Constructing Average Interpolating Wavelets Via Lifting Scheme

Abstract: Lifting scheme, the new hotspot of wavelets research, can be used to implement the existent wavelets and to construct completely new wavelets. Seen from the theory of lifting scheme, any transform constructed by lifting scheme is some kind of generalized wavelet transform. What's more, many digital signals are from the integral average of analog signals over certain interval or area. Considering the above two facts, the concept of average interpolating is presented in this paper. The average interpolating wavelet of 2 degree is constructed and is applied to image coding. After the wavelet transform for image data, Optimal Bit Allocation, which combines embedded quantization and entropy coding of binary system arithmetic coding together, is applied to get an optimal coding result by reaching the least distortion with the expected bits number. Finally, an image coding result is got as good as, if not better than, that of the D9/7 recommended by JPEG2000 draft. The lifting steps of the average interpolating wavelet is much simpler than that of the commonly used D9/7, which means the computational resources consumed here is much less.
A Lifting Scheme for Multiwavelet Transforms and its Application to Image Coding

Abstract: Lifting scheme is not only a fast algorithm of existing wavelet transforms, but also a tool to produce new wavelet transforms. Multiwavelets are a new kind of wavelets and have found many new applications to signal processing. In this paper we present a framework of lifting scheme for multiwavelet transforms, in which the existing lifting schemes designed originally for wavelet (not multiwavelet) transforms can be used as building blocks. Thus we needn't concern about the internal structures and parameters of these building blocks. What we need to do is to choose different wavelets for different applications and then make use of the lifting schemes for these wavelets to build a new lifting scheme. This new lifting scheme is equivalent to a multiwavelet transform. We build such a lifting scheme by using the lifting schemes for D9/7 biorthogonal wavelet transform and then apply this new lifting scheme to image coding. We have achieved better results than that obtained by the commonly-used GHM multiwavelet image coding.

Abstract: 基于线性反馈控制方法和Lyapunov稳定性理论,研究了参数不确定系统的混沌同步和参数辨识,设计了普遍适用的参数自适应控制律,理论证明设计的控制器可使得两个结构相同但参数不同的混沌系统渐近地达到同步,并且可以辨识出响应系统的未知参数. Lorenz系统和蔡氏电路的数值仿真进一步表明了该方法的有效性.

Abstract: The basic mathematic model and algorithm of independent component analysis and the apply of independent component analysis in noisy mixed images was discussed, a method was proposed of combining Wiener filtering de-noising and independent component analysis. The results show that this method can reduce the affect of noise, accordingly renew the original image.
Usage of blind source separation in single channel speech enhancement algorithm

Abstract: A new single channel speech enhancement algorithm was put forward. A pseudo noise source was used as the input of the multiple adaptive decorrelation (MAD) algorithm to get an improved speech signal. Moreover, Daubechies wavelet was adapted to transform the signal into wavelet domain. Proper threshold function was used to select wavelet coefficients, and then the signal into time domain was synthesized. Following the scheme provided above, we can get the speech signal with higher SNR and intelligibility.
Secure communication method for fast-varying information signal based on chaotic modulation

Abstract: A new secure communication method based on chaotic modulation is proposed. The parameter of the transmitting system procreated chaotic carrier is modulated by errors from an adaptive controller and information signal. At the same time, the information is directly multiplied by the chaotic carrier in transmission to drive the receiving system. In the receiver, another adaptive controller is used to maintain chaotic synchronization of the transmitting and receiving systems and to recover information signal. Since the synchronization error is independent of information signal,the chaotic modulation for large amplitude and fast varying information signals can be achieved. The results of theoretic analysis and numerical simulation show that the proposed method enhances the degree of security of low dimensional chaotic systems.
Unified projective synchronization of chaotic system

Abstract: A unified method for the projective synchronization of chaotic system is proposed in this paper. The universal model of chaotic projective synchronization is established by constructing a generalized proportion matrix and an appropriate response system. All kinds of synchronized schemes can be achieved by varying the generalized proportion matrix, including generalized projective synchronization, dislocated projective synchronization and generalized hybrid dislocated projective synchronization and so on. The stability analysis in the paper is proved using Lyapunov stability theory. Numerical simulations of generalized hybrid dislocated projective synchronization for multiscroll chaotic attractors system and hyperchaotic Qi system verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Modified function projective synchronization of a class of chaotic systems

Abstract: A general method of modifying function projective synchronization of a class of chaotic systems is proposed in this paper by designing a suitable response system. The two schemes of obtaining the response system from chaotic system are established based on unidirectional coupled synchronization. Since chaos synchronization can be achieved by transmitting only a single variable from driving system to response system, this method is more practical. The stability analysis in the paper is proved using Lyapunov stability theory. Numerical simulations of a hyperchaotic system verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Chaotic synchronization with diverse structures based on tracking control

Abstract: A tracking control method is proposed for chaotic synchronization with diverse structures. When the controlled system satisfies Lipchitz condition, it's proved by means of Lyapunov function that this method can make the controlled chaotic system approach to any desired smooth orbit at an exponenting rate. The model of a designed controller has unique structure for different chaotic systems, and synchronization between any chaotic systems can be achieved. Computer simulations are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
