Cren as de adolescentes portugueses sobre o uso do preservativo

Abstract: Esta pesquisa revela os resultados obtidos durante Doutorado Sandwich, que incluiu trabalho de campo realizado emPortugal e que teve a CAPES como agência financiadora. Seus objetivos foram: identificar as cren ascomportamentais e normativas de adolescentes em rela o ao uso do preservativo durante as rela es sexuais eapresentar sugest es práticas que possam contribuir à defini o de estratégias sólidas relacionadas ao Programa deEduca o da Sexualidade na Escola. Estudo quantitativo, com base na Theory of Reasoned Action – TRA, realizado emescolas públicas do Porto, de janeiro a mar o de 2008. A amostra constou de 252 adolescentes, de 13 a 19 anos, queresponderam a um questionário estruturado. A idade média dos participantes foi de 14,7 anos. As vantagens para ouso do preservativo foram: preven o de DSTs, da gravidez e da SIDA. As desvantagens foram: risco de romper,diminui o do prazer e inc modo. Entre os referentes positivos se destacaram amigos, pais e família. Os resultadosobtidos revelaram cren as positivas e negativas, podendo àquelas serem refor adas e estas minimizadas outransformadas em positivas, durante as estratégias do programa que vem sendo desenvolvido nas escolas, servindode contribui o para que os jovens exer am uma vida sexual saudável.

Abstract: children's nutritional condition reflects both their food consumption and health condition. these factors depend on the food available at home, salubriousness, the environment and the care the child receives. this qualitative study presents perceptions and feelings in order to understand how families live with the problem of child malnutrition. data were collected through semistructured interviews and observations, involving 10 mothers of undernourished children in the suburbs of fortaleza-ceará, brazil. the transcriptions of their discourse revealed the theme categories unemployment and food insecurity. the synthesis of the categories under analysis evidenced that the hunger problem is characteristic by the family's insecurity. thus, they search for support options, such as health centers, relatives, church and community. there is a need to prioritize preventive work, through public health policies, aimed at measures related to the real world of health promotion.

Abstract: the present text has as subject, the care as essence of nursing leadership. the objective was to arouse reflexion on the recovery of care as essence of nursing leadership. it is a critical and reflexive analysis carried out considering the book the servant: a simple story about the true essence of leadership by james c. hunter. as methodology, it was used the contents analysis. the thematic analysis of the results points to the relevance of rethink the nursing leadership based on the new paradigm: the leadership for the care by the care. it was conclude that the care needs to be recovered to nursing leadership.

Abstract: this study aimed to analyze the meaning of std contamination for the women with stable union. the present study is an ethnographical research, based on theory of cultural care. the study was developed in the center of family development (cedefam) and in seven women's family context for nine months. the results showed that the std diagnosis influences on women's sexual behavior. on the other hand, it was verified that men seem to behave as having a secondary role in the process and still consider the problem a feminine one. as a conclusion, it was noticed the importance of the approach of culture in health education actions for the promotion of couple's sexual and reproductive health.

Abstract: gender subjects are extremely important for the acknowledgements of the relationships of power amongst the society, including sexuality. the aim of this study is to analyze the influence of gender relations in the adolescents' context and different gender perceptions of the vulnerability to sexually transmissive diseases. this is a study with qualitative approach which used a focal group technique with adolescents of fortaleza, ceará, brazil. through the adolescents' dialogue it was found that the social network does not feel responsible for their vulnerability. the adolescents of the male focal group felt the need to freely express their sexual desires, withholders of authority in a conjugal relationship. the female focal group repeated the present condition of female submission towards the males' desires. both groups are vulnerable to sexually transmissive diseases. the whole format of society contributes to the present paradigms, which embodies sexuality.

Abstract: in face of the expression that the ethnography has acquired with the researching in nursing care, this study has been accomplished with the objective of fomenting the reflection about the evolution of the ethnography and its possibilities of being applied in the current context. this study shows us one reflexive analysis of the ethnography developed in aboriginal tribes and the relevance about its application in urban environment, approaching even the research in the phenomena of the transcultural nursing care. we hope this article could contribute for the reflection on the importance of the ethnographical approach and also it could encourage its adequate using in nursing care.

Abstract: the family has been prioritized through social programs, especially with the decentralization of health actions. however, to the detriment of the transformations happened, this glance directed to the family group continues linked to a biological paradigm, centered in the pathology, feeding the system with epidemiological data, not substantial concerning the real needs, life conditions and health of the families. the present study emerged from the need of developing and sharing knowledge that orientate the professionals' performance in primary attention of health, with the family playing the role of active subject in the search of solution for problems, in a co-responsibility and citizenship dimension. we aimed to answer the following questions: how have nurses been applying the theoretical marks in the daily practice of nursing with families? which knowledge produced converges and expresses the theoretical-practical tendency of nursing care to the family? for doing so we aimed to reveal the theoretical-practical tendency of the nursing care with families, starting from the convergence of popular and academic knowledge. we opted for the qualitative research method, using the convergent-clinical modality. the participants of the study were 14 nurses, among which 07 represented the research activity and 07 represented the clinical practice. among the ones who represented the research, 04 were in the doctorate level and 03 in the master's degree. on the other hand, the nurses of the practice were 02 field supervisors and 05 former-students, representing the supervised apprenticeship, through the graduation monograph. we executed the approach to the participants through two stages, being the first, by individual contact and the second, prioritizing the collective construction of reality. we used questionnaires, and requested a copy of the theses and dissertations for directed reading by structured handout. for the second stage, we used the interactive panel technique, wh

Abstract: abstract the study's proposal was to evidence a. bibliography review about children' accidents. the bibliography and documental researches were used as methodology. the data made clear that children accidents are the bigger public health problem in. england. in the united states, in 1989, had happened about 2.700 deaths as accident results in children under 1.1 years old. in. brazil has been registered high index of attendance at pediatric emergencies that involves home accidents. it has been concluded that these cases have been increasing and they need special attention and preventive approach.

Abstract: the day-hospital, as a modality of psychiatric care, provides families with the possibility to experience greater contact with their mentally-ill relative during treatment and leads them to searching, together with such relative, for ways to facilitate the adaptation process of interaction in the family. this study aims at understanding how families and the users of day-hospitals interact out of their homes and at describing the experience narrated by a family. the family in this study was selected from one of the users of a day-hospital who had a previous history of hospital admissions for psychiatric treatment. five members of the family under study were interviewed. based on the experiences described by the subjects, two great thematic categories emerged: the family experiencing the day-hospital with its family member and the family-user relationships. the experiences narrated by the subjects in this study are rather significant for the construction of new possibilities in caring for the mentally-ill person's family.

Abstract: the study aimed to investigate the strategies health professionals use in hiv/aids counseling. this study is a qualitative research, based on paulo freire's theory and practice. bardin's content analysis was used as the analysis technique. for the studied group, the counseling is focused on cognition, although new concepts permeating this subject are emerging. the main difficulties in counseling are related to the clients and the institution. the main facility is related to the team, which according to the group has a good relationship. counseling represents a moment of distress, especially because it brings up existential questions to the counselor. it can be inferred that counseling is a special moment, but it does not constitute an educational moment yet. to obtain this goal, a counseling methodology is proposed, based on paulo freire's principles and concepts.
