Tuning Entanglement Patterns in Qubits Clusters  [PDF]

We identify patterns of ground state entanglement, or quantum discord, in qubit clusters with three and four qubits, that are induced by varying the couplings between next-nearest neighbors in the clusters. We show that these entanglement patterns can be associated with continuous multiply connected regions in parameter space, on which entanglement quantifiers, such as the pairwise concurrence, exhibit a particular type of behavior as a function of the couplings between next-nearest neighbors in the cluster. We present the distinct patterns in diagrams in parameter space with continuous boundary lines and we associate each pattern to a specific type of pure quantum correlation. We propose this procedure as a simple method to identify useful classes of pure quantum correlations in qubit networks.

Abstract: this article is the result of a study-group experience on phenomenological research upon psychology. such group was formed in april 1998, and ended in march 1999, being under the author’s guidance during that time. during weekly and bi-weekly meetings of two or three hours time, texts about phenomenology and its influence upon knowledge and in psychology research have been discussed, emphasizing the clinical area. the research served as an opportunity to the group members learn about the phenomenological method through real life experiences, as well as to develop a clinical study on the meaningful learning process.

Abstract: this study shows an analysis of the impact of organization culture and the psycho-dynamics of power on the decision process in a familly firm. the investigation, based on case study methods, used participant observation and interviews with directors and managers of a familiar firm in brazil. the data had been analyzed using pagès psycho-dynamic approach and lane′s graphical discourse analysis. it was found that the organization priorizes and emphatizes the affective relations, mutual confidence, loyalty, length of service and dedication and uses these as criteria for promotions. managers- subordinates relations was marked by both authoritarianism and paternalism. verbal communication and personal contacts were preferred. the decision process tended to be improvised, during which consensus and also influenced by power and cultural relations based on emotional factors having their origin in family questions.

Abstract: our aim in this study was to check if the contents of the mental health subject area may permeate the courses forming the undergraduate program in nursing, by describing the experience developed in a public university and by getting to know what the academics' perception of that practice was. twenty-seven students took part in the research. a questionnaire was used. concerning the introduction of the mental health subject area in other disciplines, 18,5% of the respondents claimed it was great, 70,5% said it was good, and 11% considered it as regular. as to its applicability, 7,5% got to use what they had learned, 81,5% used it sometimes, but they believe it is of use, and 11% of the respondents didn't get to use it, but believe it can be used. the application of the mental health subject area contents to several courses in the nursing program is perceived by students as a basis for a global health care to be supplied to customers, family, and community.

Abstract: firstly, this work undertakes a task of retrieving the historical role of evangelista torricelli in order to show his importance for the study of the uniformly variable rectilinear motion; it also analyzes the way of how the equation ν2 = ν20 + 2aδs is shown to high school pupils in the study of this motion through course books and the behavior of the teachers towards it. lastly, it shows how the history of physics may contribute to give a meaningful sense to the study of certain scientific concepts.

Abstract: Este artigo constitui-se de uma reflex o sobre Estado, sociedade e análise de políticas públicas. Focalizamos nossa discuss o na política educacional brasileira, empreendida a partir dos anos de 1990 marcada, fortemente por tra os neoliberais. Entre os autores pesquisados destacamos: Anderson (2008), Bobbio (1992), Frey ( 2000), Souza ( 2006), entre outros. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter bibliográfico, em que buscamos explicitar as diferentes perspectivas de análise política e de Estado /sociedade na tentativa de compreender o contexto político educacional brasileiro. Os resultados, preliminares, evidenciaram que a abordagem neoinstitucionalista é uma perspectiva de análise de política promissora para a área. Por fim, é importante, no processo de avalia o das políticas públicas, ampliar nossas lentes teóricas para compreendermos o entrela amento do processo político com a política e, com as respectivas institui es, além do estilo político do governo em a o.
