Abstract: this paper refers to the contributions of the curricular studies for the teaching of history, considering that researches on this teaching, when passed by curricular questions, need approaches with educational theories and boardings. in this article i present a reflection over the academic disputes for the definition of contents of education, over the specificity of historical discipline in school and over the possibility of modifying the formation of history teachers, aiming at boardings about culture and education designed by curricular studies. the text was constructed as an allegory, parting from the picture of the painter terniers, the younger, entitled the archduke leopold wilhelm in his painting gallery at brussels, belonging to the museum of prado, in madrid.

Abstract: this dissertation is about the making of the curriculum proposal of the history for the state of s?o paulo, between the years of 1986 and 1992, and the relation that the coordenadoria de estudos e normas pedagógicas (cenp) established with the process of developing this proposal, that had been involved in many conflicts and controversies, some of them, results of the academic and political discussions shown to the public by the press.

Abstract: porous carbons have received great attention because of their potential use as adsorbents, sensors, catalytic supports and others. among the available methods for preparing these solids, the sequential templating emerges as an efficient way to tail carbon materials, with large specific surface areas, high porosity, controlled narrow pore size distribution and different functional groups. the template process is based on the infiltration of carbon precursors into the pores of inorganic frameworks. this work reviews the most important variables involved in the sequential template process to prepare micro, meso and macroporous carbon with tailored properties as well as their applications.
Propriedades psicométricas das escalas de assédio moral no trabalho: percep??o e impacto

Abstract: this text reports the adaptation and psychometric characteristics of psychological harassment measures: the frequency perception and the affective impact harassment scales. the instruments -self-applicable- had identical items, but were answered in different scales; one referring to the harassment perception and the other, to the affective impact caused by the phenomenon. 216 workers participated, who occupy diverse positions, like administrative support activities, health assistance, general services, people servicing and reception, military officers, sales and teachers. they were between 17 and 61 years-old, and 65% was female. factorial analysis results revealed two harassment perception scale factors, but only one of them was revealed in the harassment affective impact scale. satisfactory internal consistency indicators pointed out that all the items contributed to improve scales reliability. the structure found differed from that related in literature, and such results are the basis of results discussion.

Abstract: the purpose of this study was revise semantic contents, validating and establishing the reliability of the job satisfaction scale, formed by 116 items and grouped in 14 valid factors with unsatisfactory reliability. the semantic revision retained 113 applied to 600 workers-students, 51% women, at nocturnal schools of medium and superior scholarship with average age of 26 years old. analyses of the principal components and scree plot pointed 7 to 12 components. the principal axis factoring (varimax and promax rotation) reduced the scale to 45 items grouped in 6 factors: "satisfaction with organizational support", "satisfaction with social utility of the organization and of work", "satisfaction with affective relationship at work", "satisfaction with professional recognition", "insatisfaction with inadequacy of the working opportunities" and "insatisfaction with working overload". cronbach's alfas were .86, .81, .80, .82, .85 and .81. the job satisfaction construct was confirmed like affective and composed by two sets of factors. this conclusion corroborates the literature.

Abstract: this study was performed with the purpose to investigate the impact of perceptions regarding intragroup conflicts and physician power bases on the stress of nursing professionals. to do this, 124 nursing aides and technicians of a university hospital answered scales on work stress, supervisor power bases perception, and intragroup conflict perception, and a form containing socio-demographic data. most subjects presented low stress levels (58%), perceived a medium level of intragroup conflict and legit power as the most often used by physicians. stepwise regression analysis results revealed that the task conflict and coercion power are direct predictors of stress, whereas age appears as an inverse predictor. the physician in charge has an important role on the nursing team's perception of stress and the need to seek solutions for task conflicts and, therefore, reduce the stress of these professionals.

Mini-mac - escala de ajustamento mental para o cancer: estrutura fatorial

Abstract: the factorial validation of the mini mac - the mental adjustment to cancer scale, that measures mental adjustment to cancer, is investigated. after semantic validation, the scale was applied to a sample of 283 patients, average age 54 years old, suffering from cancer of different types and in various stages of the disease, and attended to at a university hospital. the factorability of the sample was appropriate (the kaiser-meyer-olkin was 0.88); data were submitted to principal components analysis, oblique rotation, due to interdependence of factors. seven factors attained eigenvalue greater than 1.0. two factors showed good reliability ("anxious preoccupation" with cronbach's alpha = 0.87 and "helpless/hopeless" with cronbach's alpha = 0.74), with 13 items with loadings 0.40 or more, which explained 30% of total variance. results suggested good psychometric quality. difference between the factor structure of the original scale and that in current study explains the cultural and educational differences among samples.

Abstract: the purposes of this study were to identify the feelings of pleasure experienced by intensive care unit nurses. it was carried out in two adults? intensive care units of a school hospital. it was a qualitative research in which eight nurses from all shifts were interviewed. the theoretical framework used was the work psychodynamics and the methodological one was the content analysis. the results showed that, besides working in a stressful complex environment with patients in serious condition in which death is certain, the nurse?s related feeling pleasure in several occasions.
