Abstract: the neoinstitutional theory has been characterized by some scholars in the field of organizational studies as a supposedly deterministic approach. we will demonstrate in this paper that this characterization cannot be impinged on the neoinstitutional perspective in a generalized way, but only to a dichotomic reading of it, that is typical of monoparadigmatic views of the process of institutionalization. with this demonstration, we defend the idea of the institutional theory as a multiparadigmatic theory. to this end, we present arguments for a recursive approach of the institutionalization process, highlighting that the notions of structure, agency and interpretation are more suitably dealt with when defended as fundamental elements of institutionalization as a recurrent, guaranteed process that is conditioned, not determined, by a certain degree of stabilization of social systems. we conclude the essay with methodological considerations on the consequences of the use of the proposal for a recurrent systemic-process approach of institutionalization for the development of research in the field of organizational studies

Nos valores relativos, (GM) e (GF) a Potência Máxima foide 7.05±1.70 Watts/Kg e 5.49±1.22 Watts/Kg (p=0.02); Potência Média 5.95±1.36 Watts/Kg e 4.22±0.99Watts/Kg (p=0,01); Potência Mínima 4.89±1.07 Watts/Kg e 3.06±1.27 Watts/Kg (p=0,01). No VO2máx o(GM) (GF) obtiveram 41.1±6.2 ml.(kg.min)-1 e 32.6±6.4 ml.(kg.min)-1 (p=0.00).

Revista Contabilidade & Finan?as , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S1519-70772011000300005
Abstract: over the past 40 years, several studies have discussed the relevance of accounting information. these are the so-called value-relevance studies of accounting information. in these studies, accounting variables are used to try and explain stock price behavior. the focus is to verify, through regression analysis, if certain accounting information has information contents for the capital market. that is the context for this article, which aims to analyze the impact of replacing the ssaf (statement of sources and applications of funds) by the scf (statement of cash flows), implemented through changes in brazilian accounting standards valid for the financial year 2008. therefore, it analyzes the question about the value relevance of the operational sources of funds (oro) from ssaf and operating cash flow (fco) from the scf, for the years 2005 to 2007, of non-financial publicly-traded corporations listed in the database melhores e maiores of fipecafi-exame. empirical evidence supports that the replacement of the ssaf by the scf was beneficial for accounting information users in brazil, although previous studies have pointed to the ssaf as a richer statement in terms of information, i.e. a statement that allows ursers to extract more information. a plausible explanation for this finding is that the scf is na easier to understand and more user-friendly statement, especially for users who are less familiar with accounting, so that it is more used.
Morphological and functional characterizations of Schwann cells stimulated with Mycobacterium leprae

Memórias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0074-02762008000400009
Abstract: nerve damage, a characteristic of leprosy, is the cause of patient deformities and a consequence of schwann cells (sc) infection by mycobacterium leprae. although function/dysfunction of sc in human diseases like leprosy is difficult to study, many in vitro models, including sc lines derived from rat and/or human schwannomas, have been employed. st88-14 is one of the cell lineages used by many researchers as a model for m. leprae/sc interaction. however, it is necessary to establish the values and limitations of the generated data on the effects of m. leprae in these sc. after evaluating the cell line phenotype in the present study, it is close to non-myelinating sc, making this lineage an ideal model for m. leprae/sc interaction. it was also observed that both m. leprae and pgl-1, a mycobacterial cell-wall component, induced low levels of apoptosis in st88-14 by a mechanism independent of bcl-2 family members.
