Design and Development of Commuter Services Model in Trains using Cloud
Manne Sai Rakesh,S. Venkatesh Sundarasetty,P. Ramesh Pasupuleti,A. Umamakeswari
Journal of Artificial Intelligence , 2013,
Abstract: The cloud technology is becoming ubiquitous and making the things easier. The idea is to seep this technology into the trains and other transport systems also. Without technology, transport system is more complicated and boring and these can compensated with cloud. A central server on the train, with memory, processing capacity, internet connectivity and with a local network throughout the train (access points in each compartment or use directional antennas) could be of great use to passengers, railway authority and police. The technology improvement goes in hand with the use of clouds on train. With help of Global Positioning System (GPS) and internet, cloud can predict the train clash possibility and alert the concerned authority. This cloud can be used for some of the services like software as a service, infrastructure as a service, etc., and also enjoy on demand services like video streaming, etc., locally. The server can also be used by railway authority for updating the passenger details and know about vacancy of berths and other information which makes it easy for them to know anything at the snap of the finger, even when there is no connectivity between bogies. The cloud can be used to collect the information about the surroundings and give the notifications to the user/whoever is connected to the server.

Abstract: Odontogenic myxomas are benign but locally aggressive neoplasms found almost exclusively in the jaws and arise only occasionally in other bones. We present a rare case of odontogenic myxoma occurring in the mandible of a 19-year-old male patient with a brief review of clinical and radiological features, and diagnostic and operative dilemmas in managing the same. 1. Introduction Odontogenic myxomas (OMs) are benign tumors derived from embryonic mesenchymal elements of dental anlage [1, 2]. OM appears to originate from dental papilla, follicle, or periodontal ligament. The evidence for its odontogenic origin arises from its almost exclusive location in the tooth bearing areas of the jaws, its occasional association with missing or unerupted teeth, and the presence of odontogenic epithelium [1, 3]. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), OM is classified as benign tumor of ectomesenchymal origin with or without odontogenic epithelium [1]. The odontogenic nature of the myxomas has been challenged by some authors because of the appearances, whilst consistent with odontogenic ectomesenchyme, could also represent a more primitive fibroblastic or undifferentiated tissue [4]. Most of the OMs reported were young adults affected mostly in their second and third decade of life with marked female predilection [1, 3, 5]. OM can occur both in bone and soft tissue. Although intraosseous myxoma has been reported in various anatomical sites, the majority of these tumors occur in the mandible, followed by the maxilla [1, 2, 5, 6]. Clinically, OMs are slow-growing, painless, and site-aggressive tumors. Since pain and hypoesthesia are not common, the lesions may reach a considerable size before patient perceives its existence and seeks treatment. Larger lesions may cause tooth displacement and cortical bone expansion [4, 6]. Radiologically, the appearance may vary from a unilocular radiolucency to a multicystic lesion with well-defined or diffused margins with fine, bony trabeculae within its interior structure expressing a “honey coumbed,” “soap bubble,” or “tennis racket” appearance [1, 7]. A unilocular appearance may be seen more commonly in children and in anterior parts of the jaws. Root resorption is rarely seen, and the tumor is often scalloped between the roots [6]. OMs are not encapsulated, thus promoting significant infiltration into the adjacent medullar bone [4]. The OM exhibits abundant extracellular production of ground substance and thin fibrils by the delicate spindle-shaped cells. These undifferentiated mesenchymal cells are capable of
An Assessment of Antibacterial Activity of Four Endodontic Sealers on Enterococcus faecalis by a Direct Contact Test: An In Vitro Study

Abstract: Aim. To evaluate the antibacterial activity of four endodontic sealers on Enterococcus faecalis by a direct contact test. Material and Methods. Enterococcus faecalis was used as a test organism. Direct contact test which is based on measuring the effect of close contact between test bacteria and tested material on the kinetics of bacterial growth was performed to overcome the disadvantages of agar diffusion test. The sealers tested were zinc oxide eugenol-based sealer, glass-ionomer-based sealer, polydimethyl-siloxane-based sealer, and urethane dimethacrylate resin-based sealer. Data was collected by recording the optical density with the help of a spectrophotometer. Results. The sealers exhibited different inhibitory effects. The results obtained were subjected to statistical analysis by Kruskal Wallis analysis of variance and Dunn's multiple comparison test. Group comparison showed very highly significant difference between the groups. Conclusion. Zinc oxide eugenol-based sealer was the most effective and urethane dimethacrylate resin-based sealer was the least effective against Enterococcus faecalis, whereas glass-ionomer-based and polydimethyl-siloxane-based sealers were effective only for a short period. Inhibition of the bacterial growth is related to the direct contact of the microorganism with the sealer. 1. Introduction Bacteria or their byproducts are considered to be the primary etiological agents of pulpal necrosis and periapical lesions [1]. The main objective of endodontic therapy is therefore to eliminate bacteria from the infected root canal [2]. The majority of the bacteria found in the root canal system may be eliminated by the biomechanical cleaning and shaping of the root canal space. Failure of the root canal treatment is the result of microorganisms persisting in the apical portion of the root canal system, even in well-treated teeth [3] due to the anatomical complexities of many root canals, such as dentinal tubules, ramifications, deltas, and fins which cannot be sufficiently cleaned, even after meticulous mechanical procedures. Enterococcus faecalis is a recalcitrant candidate among the many causative agents of failed endodontic treatment [4]. 38% of the failed root canal systems were contaminated with Enterococcus faecalis [5]. Chronic failure of an endodontically treated tooth is due to ability of E. faecalis to bind to the collagen of the dentinal tubule and remain viable within the tubules [6]. These microorganisms have the ability to grow even in a low-nutrient environment and can survive in the root canals as a

Theoretical Economics Letters (TEL) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/tel.2018.87090
Abstract: This study talks about the inter-linkage of strategy and entrepreneurship and the emergence of strategic entrepreneurship concept. It explores the overlap between strategy, entrepreneurship and the nature of entrepreneurial strategy making construct (EO). The key purpose of this research is to study the EO construct, which takes into consideration both the strategic and entrepreneurial behavior of the firm and the key dimensions comprising this construct. Lumpkin and Dess’s conceptualized entrepreneurial orientation (EO) construct as comprising of five dimensions, innovativeness, risk-taking, pro-activeness, competitive aggressiveness and autonomy, which vary independently. The study proposes a model linking cultural dimensions and strategic entrepreneurship (EO) and its influence on firm growth. The study puts forward an argument that those countries which display certain cultural aspects will have a strong EO, hence contributing to firm growth.
Time Efficient Radio Broadcasting in Planar Graphs
Fredrik Manne,Qin Xin
Journal of Networks , 2008, DOI: 10.4304/jnw.3.2.9-16
Abstract: We study the communication primitive of broadcasting (one-to-all communication) in known topology radio networks, i.e., where for each primitive the schedule of transmissions is precomputed based on full knowledge about the size and the topology of the network. We show that radio broadcasting can be completed in D + O(log n) time units in planar graphs of size n, and with diameter D. This improves the currently best known D+O(log3 n) time schedule proposed by Elkin and Kortsarz in [16] [SODA’05], and 3D time schedule due to G asieniec, Peleg and Xin in [23] [PODC’05]. In this paper, we also explore broadcasting in radio networks in the presence of edge failures.
Fast Approximate Matrix Multiplication by Solving Linear Systems
Shiva Manne,Manjish Pal
Computer Science , 2014,
Abstract: In this paper, we present novel deterministic algorithms for multiplying two $n \times n$ matrices approximately. Given two matrices $A,B$ we return a matrix $C'$ which is an \emph{approximation} to $C = AB$. We consider the notion of approximate matrix multiplication in which the objective is to make the Frobenius norm of the error matrix $C-C'$ arbitrarily small. Our main contribution is to first reduce the matrix multiplication problem to solving a set of linear equations and then use standard techniques to find an approximate solution to that system in $\tilde{O}(n^2)$ time. To the best of our knowledge this the first examination into designing quadratic time deterministic algorithms for approximate matrix multiplication which guarantee arbitrarily low \emph{absolute error} w.r.t. Frobenius norm.

Techne Series : Research in Sloyd Education and Craft Science A , 2011,
Abstract: Constructing a unique craft quality theory for artifact production is an essential part of sloyd teacher students′ research studies during which students are faced with establishing the perspectives of craft methodology for the master s thesis. The student s craft quality theory construction is based not only on his inherent needs or problems with the product and process but on constructing and testing the theory as a whole. To construct a craft quality theory based on the discipline knowledge of sloyd education, the student shall define the values representing the craft as well as its unseen qualities. The purpose of this article is to describe the perspectives sloyd teacher students (N69) apply to craft quality theory construction in their master s theses. The perspectives applicable to constructing a craft quality theory are based on the idea of educational growth towards research-based crafts teachership. The main results constitute the analyses of students craft research tasks and craft quality targets defined as theory constructions. In conclusion, the results are compared to the perspectives in theory construction in the capacity of a craft quality theory framework.
