International Review of Management and Business Research , 2012, DOI: 20/12/2012
Abstract: All over the world every business and profit earning firm want to make their consumer loyal. There are many factors responsible for this customer loyalty but two of them are prominent. This research study is focused on that how customer satisfaction and customer retention contribute towards customer loyalty. For analysis part of this study, Universities students of Peshawar Region were targeted. A sample of 120 were selected from three universities of Peshawar. These universities were Preston University, Sarhad University and City University of Science and Information technology. Analysis was conducted with the help of SPSS 19. Results of the study shows that customer loyalty is more dependent upon Customer satisfaction in comparison of customer retention. Customer perceived value and customer perceived quality are the major factors which contribute for the customer loyalty of Universities students for mobile handsets.

Management & Marketing , 2012,
Abstract: The higher education scenario in Pakistan has gone through tremendous changes and improvements in the last decade. Competition resulting from a sudden surge in the number of higher education imparting institutions and the active role of Higher Education Commission has increased the pressure on the universities to continuously enhance the quality of educational services being provided by them. The aim of the researchers in this endeavor is to employ decentering in order to assess the quality of services being provided by the universities. The study has used the SERVQUAL tool by Parasuraman, Zeithmal and Berry (1991) on a five point Liker scale in order to gauge the responses of the students. Analysis was conducted on a total of 156 valid questionnaires. The sample included the students of the top five HEC (Higher Education Commission) recognized universities in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Data was analyzed using Pearson correlation and regression. Factor analysis was also carried out so as to classify the most important dimensions for the students with respect to higher education in Pakistan. Statistical analysis disclosed a positive and significant association between service quality and customer satisfaction. The factor analysis revealed that the most significant dimension with respect to the Pakistan’s higher education sector are the level of management support, responsiveness of the service providers and the adequacy of physical facilities. The study highlights the importance of treating students as valued customers as the competition in the industry along with the regulatory requirements of HEC as well. The service providers need to be provided adequate support and backing of the top management. The physical facilities and the infrastructure must also be adequate enough to meet the growing and ever changing demands of the industry. The current study is the first of its kind that covers the higher education imparting institutions in Pakistan. Further it is suggested that more and more such researchers be conducted periodically in the future with an increased sample size in order to assess quality.
Entrepreneur as an authentic leader: A study of small and medium sized enterprises in Pakistan
Taimoor Abid,Mohsin Altaf,Usman Yousaf,Mohammad Majid Mehmood Bagram
Management Science Letters , 2012,
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to explore the authentic leadership styles of an entrepreneurs and its impact on employee’s commitment and satisfaction. By using the authentic leadership model, this study seeks to give a tentative test of the connection among employees’ awareness of the business creator as an authentic leader and the employees’ attitudes. Findings are that the opinion of employees’ about authentic leadership serves as the intoxicating analyst of employee job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
Impact of Teacher Turn over on Students Motivation, Psyche and Performance.

International Review of Management and Business Research , 2012, DOI: 20/12/2012
Abstract: In Education sector the role of teachers is important because they are responsible for the growth and building of students. In certain institutions teacher turnover has been observed. This research is conducted that how teacher turnover influence the performance of the students. For the purpose the private universities of Peshawar Pakistan were targeted to identify the impact of teacher turn over on the student’s performance. Study use randomly two private university and take the previous teacher turnover record. These two universities were Preston University Peshawar and City University of Science and Information technology Peshawar Pakistan. Study use descriptive statistics and correlation analysis part of this research. From the data analysis it is found that teacher’s turnover do have effects on the students motivation, performance as well as the psychological effects. The correlation between the three variables shows that motivation and performance have positive relation with each other while psyche plays its part in both positive and negative relations which concludes that even if the student is motivated and performing well, he takes burden, perceives things which cause burden, tension and depression.

Journal of Software Engineering and Applications (JSEA) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/jsea.2014.74029
Abstract:

Formal methods can be used at any stage of product development process to improve the software quality and efficiency using mathematical models for analysis and verification. From last decade, researchers and practitioners are trying to establish successful transfer of practices of formal methods into industrial process development. In the last couple of years, numerous analysis approaches and formal methods have been applied in different settings to improve software quality. In today’s highly competitive software development industry, companies are striving to deliver fast with low cost and improve quality solutions and agile methodologies have proved their efficiency in acquiring these. Here, we will present an integration of formal methods, specifications and verification practices in the most renowned process development methodology of agile i.e. extreme programming with a conceptual solution. That leads towards the development of a complete formalized XP process in future. This will help the practitioners to understand the effectiveness of formal methods using in agile methods that can be helpful in utilizing the benefits of formal methods in industry.

Analysis of the Magnetic Flux Density, the Magnetic Force and the Torque in a 3D Brushless DC Motor  [PDF]
Majid Pakdel
Journal of Electromagnetic Analysis and Applications (JEMAA) , 2009, DOI: 10.4236/jemaa.2009.11001
Abstract: As permanent magnet motors and generators produce torque, vibration occurs through the small air gap due to the alternating magnetic forces created by the rotating permanent magnets and the current switching of the coils. The magnetic force can be calculated from the flux density by finite element methods and the Maxwell stress tensor in cy-lindrical coordinates. In this paper the magnetic flux density, the magnetic force and the torque of a real three dimen-sional brushless DC motor are simulated using Maxwell 3 D V 11.1.
Numerical Study of Fluid Flow over Bundle Tubes  [PDF]
Majid Almas
Journal of Electronics Cooling and Thermal Control (JECTC) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/jectc.2016.63010
Abstract: In this paper, a bank of tubes containing a flowing fluid which is immersed in a cross flow second medium of fluid with different temperature has been studied numerically using computational fluid dynamics. Laminar steady flow with a low Reynolds number has been studied in this work. Inlet mass flow rate and the bulk temperature are known and numerical method has been implemented to study the convective heat transfer to investigate the temperature and flow fields. Effects of different inlet bulk temperatures and mass flow rates have been investigated on temperature and pressure variations.
Evaluating impact of demerit points system on speeding behavior of drivers
Arif Mehmood
European Transport Research Review , 2010, DOI: 10.1007/s12544-010-0027-0
Abstract: The results revealed that the demerit points system has statistically no significant impact on the speeding behavior of drivers in Al Ain. One of the plausible reasons for insignificance affect of the demerit point system could be the lack of effective traffic monitoring system. This study recommends that to influence the drivers’ behavior an effective traffic monitoring system should be provided to achieve the desired outcomes of introducing tougher laws such as demerit point system. The study also recommends to collect more data to investigate the changes in the speeding behavior of drivers.
