Abstract: Caso clínico: Se presenta el caso de un varón de 74 a os con una tumoración orbitaria localizada en la fosa lagrimal izquierda. La exploración oftalmológica mostró hipotropía, exoftalmos y ptosis palpebral del ojo izquierdo. Discusión: La tumoración se extirpó mediante una orbitotomía lateral y el resultado anatomopatológico fue de adenocarcinoma de la glándula lagrimal con diferenciación apocrina. Abstract: La lipoestructura mamaria ofrece nuevas alternativas de tratamiento en la cirugía estética de aumento mamario, cumpliendo en algunos casos las expectativas esperadas y en otros no. Analizamos este hecho en 4 tipos de aplicación de lipoestructura mamaria que hemos venido realizando en los últimos a os, centrándonos en un aspecto importante de esta cirugía que es el relleno del polo superior de la mama. Los tipos de aplicación empleados son: aumento mamario simple mediante lipoestructura en comparación con implantes; pexia más lipoestructura frente a pexia más implantes mamarios; reconstrucción de mama tuberosa mediante lipoestructura o implantes y finalmente, relleno periprotésico mediante lipoestructura en mamas sometidas a cirugía de aumento mamario con implantes. En definitiva, podríamos resumir este trabajo en una frase diciendo que la lipoestructura mamaria, a nuestro juicio, no sirve si lo que prima es conseguir el relleno del polo superior de la mama, siendo en este caso de elección la colocación de implantes mamarios. No obstante, en alguno de los casos se alados no solo es una alternativa, sino que obtiene resultados superiores a los logrados sólamente con implantes. The mammary structural fat graft offers news treatment options in breast augmentation cosmetic surgery, but it sometimes meets expectations and sometimes doesn′t. We analyze 4 different types of lipostructure mammary applications that we have been using in the last years, focused in an important aspect of this surgery as it′s the filling of the upper mammary pole. These applications are: mammary augmentation by simple structural fat compared with the use of mammary implants; structural fat graft and mastopexy versus implants and mastopexy; tuberous breast reconstruction using structural fat graft or implants and finally, periprosthetic filling in breast augmentation with mammary implants using structural fat graft. In short, we could summarize this paper telling that in our opinion, structural fat graft doesn′t work if our intention is to fill the upper mammary pole. However, structural fat graft is not only an alternative; in some cases it exceeds the expected results using mammary implants.
On the Connection between Generalized Hypergeometric Functions and Dilogarithms

Abstract: Several integrals involving powers and ordinary hypergeometric functions are rederived by means of a generalized hypergeometric function of two variables (Appell's function) recovering some well-known expressions as particular cases. Simple connections between dilogarithms and a kind of Appell's function are shown. A relationship is generalized to polylogarithms.

Abstract: We discuss the power scaling rules along the lines of a complete Heavy Quark Effective Field Theory (HQEFT) for the description of heavy quarkonium production through a color-octet mechanism. To this end, we firstly derive a tree-level heavy quark effective Lagrangian keeping both particle-antiparticle mixed sectors allowing for heavy quark-antiquark pair annihilation and creation, but describing only low-energy modes around the heavy quark mass. Then we show the consistency of using HQEFT fields in constructing four-fermion local operators a la NRQCD, to be identified with standard color-octet matrix elements. We analyze some numerical values extracted from charmonia production by different authors and their hierarchy in the light of HQEFT.
New extraction of color-octet NRQCD matrix elements from charmonium hadroproduction

Abstract: We re-analyze Tavatron data on charmonium hadroproduction in the framework of the color-octet model implemented in the event generator PYTHIA taking into account initial-state radiation of gluons and Altarelli-Parisi evolution of final-state gluons fragmenting into $c\bar{c}$ pairs. We obtain new values for the color-octet matrix elements relevant to this production process. We discuss the sensitivity of our results to the transverse momentum lower cut-off employed in the generation to avoid the problematic $p_t{\to}0$ region, arguing about the reliability of our previous extraction of the NRQCD matrix elements for the $^3S_1^{(8)}$ and $^1S_0^{(8)}+^3P_J^{(8)}$ contributions. Finally we extrapolate to LHC energies to get predictions on the $J/\psi$ direct production rate.

Abstract: Piezoelectric ceramic materials are of main interest in the field of spray-dryng applications, in order to generate microscopic droplets which are difficult to obtain by mechanical systems. In this work an excitation electronic system for piezoelectric transducers is presented. The system is oriented to device characterization with resonance frequencies up to 2MHz and is based on a full bridge DC – AC resonant voltage converter. The converter applies a square voltage waveform burst, limiting the device under test self-heating. The following test parameters can be adjusted: frequency, duty cycle and peak-to-peak voltage of the output waveform, number of output pulses constituting the burst and its repetition rate. First results with a 1.668MHz ceramic disc show the spray-dryng efficiency dependence on the excitation frequency, but also on the duty cycle, minimum number of pulses to start the spray-dryng process and peak-to-peak voltage. This last variable modifies the droplet diameter distribution but not the peak value, centered at 9μm. El desarrollo de materiales piezocerámicos ha despertado un renovado interés en el campo de la atomización para generar gotas de tama o microscópico, difíciles de conseguir por los medios mecánicos habituales. En este trabajo se presenta un sistema de excitación de cerámicas piezoeléctricas encaminado a su caracterización, basado en un convertidor DC/AC resonante con topología de puente completo que permite trabajar hasta 2 MHz. La salida del convertidor, aplica una onda de tensión cuadrada bajo la forma de ráfagas de impulsos, limitando el autocalentamiento de las cerámicas testeadas. Las se ales de control permiten fijar todos los parámetros de test: frecuencia de resonancia, número de impulsos de salida así como frecuencia de repetición, ciclo de trabajo y tensión pico a pico de los mismos. Los primeros ensayos realizados sobre una cerámica de 1,668 MHz han permitido observar la lógica dependencia de la eficacia de atomización con la frecuencia de excitación y han puesto de manifiesto la importancia del ciclo de trabajo, del número mínimo de impulsos para iniciar la atomización y de su valor pico a pico de tensión que genera distintas distribuciones en diámetro de gota, aunque siempre con un máximo situado alrededor de 9 μm.

Abstract: Breast cancer is the most frequent malignant neoplasm and the leading cause of cancer death in women in the world. Early detection techniques have been proposed on the basis of bioelectrical measurements. The aim of this study was to evaluate analytically and experimentally the inductive phase shift as a function of multi-frequency induced currents in breast cancer conditions. Virtual simulation by biophysical models and experimental measurements by magnetic induction in agar phantoms were developed to estimate the inductive phase shift as a function of the bulk electrical properties in typical breast volumes with tumors in specific positions. The analytical and experimental results are qualitatively consistent and provide evidence that the inductive phase shift has a potential clinical value to detect cancerous tumors toward inside a typical volume of breast tissue.
