Abstract: High-quality p-type boron-doped IIb diamond large single crystals are successfully synthesized by the temperature gradient method in a china-type cubic anvil high-pressure apparatus at about 5.5 GPa and 1600 K. The morphologies and surface textures of the synthetic diamond crystals with different boron additive quantities are characterized by using an optical microscope and a scanning electron microscope respectively. The impurities of nitrogen and boron in diamonds are detected by micro Fourier transform infrared technique. The electrical properties including resistivities, Hall coefficients, Hall mobilities and carrier densities of the synthesized samples are measured by a four-point probe and the Hall effect method. The results show that large p-type boron-doped diamond single crystals with few nitrogen impurities have been synthesized. With the increase of quantity of additive boron, some high-index crystal faces such as 113 gradually disappear, and some stripes and triangle pits occur on the crystal surface. This work is helpful for the further research and application of boron-doped semiconductor diamond.
High Pressure Synthesis and Thermoelectric Properties of the Ba-filled Skutterudites

Abstract: Polycrystalline skutterudite compounds BaxCo4Sb12 (0.2≤x≤0.8) were successfully synthesized by solid state reaction under high pressure (2-5GPa). The crystallographic figures and microstructure were characterized by X-ray diffraction and electron probe microanalysis separately. Seebeck coefficient and electrical resistivity were measured at room temperature. The results show that high-pressure synthesis method can improve the Ba-filled content effectively. The samples have few micro-pores with fine-grai1ned structure, their grain diameter sizes are in the micro-nanometer range. The maximum power factor value of the sample Ba0.8Co4Sb12 obtained at 4.25GPa is 13.19μW/(cm·K2).
HPHT Synthesis of Different Shape Coarse-Grain Diamond Single Crystals

Abstract: Synthesis of coarse-grain diamond crystals is studied in a China-type SPD6×1670T cubic high-pressure apparatus with high exact control system. Tosynthesize high quality coarse-grain diamond crystals, advanced indirect heat assembly, powder catalyst technology and optimized synthesis craft are used. At last, three kinds of coarse-grain diamond (about 0.85mm) single crystals with hexahedron, hex-octahedron and octahedron are synthesized successfully under HPHT (about 5.4GPa, 1300-1450°). The growth charactersof different shape crystals are discussed. The results and techniques might be useful for the production of coarse-grain diamonds.

Abstract: 2004年8月—2007年7月,用非淹没培养皿法和活体观察法对桃花沟森林公园及符家滩土壤肉鞭虫的群落特征进行了研究。共鉴定出肉鞭虫75种,在桃花沟森林公园的土壤中鉴定出肉鞭虫69种,隶属于4纲10目22科33属,其中桃花沟景区的土壤肉鞭虫58种,普渡峡景区33种;而受人为干扰较为严重的符家滩的土样中鉴定出22种。在桃花沟森林公园土壤肉鞭虫群落中,金滴目、动基体目和变形目为其优势类群;星状棘变虫、噬棘变虫、气球屋滴虫、球形波豆虫、卵形波豆虫和变形泡虫为其优势种。符家滩土壤肉鞭虫群落中,眼虫目、金滴目和动基体目为其优势类群;卵形波豆虫为其优势种。桃花沟景区、普渡峡景区和符家滩土壤肉鞭虫的Gleason-Margalef物种多样性指数分别为6.60、4.00和3.20;桃花沟景区与普渡峡景区土壤肉鞭虫的Jaccard群落相似性系数为0.32,桃花沟景区、普渡峡景区与符家滩土壤肉鞭虫的群落相似性系数分别为0.18和0.20。结果表明,桃花沟森林公园土壤肉鞭虫物种丰富,特有和稀有物种繁多,群落结构复杂,群落组成具有鲜明的独特性,同时也表明自然环境与受人为干扰的环境中土壤肉鞭虫物种多样性和群落结构有显著差异。
Effects of Al and Ti/Cu on Synthesis of Type-IIa Diamond Crystals in Ni70Mn25Co5-C System at HPHT

Abstract: High-quality type-IIa gem diamond crystals are successfully synthesized in a Ni70Mn25Co5-C system by temperature gradient method (TGM) at about 5.5GPa and 1560K. Al and Ti/Cu are used as nitrogen getters respectively. While nitrogen getter Al or Ti/Cu is added into the synthesis system, some inclusions and caves tend to be introduced into the crystals. When Al is added into the solvent alloy, we would hardly gain high-quality type-IIa diamond crystals with nitrogen concentration Nc< 1ppm because of the reversible reaction of Al and N at high pressure and high temperature (HPHT). However, when Ti/Cu is added into the solvent alloy, high-quality type-IIa diamond crystals with Nc < 1ppm can be grown by decreasing the growth rate of diamonds.

Abstract: In the title centrosymmetric mononuclear copper(II) complex, [Cu(C8H7BrNO2)2], the CuII atom, lying on an inversion centre, is four-coordinated in a trans-CuN2O2 square-planar geometry by two phenolate O atoms and two oxime N atoms from two symmetry-related N,O-bidentate oxime-type ligands. Intermolecular C—H...O hydrogen bonds link neighbouring molecules into a one-dimensional supramolecular structure with an R22(14) ring motif. This structure is further stabilized by π–π stacking interactions between adjacent benzene rings [centroid–centroid distance = 3.862 (1) ].
Finite Element Analysis of Convection in Growth Cell for Diamond Growth Using Ni-Based Solvent

Abstract: Thermal-electrical-fluid coupled finite element analyses are performed in the model of the growth cell in a high-pressure and high-temperature (HPHT) cubic apparatus in which the large diamond crystal can be grown by using Ni-based solvent with temperature gradient method (TGM). The convection in the Ni-based solvent with different thicknesses at 1700-1800K is simulated by finite element method (FEM). The experiments of diamond crystal growth are also carried out by using Ni-based solvent at 5.7GPa and 1700-1800K in a China-type cubic high pressure apparatus (CHPA). The simulation results show that the Rayleigh number in the solvent is enhanced obviously with the increasing solvent thickness. Good quality diamond single crystal cannot be grown if the Rayleigh number in the solvent is too high.
