Mass Spectrum in the Minimal Supersymmetric 3-3-1 Model  [PDF]
Marcos Cardoso Rodriguez
Journal of Modern Physics (JMP) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/jmp.2011.210149
Abstract: We consider the minimal supersymmetric extension of the 3-3-1 model. We study the mass spectrum of this model in the fermionic and gauge bosons sectors without the antisextet. We also present some phenomenological consequences of this model at colliders such as Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and International Linear Collider (ILC).
Enunciative Texts Present in Physical Issues of Editions of a Brazilian National Exam as Possible Triggers of Socio-Scientific Discussions  [PDF]
Marcos Fernandes-Sobrinho
Creative Education (CE) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2018.92021
Abstract: In this article we identify and analyze texts on physics questions in seven editions of a Brazilian national exam, with the purpose of bringing contributions to teaching planning and pedagogical actions with the perspective of supporting the creation of socio-scientific discussions (SSD), capable of inducing students in their citizenship development, in view of the difficulties of being worked in Sciences/Physics teaching environments appointed by the literature. A Brazilian state was chosen as a field, whose locus included six municipalities and 12 public institutions of basic education. Given that the results seem to distort the reality of the school context, the aforementioned difficulties were then theoretically and empirically disassembled, proving to be potentially minimized with the establishment of trails that enable the teacher to work on SSD identified in materials of easy and universal access, which contributes with advancement in the field of Science-Technology-Society education.
Validación de una nueva Escala de Expectativas de Resultados y Metas de Rendimiento para Matemática
Cupani,Marcos;
Interdisciplinaria , 2010,
Abstract: lent and brown (2006) suggest guidelines for creating and adapting assessment tools based on the social cognitive career theory (scct -lent, brown, & hackett, 1994). in the last years, this theory has been the subject of substantial research, both basic and theoretical. the authors indicate that any assessment of scct should: (a) contextualize measures to make sure they are grounded in a particular, domain-specific context, (b) be reasonably comprehensive in sampling the domain, designing multifaceted measures when the criterion is correspondingly complex, and (c) ensure compatibility between predictors and criteria along key dimensions, including content, context, temporal orientation, and level of specificity. additionally, it is important to use reliable and valid tests. without sound measures, it is difficult, if not impossible, to establish whether theory-discrepant findings are attributable to problems with the theory, flaws in operationalizing it, or both. in argentina, cupani and gnavi (2007) assessed a model of academic performance in mathematic, based on the scct. cupani and gnavi adapted the subscales for mathematic outcome expectancies and performance goals of the middle school self-efficacy scale (fouad, smith, & enochs, 1997). results indicated that the goals subscale has a simple factor structure with adequate internal consistence, although it did not predict academic performance in mathematic. moreover, the subscale for mathematics outcome expectancies showed low internal consistence and some of its items did not transfer well to our cultural setting. therefore, two follow-up studies were carried out to improve the psychometric properties of both scales. the first study employed two focus groups (n per group = 8) and aimed at generating ideas on the student's expectations of results and goals on academic achievement in our cultural setting. the information gathered was used to write 7 new items for the goals subscale and 12 items for the outcome expe
Capture of fiscal transfers: a study of Brazilian local governments
Mendes, Marcos;
Economia Aplicada , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-80502005000300005
Abstract: this paper deals with a problem observed in federal fiscal relations: the capture of transfers received by local interest groups. four hypotheses established in the literature are tested: capture is expected to increase with fiscal illusion, low bargaining power of the voter, over-financing of some local governments, and degree of poverty. the empirical tests use data from brazilian local governments. the econometric results are coherent with the hypotheses and give hints on how to prevent capture when designing an intergovernmental transfer system.
Indetermina??o e estabilidade: os 20 anos da Constitui??o Federal e as tarefas da pesquisa em direito
Nobre, Marcos;
Novos Estudos - CEBRAP , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-33002008000300005
Abstract: the constitutional process was characterized by novelties such as an intense participation of the civil society and the inexistence of a hegemonic block. that's the origin of the broad and detailed character of the constitutional text. but it was this "contradictory" aspect that allowed it to be vindicated by different groups and movements. and it was this that built its legitimacy and its vitality.
O filósofo municipal, a Setzung e uma nova coaliz?o lógico-ontológica
Nobre, Marcos;
Novos Estudos - CEBRAP , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-33002011000200004
Abstract: the article offers a critical overview of brazilian philosopher josé arthur giannotti's intellectual trajectory up to li??es de filosofia primeira (lessons on first philosophy, 2011), and attempts to show that, by giving up on the logic of setzung and on the project of formulating a theory of "socially necessary illusions", giannotti cannot find any longer the grounds for critique, a result of the abandonment of a theoretical force field built around kant and hegel for a different one, centered around wittgenstein and heidegger.
Escritor, autor e leitor: presen?as no mundo da literatura
Bueno, Marcos;
Fractal : Revista de Psicologia , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S1984-02922012000200014

A Educa??o Ambiental frente aos desafios apresentados pelos discursos contemporaneos sobre a natureza
Reigota, Marcos;
Educa??o e Pesquisa , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S1517-97022010000200008
Abstract: the notion of nature has played an important role in philosophy and also in environmental education. contemporary philosophers such as gianni vattimo and newton aquiles von zuben declare that the notion of a single nature has contributed to the growth of a dogmatic metaphysics that has crystallized political and religious totalitarianisms. environmental education in latin america has constituted a theoretical field and a privileged public space for the diffusion of non-dogmatic, non-totalitarian, notions of nature in close relationship to cultural and social diversity. at a first moment of environmental education the notion of nature was linked to natural resources. however, after specific themes related to the contemporary discourses about nature, such as transgenetics and biodiversity, have gained the public sphere we argue that environmental education has been facing new theoretical, political, ecological, social, cultural and pedagogical challenges. in the present article we try to identify and analyze some of these challenges, having as our theoretical foundation the ideas of italian thinker gianni vattimo, and of brazilian philosopher newton aquiles von zuben, on the aspects related to bioethics and to the political role of education in the formation of citizens. we conclude that the approach to nature present in contemporary discourses helps to open out the dialogue between environmental education and bioethics, and to materialize it in daily social and pedagogical practices, thus representing a concrete alternative to allow citizens to face up to the challenges brought about by biodiversity and the transgenics with scientific, ethical and political arguments.
Espacios de producción gnoseológica en educación: categorización de la investigación internacional
Requena,Marcos;
Investigación y Postgrado , 2007,
Abstract: this article is about the concept of gnoseological production space, as an element to categorize the research carried out in the education field at international level, during the last five years. periodical publications files of four venezuelan universities were consulted through an intentional sample. as a result, 26 international magazines on educational topics were found. 986 titles were scheduled. among them: research reports, theoretical articles, essays and books. concepts on research line and topic area were analyzed in order to establish the grouping criteria. additionally, the concept of gnoseological production space was proposed due to its study limitations. this research led to the identification, definition ucab and illustration of twelve (12) gnoseological production space in education.
Civilización y barbarie: La función de los intelectuales en la Argentina del Centenario: J. Ingenieros y R. Rojas
Olalla,Marcos;
Estudios de filosof?-a pr??ctica e historia de las ideas , 2009,
Abstract: the use of civilization and barbarism categories literary and scientific latin-american speech show a particular examination of the modernizing project at the end of nineteen century and the beginning of twentieth century, as well as the learned role in this. we analize that use in sociología argentina by josé ingenieros and la restauración nacionalista by ricardo rojas books. we match their positivistic and spiritualistic perspectives so as to point out specific and common features in their characterization of intellectual intervention in public sphere.
