowledge, and the body as a locus which carries, creates and dynamizes socially embodied knowledge, as a historical product of specific forms of circulation and transmission within a socio-cultural group, marked by gender, age and ethnic differences
El género en el cuerpo
Gómez,Mariana Daniela;
Av?? , 2009,
Abstract: in the context of my doctoral research, one of my centrals premises is that gender, as a social difference and a social structure, it's constantly constructed by a particular interpretation of sexual difference, and it has three dimensions interlinked: it's embodiment (in concrete social moldeled bodies), it's spaceallized (gender has inmediate consecuences in the social production of spaces and places) and it's represented and simbolized (through discourses and representations about the feminine and masculine world that language, ideologies and identities expresses). in this article my aim is to explore in methodological and theoretical terms a moment of this relationship: the links between body and gender, between gender and the ways in wich it's embodiment, and also between gender and the concept of habitus (bourdieu, 1998), considering the cultural construction of gender among the western toba from formosa province -better known as qomlec-, an indigenous people located in the west-center chaco region of northeast argentina.
Eating in the streets of Maracaibo: public space, social visibility and urban experience
Gómez,Mariana;
Opción , 2008,
Abstract: in maracaibo, street food has a remarkable presence and a great importance as a distinctive urban and cultural practice. this article aims at a phenomenological characterization of street-food activities in this venezuelan city, focusing in the outlining and analysis of the experience and appropriation of public space by the institutions, subjects and practices involved in eating in the streets, and especially through a brief examination of the diverse meanings attributed to street food and its consumption. hence, rather than to bring conclusive statements, it points to the formulation of a set of questions and hypothesis which could lead to further discussion.
The nineties in Argentina. Ideology and subjectivity in the Menemist society
Mgter. Mariana Gómez
Revista Latina de Comunicación Social , 2006,
Abstract: In this work a reading of the Argentinean period is presented denominated "menemismo" from two axes: the ideology concept, starting from the contributions of Voloshinov, Althusser and Zizek and from the lacanian notion of "enjoyment". A style where the law absence, as consequence of the trasgresión of government's system, a society that doesn't find a significant anchorage easily takes place. At the same time, it is analyzed how this produces a society that doesn't find a significant to give cohesion to its symbolical and identified universe, ending to organize at themselves around of consume objets. From this place it is thinks about the consumption objects as objects fetishes starting from the categories Marxist and Freudian and concludes in that the corruption like means to exercise the government should not only be seen as an ethical topic but also, as an institutional and ideological topic.

In the context of my doctoral research, one of my centrals premises is that gender, as a social difference and a social structure, it's constantly constructed by a particular interpretation of sexual difference, and it has three dimensions interlinked: it's embodiment (in concrete social moldeled bodies), it's spaceallized (gender has inmediate consecuences in the social production of spaces and places) and it's represented and simbolized (through discourses and representations about the feminine and masculine world that language, ideologies and identities expresses).
