Alteration of Enzyme Aspartate Transaminase in Goat Milk related to Udder health status
Khodke,M.V.,Bonde,S.W. and Ambade,R.B.
Veterinary World , 2009,
Abstract: The present experiment was conducted to study variations in milk SCC and pH, along with activity of whey enzyme Aspartate transaminase (AST) in relation to different udder health status of goats. The average values of milk SCC, pH, and AST differed significantly (P<0.01) among various udder health status of goat. The mean difference for SCC of milk showed significant (P<0.01) differences for all the comparisons varying from 6.88 to 41.88 x 105 cells/ml. The average milk pH values ranged from 6.40 ± 0.09 to 7.36 ± 0.01. The milk SCC and pH increased by 1.039 x 105 cells/ml and 0.24 respectively for each unit rise in CMT score. Similarly, the activity of AST increased by 14.04 AST U/ml for each unit rise in CMT scores. [Vet. World 2009; 2(1.000): 24-26]
The Novel Antibacterials from Two Edible Mushrooms: Agaricus bisporus and Pleurotus sajor caju
D.H. Tambekar,T.P. Sonar,M.V. Khodke,B.S. Khante
International Journal of Pharmacology , 2006,
Abstract: Two edible mushrooms (Basidiomycetes, a macrofungus), Agaricus bisporus and Pleurotus sajor caju were assayed in vitro for their antimicrobial activities using aqueous and organic solvents extracts. The present study showed that Escherichia coli 390, Escherichia coli 739, Enterobacter aerogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella pneumoniae were most sensitive to aqueous, ethanol, methanol and xylene extracts of these mushrooms. Thus indicated that the daily intake of mushroom can provide a natural covering of antibiotics to fight against the common pathogenic organisms.
Thromboembolic Complications after Operations of the Congenital Heart Disease Correction in Children with a Sole Functioning Ventricle

Sovremennye Tehnologii v Medicine , 2010,
Abstract: Aim of investigation is establishment of the lethal thrombosis and attendant complication development reasons and mechanisms after operations of the univentricular heart hemodynamic correction: a high significance of pressure in a pulmonary artery prior to operation, execution of multiple operations and, particularly, the pulmonary artery stenosis operations, a complicated anatomy of disease and attendant anomalies of development, and a bronchopulmonary pathology.Materials and methods. The case histories from the infantile surgical center, the Cardiology RSPC infantile age cardiosurgery department archives were a subject of investigation; a retrospective analysis is made.

Abstract: The research was performed in the area of natural reserve "Dneprovsko-Orelsky" and its adjacent territory – the island Pogorely. We discovered the changes of number of grey heron in colonial settlements, determined the principal factors influencing the formation of spatial structure of island bird communities. The analysis of nest distribution towards tree breeding biotopes was performed and stability of spatial structure of bird colonies was proved. We were tracking the number dynamics of pioneer colony and revealed the principal ecological and anthropogenic factors influencing the fluctuation of its abundance.

Abstract: When comparing the suggested stability indicators, we obtained statistically significant correlations for indicators of annual stability of species and total number and standard deviation of the logarithm of the number. Annual Stability Index can be applied with a high degree of reliability as a characteristic of the averaged structure of the community and its pyramid of abundances. The results of correlation analysis confirm our assumptions about the correlation between stability over the years and indices of species diversity and relative uniformity. The final task of the study was to create a mathematical model of stability, where the independent variables are the indices of species diversity. The calculation of these indices allows forecasting birds’ community stability. According to the result of multiple regression for the indicators of diversity and stability of the breeding birds’ community highest correlation coefficients were obtained fro Shannon index and Simpson's dominance Index.Community stability could be determined by its overall species diversity. When considering the stability of community its diversity should be considered as a combination of uniformity of their total number and number of species. The most suitable predictors for the community stability were the nonparametric index of dominance and information-statistical indices, since they considered simultaneously evenness and richness. The community stability is subject of the complexity of its internal communications pattern.
