Fault Diagnosis Based on ANN for Turn-to-Turn Short Circuit of Synchronous Generator Rotor Windings  [PDF]
H. Z. MA, L. PU
Journal of Electromagnetic Analysis and Applications (JEMAA) , 2009, DOI: 10.4236/jemaa.2009.13028
Abstract: Rotor winding turn-to-turn short circuit is a common electrical fault in steam turbines. When turn-to-turn short circuit fault happens to rotor winding of the generator, the generator terminal parameters will change. According to these parameters, the conditions of the rotor winding can be reflected. However, it is hard to express the relations between fault information and generator terminal parameters in accurate mathematical formula. The satisfactory results in fault diagnosis can be obtained by the application of neural network. In general, the information about the severity level of the generator faults can be acquired directly when the faulty samples are found in the training samples of neural network. However, the faulty samples are difficult to acquire in practice. In this paper, the relations among active power, reactive power and excitation current are discovered by analyzing the generator mmf with terminal voltage constant. Depending on these relations, a novel diagnosis method of generator rotor winding turn-to-turn short circuit fault is proposed by using ANN method to obtain the fault samples directly, without destructive tests.

Abstract: from a perspective located at a considerable distance from an admission without any problematics of the cultural program of the dominican humanist pedro henríquez ure?a, we propose a critical reading of the theory of miscegenation as a source of harmony and sociocultural integration of hispanic-america that threads a great amount of the author′s texts. our working hypothesis tries to question the idea of miscegenation, in which the autochthonous and spanish elements interfere, and functions at the mercy of some strategic selections; for example, the clipping of an image of spanish america at the expense of the caribbean area and, consequently, of other existing ethnic reserves. on the other hand, we propose that the resource of the merger or miscegenation does not prove, at last, a sly way of eluding the conflict and cultural instability of the continent. finally, we wish to consider the reasons for which he sticks fast and firmly to humanism as a suitable doctrine to set the course for an argumentation of harmony for these very different elements, without neglecting any positivists notes which might last in the allusions to race.

Abstract: in this work we try to make the methodology of the networks work in the field of the literary studies. nevertheless, we have initially carried out a review of the network’s notions and we discussed some of the existing theoretical orientations. the general aim is to reveal the ways allowed by the networks, across their frameworks, the transfer of cultural topics (ideas, modes, trends, etc.) by doing it without personal contacts or by not being these determinants. also, the way the networks prepare the scenario in which an idea can emerge triumphant and get to be imposed in a certain space. the case that we will see, with only an exemplary value, will be the one of the spanish-american modernism, but the heuristic capacity of the networks certainly does not run out with it.

Abstract: in the present work we attempt to relate maladrón, the novel by miguel angel asturias, to the latin american literary context, by virtue of which it has not yet been properly studied. strictly speaking, none of the characteristics that seymour menton attributes to the nueva novela histórica (nnh) is present in this novel, so from his point of view, it would not belong to this literary phenomenon, but on the other hand, it cannot be said that it is a traditional historical novel. this text can be considered without a doubt as a precursor of the literary phenomenon of the nnh. in agreement with the historical conception of the guatemalan writer, the novel takes from distant events a substance that could be denominated "perpetual values" that are inlaid in those events. its interest is not archaeological nor does it attempt to reinterpret in a slanted manner an episode of american history, such as the spanish conquest. it seeks to penetrate the facts in order to discover what they contain of immemorial, perennial, and what still remains active in the present. such a contribution in itself situates this novel among the best of the historical narrative previous to the appearance of novels of doubtless quality, such as those of carpentier, vargas llosa, garcía márquez, etc. according to our analysis, the perpetual values of permanent incidence revolve around geographic myth and eschatological utopia
Abstract: the geopolitics of the culture in spanish america, have brought into play certain places (metropolitan headquarters), some media (magazines, publishing companies) and the networks. it is as well as certain studies have been dedicated to approach the textual production to the headquarters or spaces of production in different moments of the spanish-american culture. we share the insertion of the intellectual's figure made by christophe prochasson in a triad identified with his places ('lieux') of meeting and activity, with his means ('milieux') of expression and communication and with the complex network of relations ('réseaux') that he weaves around it, and not as a prisoner of his speech, isolated of his environment, but to the collective dimension of the intellectual one, the order of his speech surrenders. in this order, three vertexes (places, medias and networks) reached special transcendency as we will be able to estimate in the cases of the modernism and romanticism.
Abstract: comical, humor and ironic consciousness belonging to orders heterogeneous but involved. what imbricates these notions, however, is the capacity to infringe the rules that make up the real, sensing so a different harmony. humor has achieved, through the suspension of the "prevailing reality", to create other verbal worlds which dampen the hardness of the unjust reality, also has been a dominant factor in the revision of american history, since than through the use of parody, satire, the carnivalization has demystified the heroic pantheon of our history.

Inthepresent workwe proposed adescription ofan imagined community, which underthenameoP'homeland intellectual"(aconceptcoined byJose Enrique Rodó) took effect during the late nineteenth century and early XX. This imagined intellectual community has a transatlantic bringing together both Spanish literary expressions as Hispano-Americans. The methodology hasenabled usto the taskisthatof intellectual networks, as this community isconfiguredthrough letters, journals, mutual citations, trips, all instruments own systems relegation in a network.
