From the Trap of Difference to That of Excellence: The Women Artists, Their Works and the Artistic Field  [PDF]

Abstract:

The works produced both by ethnic artists and by women artists lead us to suspect that either the aesthetic sensibility of art experts has not evolved sufficiently or that it is not “pure” enough to free them from the load of prejudices surrounding such works and those who produce them. To illustrate this problem, we will first offer two substantially different examples. The first concerns Report No. 8 commissioned by Emakunde, the Basque Women’s Institute (Spain) and published in the mid-nineteen nineties. The second refers to the Kunstkompass, a tool used to establish the ranking of the one hundred most internationally recognised artists. Next, we will examine the four clearly ranked circles of recognition existing in the artistic field. Finally, to demonstrate up to what point the position of women artists in the artistic field is that of inside yet out, we will analyse the content of two articles published in mid-February 2008 in the Babelia supplement of the El País spanish newspaper about two exhibitions of works by women artists.

Abstract: The scientific article presented here is intended to provide university teachers the theoretical basis for their work in the classroom, considering three principal theoretical learning paradigms: Behaviorism, cognitivism and constructivism; and four particular theories that have been labeled like constructivist (psychogenetic theory, meaningful learning theory, theory of strategic learning and the historical-cultural theory). Thus, this theoretical review provides guidelines to act in the university classroom that can lead to the elimination of “teaching without learning”.

En este artículo, los procesos educativos son vistos como lugares de colonización y de liberación. Por tanto, los fines asignados a la educación condicionarían las posibilidades liberadoras de los procesos educativos. En consecuencia, el autor sugiere –desde el paradigma de la interculturalidad– una serie de pistas para la construcción de mediaciones educativas descolonizadas y descolonizadoras. Abstract. The educational processes are seen in this paper as “places” of colonization and freedom. Thus, the educational goals that have been assigned to education would condition the liberating possibilities of the teaching processes. As a result, the author suggests –from the interculturality paradigm– a series of keys for constructing both decolonized and decolonizing educational mediations.

Abstract: the paper shows the risks present in a sterilization center and their relation with biosafety. it identifies the different types of risks and makes a description of each of them. for obtaining information, observation was used as the primary data source and the existing records as a secondary source. the risks that may appear in a sterilization center are of biological, physical, chemical type and also those conditioned by human and environmental factors. the biological risk is the fundamental one. the purpose of this paper is to expand the level of knowledge and responsibility of the workers in a sterilization center so that they are better prepared for facing their daily work and preserving their health.

Abstract: Se muestran los riesgos que están presente en una central de esterilización y su relación con la bioseguridad. Se identifican los diferentes tipos de riesgo y se hace una descripción de cada uno de ellos. Para obtener la información se utilizó la observación, como fuente primaria y los registros existentes como fuente secundaria. Los riesgos que se pueden presentar en una central de esterilización son de tipo biológico, físico, químico y los condicionados por factores humanos y ambientales. El riesgo biológico es el principal de todos. Se pretende con la realización de este trabajo aumentar el nivel de conocimiento y de responsabilidad de los trabajadores de una central de esterilización con la intención de que estén mejor preparados para enfrentar su diaria labor y preservar su salud. La domesticación del paisaje durante la Edad del Bronce gallego

Abstract: This paper deals with a set of Bronze Age domestic sites from inner part of Galicia. Through them a specific model of settlement and site formation is proposed which is very helpful in the study of the social landscape of this period in the prehistory of Nort-west Iberia. Evidence of other phenomena, which includes barrows and funerary sites and rock art, is also considered, and contributes to the formation of the social landscape. Partiendo del estudio de un conjunto de hábitats de una zona de Galicia se define un nuevo tipo de yacimiento habitacional. Esta definición sirve de base para una revisión del paisaje social de la Edad del Bronce en el Noroeste, en la cual se realizan algunas consideraciones sobre fenómenos que no se incluyen en el mundo de los hábitats (enterramientos y grabados rupestres), pero que, evidentemente, contribuyen a formar el conjunto del paisaje social.
El esquema de aceptación europeo para productos de construcción en contacto con agua de consumo humano European acceptance scheme for construction products in contact with water intended for human consumption

Abstract: El desarrollo legislativo y reglamentario europea se ha ido desarrollando de distinta manera en los diferentes Estados miembros (EM). Por su parte, la entrada en vigor de determinadas Directivas Europeas llevan asociado el desarrollo específico de algunos aspectos concretos, o la unificación de criterios, que pueden ser diferentes en varios EM. Los productos de construcción en contacto con agua de consumo humano están afectados por las circunstancias descritas anteriormente. Por una parte, distintos Estados miembros tienen establecidos diferentes criterios de aceptación para la instalación de productos en contacto con el agua de consumo, y por otra parte, tanto la Directiva sobre Productos de Construcción como la Directiva sobre agua de consumo humano afectan a distintos aspectos reglamentarios que han de desarrollarse para poder cumplir con lo establecido en estas directivas. Con el fin de adecuar la reglamentación de los distintos EM, que forman parte de la Unión Europea (UE), a los requisitos y especificaciones recogidos en las directivas mencionadas anteriormente, se vio la necesidad de desarrollar el Esquema de Aceptación Europeo para Productos de Construcción en Contacto con Agua de Consumo Humano (EAS). The quality of the water intended for human consumption is regulated through the Directive 98/83/EC (Drinking Water Directive). Products used in the construction of water supply systems can cause significant deterioration of the water quality and therefore many Member States operate national acceptance schemes for these products. These products are covered by the Directive 89/106/EEC (Construction Products Directive) which calls for the preparation of European specifications for construction products and the approximation of the regulatory provisions of the Member States. In order to minimise the differences in the national regulatory provisions and to enable the elaboration of European specifications for construction products in contact with water for human consumption, the regulatory authorities of the Member States have agreed to establish a European Acceptance Scheme (EAS) for construction products.
EL ARTE TEXTIL AóNIKENK: POSIBLES MODOS DE ADOPCIóN Y ALGUNAS PARTICULARIDADES

Abstract: we present the foundations that support the conclusion that some groups aonikenk joined the textile practice in the late eighteenth century and that the technicalities of such practice are indebted to those of the araucanians. it also raises some explanatory hypotheses about the ways in which these southern groups have adopted the textiles and its difficulties involved. it also explores the tissues produced, the fates that were given to them until the 1880s and poses a possible reason for its adoption. parallel some assumptions are refuted rooted among scholars of indigenous patagonian cultures and of textiles from the region, related to the causes of the incorporation of textile art by aonikenk and limitations inherent in the lack of sheep. for the analysis charts and written historical documents are used as well as ethnographic research results. it concludes that the development of textile art among aonikenk would have been closely associated with equestrian activities built around the same time.
