On the Birman-Schwinger principle applied to (-Delta + m^2)^(1/2) - m
Marco Maceda
Physics , 2006, DOI: 10.1063/1.2179049
Abstract: The condition for E = 0 to be an eigenvalue of the operator (-Delta + m^2)^(1/2) -m + l V is obtained through the use of the Birman-Schwinger principle. By setting E=-a^2 and using the analyticity of the corresponding Birman-Schwinger kernel, the series development of (l^(-1))(a) is obtained up to second order on a.
Biología y conservación del águila Coronada (Harpyhaliaetus coronatus) en Argentina
Maceda,Juan José;
El hornero , 2007,
Abstract: the crowned eagle (harpyhaliaetus coronatus) is one of the largest raptors in argentina. it has been recently categorized as endangered, with an estimated population of <1000 individuals. despite its broad geographical distribution in southern south america, its biology and ecology are poorly known. most of the information on this species was based on occasional records of individuals. in this study i provide 110 unpublished observations in la pampa province during 1999-2007. in 1995-2007, 15 active nests were discovered in la pampa province, 9 in mendoza and 2 in formosa. egg laying (of a single egg) extends from august to october, and hatching occurs in november-december. crowned eagle's diet is composed by a large variety of preys (mainly armadillos and snakes) and carrion. the species has been reported in 72 important bird areas (ibas) in argentina, including 10 national parks and 12 natural areas. based on this evidence i suggest bosques teltecas (mendoza) and jagüel del monte (la pampa) as priority areas for research intensification and conservation of the crowned eagle. future research should focus on the estimation of population parameters, on banding and on satellital tracking of individuals. besides, i propose a series of recommendations to avoid nest losses during the breeding season. research should be accompanied by activities involving settlers and the general public so they enhance their knowledge of these birds and collaborate with their conservation.
Régimen de Coparticipación de la Provincia de Misiones
Maceda,José Garzón;
Visi?3n de futuro , 2011,
Abstract: this paper analyzes the mechanism of co participation between different levels of government in argentina and seeks, as its central objective, to give an explanation of the failure to find a way to reform the current system since 1988, despite the many project laws presented in the context of the house of representatives of misiones. first, one traces the origin of co participation in misiones and any alterations up to the current scheme was established in 1998. secondly, a brief analysis of population trends of misiones to try to show that it is necessary to reform the mechanism for allocating resources for municipalities to later look into the various proposals for reform that took place in the house of representatives of misiones, so that finally and as a conclusion and outline brief hypotheses to explain the difficulties to find consensus even with province consensus to achieve change.
Los Recursos del Estado como Eje del Desarrollo Municipal en Misiones
Garzón Maceda,José;
Visi?3n de futuro , 2010,
Abstract: this article aims to present a proposal from which one seeks to promote economic and human development in the municipalities of misiones by means of the creation of a municipal internet by implementing more efficient application criteria for the resources. the paper provides a short outline of the theoretical framework where the proposal is set out, which has three pillars: the theory of decentralization, the municipal and the association theory. having established this, one examines the legal framework of the municipalities in the national constitution, the misiones constitution and specific laws which regulate the municipal performance, and then move towards the study of the current situation of the municipalities, focusing on financial resources of 17 municipalities in the province of misiones. after this brief diagnosis we enter fully into the proposal to be developed in depth: detailing the players involved, their funding sources, their objectives, the executive body through which they will implement the program and the assignation criteria of allocation of resources recommended so that the implementation of the proposal be efficient.
The Noncommutative Ward Metric

Symmetry, Integrability and Geometry : Methods and Applications , 2010,
Abstract: We analyze the moduli-space metric in the static nonabelian charge-two sector of the Moyal-deformed CP^1 sigma model in 1+2 dimensions. After carefully reviewing the commutative results of Ward and Ruback, the noncommutative K hler potential is expanded in powers of dimensionless moduli. In two special cases we sum the perturbative series to analytic expressions. For any nonzero value of the noncommutativity parameter, the logarithmic singularity of the commutative metric is expelled from the origin of the moduli space and possibly altogether.
Modes of Resistance in a Globalizing Popular Culture Industry
Teresita Gimenez Maceda
Kasarinlan : Philippine Journal of Third World Studies , 1996,
Abstract: Some contend that increasing globalization will blur the lines between nations and cultures because the world will become one global village that partakes of one culture. In the Philippines, however, instantaneous accessing of global information and cultural products remains a privilege only of an elite minority. The economic and social condition of the majority has not changed dramatically since the colonial period. It is, therefore, difficult to imagine that within a decade or two, globalization will remove national boundaries and obliterate differences between and among cultures. The Philippine experience also shows that the seemingly powerful influence on the American Popular culture and industry and the onslaught of American pop culture products have not resulted in the wholesale Americanization of Filipino pop culture products. Certainly, pop culture forms were borrowed but producers altered the formula and content to articulate their own view of the world and the Filipino self. Today, the Filipinization of television and has reclaimed for the mass audience their space and power. This process initially resulted from liberalization of, and experimentation in, the media and recently from the migration of English shows to cable TV. For the popular culture industry in the Philippines, therefore, globalization is turning out to be beneficial. The technology enables producers to reach out to Filipino communities worldwide and, at the same time, arms the regions with the means to speak. We are witnessing not uniformity but multi-cultural diversity.
The Culture of Resistance: A Study of Protest Songs from 1972-1980
Teresita Gimenez-Maceda
Kasarinlan : Philippine Journal of Third World Studies , 1985,
Abstract: Under the imposition of Martial Law, certain affects in the field of culture have occurred such as full control of the media by the government and the neutralization of naturalist ideas. Because of this, a culture of resistance developed, with song at the forefront, for raising issues suppressed by government-controlled media, for being the forum for dissent and counter-consciousness, and for embodying the historical document of the times. Famous poets, such as Heber Bartolome and Jess Santiago understood the effectiveness of song as a messenger of resistance, and even though theill pending with the Regional Trial Courts, one of the two first-level courts in the country, accounting for the most number of cases at around 343,875. In total 815,431 cases are pending before the Philippine judiciary from the Supreme Court down to the Shari’ah Circuit Courts as of July last year.
La expulsión de los espa oles en Puebla y el perfil de los exceptuados, 1827-1828
Gamboa, Leticia,Maceda, Emilio
Revista de Indias , 2003,
Abstract: In 1827, Mexico began a process that lead, the following year, to the first expulsion of Spaniards. This article studies the particular case which took place in the state of Puebla. It examines a specific group Spaniards who were exempted from the expulsion, which encompasses some 163 persons who, through the details stated by them in their sworn declarations -recorded in documents not explored until now-, offered a profile which, in spite of variations, was similar to the general profile of Spaniards who preceded them.
