Abstract: the aim of this paper is to determine explanatory models for the competitiveness of spanish aquaculture, contrasting the effect of endogenous factors on the theory of resources and capacities in the above-mentioned models. after the obligatory theoretical review, the methodology consists of contrasting and verifying two hypotheses about the applicability of the above-mentioned theory to empirical research that combines results from a survey and ratios extracted from the sabi database of 99 spanish aquaculture companies (using the spss and amos programs). the results obtained (factorial and path models of structural equations) indicate the differential incidence or prevalence of certain variables over others contained in the theory, for the case of competitiveness in spanish aquaculture. from the re-specification of the proposed models, we can conclude that the competitiveness of spanish aquaculture relates to the generation of value, productivity, size, innovation and specialization.

Abstract: The present work centres on the analysis of the employment of the railroad on the Galician companies, specially on those that exchange with operators of another part of the European region. Underlined the residual use of the above mentioned infrastructure forehead the massive employment of the truck, we penetrate into the analysis of the explanatory factors of the modal choice and the eventual substitution into the use of the infrastructures of terrestrial transport. The statistical study complemented the reference to representative companies of the industrial sectors that move most of the value of the transactions, with the principal shipping agencies of regular lines, from or face the port of Vigo. The gap that tries to cover work is to answer to real needs of the companies with regard to improvement of infrastructure (according to it picks up the memory of the project that gives coverage to the work and requires the Council of Economy and Property), identifying models of preferences of the potential users; thus two explained structural equation models of the modal choice and its effect on the referred replacement are suggested. Coming finally to the conclusion of which both companies and logistic operators value the need of the advance of the infrastructures for the commented link, though for all of them there is more priority a clear liberalization of the market of railway operators, being the current service very deficient. In this point the sensibility to the change is bigger in the logistic operators that in the companies.

Open Journal of Pathology (OJPathology) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/ojpathology.2017.71003
Abstract: We present a case of a myxoid and lipomatous solitary fibrous tumor that was observed in a 67-year-old man. The tumor, which had a maximum diameter of 10 cm, was located in the soft tissues of the dorsal region and appeared macroscopically well delimited and encapsulated. Upon cutting, a markedly gelatinous internal surface was observed. A microscopic study revealed an intense and diffusely myxoid neoplasia, with small areas of adipose aspect, in which histological (staghorn vessels, perivascular hyalinization, fusiform cells of benign aspect) and immunohistochemical (intensive positivity for CD34, Bcl-2 and Cd99 and negativity for muscle markers) data were consistent with a solitary fibrous tumor were observed. To conclude, the main characteristics of this lesion are discussed, and a differential diagnosis is established with other entities.
Biotechnology and Conservation of Plant Biodiversity

Resources , 2013, DOI: 10.3390/resources2020073
Abstract: Advances in plant biotechnology provide new options for collection, multiplication and short- to long-term conservation of plant biodiversity, using in vitro culture techniques. Significant progress has been made for conserving endangered, rare, crop ornamental, medicinal and forest species, especially for non-orthodox seed and vegetatively propagated plants of temperate and tropical origin. Cell and tissue culture techniques ensure the rapid multiplication and production of plant material under aseptic conditions. Medium-term conservation by means of in vitro slow growth storage allows extending subcultures from several months to several years, depending on the species. Cryopreservation (liquid nitrogen, ?196 °C) is the only technique ensuring the safe and cost-effective long-term conservation of a wide range of plant species. Cryopreservation of shoot tips is also being applied to eradicate systemic plant pathogens, a process termed cryotherapy. Slow growth storage is routinely used in many laboratories for medium-conservation of numerous plant species. Today, the large-scale, routine application of cryopreservation is still restricted to a limited number of cases. However, the number of plant species for which cryopreservation techniques are established and validated on a large range of genetically diverse accessions is increasing steadily.

Parry-Romberg's syndrome or progressive hemifacial atrophy, Romberg's disease, or facial trophoneurosis as it is also called, was described by Parry in 1925 and by Romberg in 1926. It is considered an uncommon craniofacial malformation in the daily practice and at early ages, since it is a progressive disease that usually appears in adolescence. It is characterized by the atrophy of the fatty tissue (cellular subcutaneous), skin, facial muscles and in some cases the bones and cartilages of a side of the face may be affected. Its evolution lasts from 2 to 12 years, but it may stop at any time. Its early diagnosis, as well as an adequate treatment plan are important and they should be made by a multidisciplinary team to achieve a good functional and psychological development and the establishment of a good relation of occlusion that improves the facial harmony and increases the quality of life of these patients. The objective of this paper is to show a case that has been treated by the multidisciplinary team of Maxillofacial Surgery of the Pediatric Hospital of Centro Habana.
