B. Ramanath,Tajuddin Shaik,M. Somasekhar Reddy
International Journal of Research in Medical Sciences , 2013, DOI: 10.5455/2320-6012.ijrms20130815
Abstract: 40 Anemic individuals aged between 15-40 years randomly were taken as subjects. They were trained for Trikonasana and its variations, Sarvangasana, Surya namaskara, Yoga mudras for 90 days under supervision of professional yoga trainers. Assessments of various parameters like Pulse rate, B.P, Hb%, were done before the training and after the training of 30th, 60th and 90th day with and without treatment. After yoga with treatment increases Pulse rate and Hb%, while BP was shown normal. [Int J Res Med Sci 2013; 1(3.000): 240-242]

Journal of Modern Physics (JMP) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/jmp.2011.23018
Abstract: We report on the current-voltage (I-V) and capacitance-voltage (C-V) characteristics of the Pd/Ti/n-InP Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs) in the temperature range 160-400 K in steps of 40 K. The barrier heights and ideality factors of Schottky contact are found in the range 0.35 eV (I-V), 0.73 eV (C-V) at 160 K and 0.63 eV (I-V), 0.61 eV (C-V) at 400 K, respectively. It is observed that the zero-bias barrier height decreases and ideality factor n increase with a decrease in temperature, this behaviour is attributed to barrier inhomogeneities by assuming Gaussian distribution at the interface. The calculated value of series resistance (Rs) from the forward I-V characteristics is decreased with an increase in temperature. The homogeneous barrier height value of approximately 0.71 eV for the Pd/Ti Schottky diode has been obtained from the linear relationship between the temperature-dependent experimentally effective barrier heights and ideality factors. The zero-bias barrier height ( ) versus 1/2kT plot has been drawn to obtain evidence of a Gaussian distribution of the barrier heights and values of = 0.80 eV and = 114 mV for the mean barrier height and standard deviation have been obtained from the plot, respectively. The modified Richardson ln(I0/T2)- ( ) versus 1000/T plot has a good linearity over the investigated temperature range and gives the mean barrier height ( ) and Richardson constant (A*) values as 0.796 eV and 6.16 Acm-2K-2 respectively. The discrepancy between Schottky barrier heights obtained from I-V and C-V measurements is also interpreted.
Impact of Sugar Industrial Treated Effluent on the Growth Factor in Sugarcane—Cuddalore, India  [PDF]

Journal of Sustainable Bioenergy Systems (JSBS) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/jsbs.2012.23007
Abstract: The present study focused on evaluating the impact of application of sugar industry treated wastewater effluent on Sugarcane growth comparing at two experimental farms, one irrigated with the effluent and the other with bore well water, over a period of 11 months (March 2010 to January 2011).The result indicated a significant increase in growth pattern, plant height, shoot diameter, number of leaves and nodes, and biomass of the saplings that was irrigated with the effluents compared to that irrigated with bore well water. The growth parameters showed close relationship with the nutrient contents of treated industrial effluent and bore well water, the former being characterized by relatively higher pH, electrical conductivity (μs/cm), total suspended solids (TSS), sulphate, biochemical oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, nitrate and phosphate, and heavy metals—Cu, Pb, Cd, Zn and Mn (mg/l) compared to that of bore well water, indicating profound influence of nutrient rich sugar industry effluent on the plant growth. Higher biomass in sugarcane saplings resulted with irrigation of the effluents compared to that irrigated with the bore well water.
Magneto Convective Flow of a Non-Newtonian Fluid through Non-Homogeneous Porous Medium past a Vertical Porous Plate with Variable Suction  [PDF]
S. Harinath Reddy, M. C. Raju, E. Keshava Reddy
Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physics (JAMP) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/jamp.2016.42031
Abstract: Radiation absorption and chemical reaction effects on unsteady MHD free convective flow of a viscoelastic fluid past a vertical porous plate in the presence of variable suction and heat source is considered. A uniform magnetic field is assumed to be applied in the transverse direction of the flow. The set of non-linear partial differential equations is transformed into a set of ordinary differential equations by super imposing a solution with steady and unsteady part. The set of ordinary differential equations is solved by using regular perturbation scheme. The expressions for velocity, temperature and species concentration fields are obtained and the expressions for Skin friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are also derived. The effects of numerous physical parameters on the above flow quantities are studied with the help of graphs and tables.
Preferential Price and Trade Tied Aid in Fiji: Implications on Price Stability, Certainty and Output Supply
M Reddy
Botswana Journal of Economics , 2009,
Abstract: The development of small developing states has long been influenced by foreign aid. Apart from the macro benefits of bridging the savings and investment gap and building the foreign exchange gap, it is also said to stabilise output price, provide price certainty and affect output price positively. In this paper I examine these three aspects in detail with respect to the price subsidy that Fiji’s sugar industry has been receiving over the last three decades. Price stability is measured by examining the conditional variance by estimating a GARCH (1,1) model and price certainty aspect is examined by testing if the forecast price is an unbiased and efficient predictor of the actual price. The price effect on supply response is examined by estimating the long and short run response equations. The price certainty analysis reveals that the forecast price is an unbiased and efficient predictor of actual price. The price stability test reveals that the world free market price is not volatile and therefore price stability is not a reason for preferential prices. Lastly, the supply response analysis reveals that in the long run, the price effect on output supply is transmitted via acreage change under sugarcane crop. In the short run, price has lagged effect on both sugarcane supply and acreage response. The inelastic price elasticities of output supply have important policy ramifications.
Importance of course Module in Academic Performance of Students at University Level: (A Case of Year II Technology and science Faculty students-Jimma University)

Ethiopian Journal of Education and Sciences , 2005,
Abstract: In recent times, the rate of increase of students strength in the Universalities of Ethiopia is posing big problem to student Community in many ways due to lack of facilities to stay and study in the campus. However, University is centre for Academic Excelence and Training to al types of students to promote sustainable development in the country. But shortage of reference materials is a kind of problem to achieve desired goals set by the University. Here study is designed to get the information regarding role and importance of modules in Academic success of students community. Two cases studied and discussed separately. In the case-I, year I Computer science students of Jimma University are taken as purposive sample and data is colected through the writen examination.
